Hey guyz....
I have decided to change the boot animation of my galaxy y...
But 3 que. Arise in my mind...
1. How to create a backup of my stock boot animation...
2. How to use boot animation installer..(u can post a guide or a thread if u want)
3. If at any point i want to revert back to my stock animation..
How can i..??

Samsung stock bootanimation comes with weird format that's called "samsungani" on /system/bin, u need to change the samsungani with the files that support bootanimation.zip on /system/media, u can find it on any custom rom.
To backup just copy samsungani on /system/bin to ur sdcard n copy again to /system/bin if want to revert back to stock bootanim (dont forget to set the permission)

when you say importance, i do not get your point,
however you did ask how to install bootanimations,
so if you are on stock rom or any rom which does not support bootanimation.zip's then this is the solution

It enable the custom bootanimation n also installing the bootanimation.zip (u can change the bootanimation.zip if u dont like this bootanimation)
For the 2nd it will installing the stock bootanimation n remove the bootanimation.zip in ur /system/media coz stock bootanimation doesn't need bootanimation.zip

Yup works good for what I use it for but don't blindly start doing things or you could find your self in a mess. I only say that because I've been their done that. Good luck if you have any questions ask away

Works great, multiple scripts built in for various things. One good one being reboot recovery as most ROMs right now don't have extended reboot baked in yet...

Has anyone had a problem with the root browser in this lately? it refuses to let me unzip something or transfer file to another folder.
Thanks
Fix you download the tools to let you unzip? When you enter root browser it prompts you with a message stating to download did you accept to it?

Works great for me. If u use the font changer, set the font in LG settings to something other than Roboto. Then install whatever font u choose, reboot then select Roboto in LG settings and then u have the font u installed.

yea. I mean it will start but never finish. And I can move files sometimes but not other times. It does the same thing on my DNA and on my Spectrum 2 before I got the G2. It strange. I can use any other file manager just fine. Just not Rom toolbox
Where is the link of ROM toolbox pro kindly send the link to me no te 2 n 7100

Does this work if using Nova Launcher? I tried to flash it but it failed.
How do you install this widget?
Probably not with 3rd party launchers. Just copy the files to your system/app folder with a root browser and change permissions then reboot.
Or use the recovery file manager.

is it rooted? also what version of android is it on? Gravity box can help you with that if you are on Jelly bean+, if you aren't, you can open up the play store and search for status bars, and you can use these without root.
My galaxy y is Gingerbread (2.3.6)
And I don't want custom statusbar...I only want to change battery icon

didnt I give you the answer yesterday? you need to be rooted and deodexed
use a root browser to copy framework-res.apk from system/framework to your sd card
rename framework-res.apk to framework-res.zip
extract it with a zip app like zarchiver
replace the pngs and only pngs on a like for like basis - same filenames - dont touch xml files or anything else
rezip
change back to .apk
put in a flashable zip and flash in cwm with system mounted or push to system with rw-r-r but flashing is better
and questions go in Q & A section
You give me answer yesterday but don't know why It was deleted...I can't see it in xda but i can see it in my gmail
