Does glownooter automatically disable over the air updates from Barnes and Noble. If it doesn't how would I go about disabling updates.

It not disable by default

What launcher do you use?

Being a tablet, I've used just stock ICS launcher for a long time now. I was wondering if you guys prefer any other launchers and if so, which ones?
I think if you asked on themes and apps you'd get a better response , just word the question into a statement

I stick with the stock ICS launcher. Every third party launcher I have fiddled with makes my tablet look like a huge cell phone or slows it to a crawl.
On my phone I use ADW.Launcher - pretty clean and lots of fun to configure. Works fine on the tab and does not cause any lag I can notice; but (in my opinion) - it looks like crap compared to the stock ICS launcher.
Just my $0.02 USD
Sslauncher, the best

Is it worth it?

I have my tablet coming this week. I had a transformer prime and a galaxy s3. Both are rooted and running custom roms. My question is , is it worth it to load a custom rom or should I just root googles software? I heard google makes really good software so is installing a different rom going to improve the performance and or battery life? What is your option?
Use it bone stock for a few days to get a good feel for it to begin with. When you're comfortable with it, go ahead and root/unlock, and flash a few different Roms to see what you like/don't like and decide from there. After I rooted and flashed, I haven't looked back to stock.

I would root it for rooted's same lol. But I cannot live without Pie. So I'm stuck with a ROM although there are some aspects of stock that are nicer

I agree with Trickster. Get it and make sure the software is up to date. Use it stock for a few days, get a feel for the battery, and speed while stock. After a week or two flash a ROM and enjoy.
There are very few reasons to stick to a stock ROM when it's just vanilla android. You don't lose anything. I've been running paranoid android for ages purely because of Tablet mode and I haven't missed out on anything,

Tablet mode means the user interface is optimized for a true tablet layout as opposed to the Nexus 10's which has a phablet user interface by default which is a hybrid between phone and tablet interface. Also the tablet layout makes better use of the large amount of screen real estate available on the tablet.

Since many of us do not come from HTC One X, we don't know what you're talking about. Any hint?
It's a live wallpaper that take pictures from a selected place and make them appear randomly on the background and they also slowly translate... Hope it's more clear
