Whats the most stable rom?

As of today? I am looking to install a 2.2 rom for a co worker. Since i will not be around to trouble shoot after installation I need something very very stable and w/ everything working. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

p.s. I know there is an identical thread but no one has posted there in over 2 months and at the speed of these new releases that post is like ancient now.

here we go again.
anyway, hyperdroid v1.6 (non-sense build) works really good for daily use. For a sense build, i can't answer, cause i just don't use it (it's frugly)

Round 10000th.
All builds are stable.

By now, who make the builds stable are the Kernels.
So the builds, who have the last updates in kernel sutff, are the most completely.
The build I most like are the HD and Z, but they don't have the camera working, so for now, I chose another one with it and the last kernel who fix the premature flash.
Choise by your taste.

U should have posted it and get flamed in Android General section...

I'm using phiremod skinnyEVO 1.3, no problems.

The most stable is the 1.D.10.T 10-16-10...
Kidding aside, it's a little tough to call, different folks -- different strokes i guess, after trying differnet combos, radio's etc....
for me the best has been the mDeeJay's Froyo sense.... (specially with hastarian kernals)
i like v2.5... over 1.1 clean....

Difficult to answer and a bit dangerous also The latest ones would be amoug the most stable although not always necessarily so.

i think anyone who posts these types of questions, especially in DEVELOPMENT!!!
should just be banned.... and go get an iphone.

Tell your co-worker to join the forum and search for himself/herself.

It's called Windows Mobile 6.5.
The HD2 comes with an OS that is exactly what your colleague needs. Why would you even consider sticking them on Android if they cannot fix any issues that crop up?
I'm a big fan of Android and would recommend it to anybody, as long as they can deal with any issues that ensue. If they can't, I'd recommend they stick with Windows.

In before the move perhaps..this should be posted in he HD2 Android General section with the other 100 "whats the best?"

My friend is giving me his hd2 tomorrow to flash android on, unfortunately I haven't done My research and have just one day......
So my question is what stable, feature filled desert should I let him taste? And who is the chef?
Please, post links and detail why _________ is the best ROM build?
If I get plenty of posts I will try to update regularly to show noobs what they want to hear.

like the post above said. read. there isn't a best rom out there. just pick one that fits your/your friend's needs. personally i use UD 3.0.1.

Thanks matt, personally I like cyanogenmod the best, but I have xperia x10.... the main point of me asking is because I don't have time to research... since I'm xperia I don't know how to do nandroid so I have to learn that tonight. What I would like to know is which one is extremely stable, or are they all?

No one is going to just hand you the answer. Seriously, it will take you all of 2 or 3 hours to research what you need to know.

There is no perfect build. You are talking about an OS that was never meant to run on the HD2 running on said phone. There is always going to be something wrong or unstable about a build. It's a matter of what you can live with. So there is no true answer to your question. You'll have to pick which one you think will have the least amount of problems and cross your fingers. You might just have to keep researching even after you get his phone flashed because I'm sure you'll have to do it again.
Or you could just teach him how to do it himself because he will have to keep up on which ever build to get the latest fixes.

There are several Builds, i prefer smal ones without pre installed software.
Typhoon or so. Its fast smooth and stable. Well my dad owns a Desire HD not rooted and there is a lot of rubbish on it.
So i think you have to read the threads wich personaly fits to your friend.

Best Hero ROMs

Hello,
I own an Epic4g rooted/rommed/themed and my friend with a Hero is jealous and wants me to give his phone similar treatment. I'm sure this discussion has been beat to death but I wondering if you guys could recommend the best Hero ROMs that are out right now.
We're looking for -Speed -Stability -Battery Life. I don't want him calling me every other day because his phone is glitching. Any ROM/kernel combos that will fit the bill?

I agree. I personaly have the Nightly installed, but for what you asked for, AOSP will do.

Forgive me. From referencing the wiki page I'm finding AOSPmod 2.2. Is this not "true" AOSP or am I looking in the wrong place?

Look in the development section, its aosp's rom that was last finished in december (i believe). Its fast, small, and very stable. It was the last rom I had on my hero, and it was the best I had used.

oh.. i use search functions to death... ok.. and maybe i should be a lil more specific.. also.. is there a 2.2 rom with sense that is stable? i am on 2.1 damage control 1.0(bought it this way) it is fast and the sense stuff works great.. but.. i would like some of the newer sense apps.. like friendstream.. also i keep getting error 67.. also i am flashed to cricket.. i have been told changing roms wont mess with carrier settings.. ughh.. i hate being a noob..
If this were IOS or Xbox or Wii modding.. I know a Ton.. but am Very new to android modding.. Loving my hero tho... i know it is a little slow.. but .. it is a Cool phone..

Sense 3.5 comparisons

Hey guys, I've been away from the mt4g section for a few days (upgraded to the amaze) and wow it totally looks like another section because of all the new releases! wth happened here lol
anyways, I don't have a lot of time to test and compare the recent releases: virtuous, capy's, and tdj's.
can someone give me a quick run through of which has the upper hand as of now.
I normally am the one to say, "just flash and test them all!!!" But it's no longer my DD because im giving it to my sis, so give me your feedbacks thanks.

TDJ's port is the best and most stable ATM.

[Q] So many to choose from

So I'm ready to try my hand at flashing a mod. My problem is there are so many to choose from and I really don't know the difference between all the current CMW7S. I'm really just looking for a stable OS that has no (or close to no) bugs. I still want hardware exceleration and the ability to view flash and embedded video. Any suggestions on a good ROM?

I would go with standing on the shoulders giants one....

You know its funny. I just got my kindle this weekend and based on what I found by reading, I chose a cm7 Tom for stability. Just by a little reading I was able to root, put custom recovery and install a rom without wasting a post. The cm7 I found by reading has been great. That would be my suggestion.

I have read quite a few threads on rooms here. I issue I have is a lack of understan
ding the difference between the half dozen or so that look like they are what I am looking for. When each thread has pages of mixed reviews it's hard for a noob to decipher what is stable and what is not.
And thank you fiddlefaddle I will give that one a try. I have a pretty good understanding of flashing.
