How to kill Tapatalk Messages!

Chrome Users: ignore this step. Firefox Users: Get https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
Get http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/41369
Turn on "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in Windows if it's not on already (My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab)
Chrome: Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\fldfipkglonbepjlmnkfofeajjbijeol\1.0\
Firefox: Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\hk0gk3cd.default\gm_scripts\
(The bolded folders may be different for you. If so, sort by creation date and open the latest one.)
Edit the js file with notepad. Below the line that says "im*o" : "in my honest opinion", cut/paste the following:
"Sent from my * using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk" : "[Tapatalk1]",
"Sent from my * * using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk" : "[Tapatalk2]",
"Sent from my * * * using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk" : "[Tapatalk3]",

We can also edit the javascript this way:
1. Right click on greasemonkey icon on the lower right side of the firefox window and select "Manage User Script"
2. Click on "Replace Text on Webpage" and click "edit".
3. Give the path to Notepad text editor in the browse window [%windir%\notepad.exe] and press enter....
I think this will be easier... You might consider editing the guide and adding this...

or, they could just turn it off.

It'd take a few minutes to write a script that would issue a 24 hour ban on anyone who posts that phrase. The ban message could then instruct the person that they must disable the tapatalk signature.
That's how I'd do it at least. I know the admins here would never do that... for better or for worse...

Look guys, admin agrees and they are working with the developer to fix this with an update to tapatalk expected not too far away. Then the 13 year olds who look on annoying people with spam as the greatest achievements of their lives will have to go back to torturing defenseless animals or whatever they did before their mommies and daddies gave them a cell phone they don't have the maturity to use.

Cough Cough, if the developer was really interested in modifying (not fixing) this attribute of his application he/she would have done so in the release that came out a few day ago, well after the inititial cerfuffal. The changes in that build were, "v1.3.1:- Add Signature Customization". So don't hold your breath.
My guess on a more correct statement would be "Look guys, admin agrees and they are working ON the developer to fix this..."

This is specifically for the people who want it OFF.
I do, so I researched a way to do it, and found this out.
Hopefully others who frequent these forums find it useful as well.

messages can't be sent outside of the actual facebook website they use to allow it, but it got abused hardcore.
place addition support via graph is in the work, meaning currently no one outside of the facebook website can add places. hopefully support comes soon!

-assignable home tiles
these are the things I'm going to work on for the winmo version next.
once I've got chat working I'll start on android

unfortunately you can't poke outside of the website either you can only view who has poked you. don't ask me why

if you made it so you can view more then the first 30 or so parts of a threaded message (the current version of official app doesnt) i would pay for it.

Could someone please make a FULL list of the apps that we can remove from 2.1.0.A.435 EXACTLY as they shown on Titanium backup and pleeeease explain what are they for!!!

I can't remember everything I removed, but to name a few....moxier mail, wisepilot, face recognition, learning client, pc companion, Facebook, all the useless keyboard, timescape, quadpop or however its spelt, video edit, neoreader, postcards, and probably some more I can't think of. Also, I have a bunch forzen in titanium backup.

I keep bouncing back and forth between stock 2.1 and beta 4....i can't make up my damn mind. Haven't had any problems on beta 4...but then I miss the modded se camera app by 28spawn....and of course video.

I'm also waiting for the beta to get stable before I try. After all we all know that 2.1 is the end of story for X10 while X10 is capable of running 2.3 or even higher.
One big thumbs up for the XDA Developers.

That would be most helpful, i have already removed some - using the 'clean' option in flashtool, but i de-selected quite a few from the automatic list as i was a bit unsure!

So... Can somebody explain to us which apps are doing what so we can choose what to remove and what to not remove? Not wisepilot quadrapop etc but the other ones with the confusing names.. Some services for example.

- CrashSMS (DebugHelper (Service))
- FaceRecognition (the main thing that eats your speed - does not affect Face Detection in Mediascape or Gallery3D)
- LearningClient (Word-Learning for the default keyboards)
- neoreader (New Barcode app)
- OMAClientProvisioning, OmaDatasyncService (Part of the Sony Ericsson Synchronisation)
- PcCompanion (Disables the popup when you connect the USB)
- PicoTts, TtsService (Speech)
- qcsemcservice, SemcCheckin (send crash info)
- ReadyToRun (removes the SMS record)
- SnsContactImageCacheProvider, uWlopProvider (Part of Timescape)
- touchnote (New crappy Note app)
- UserDictionaryProvider (self explanatory)

It certainly does - thank-you. I would like to ask the following before i remove them (I have backed-up with TB)
1) can i remove all other "sonysync" elements/are there any apps that use the same icon (as you view them in Titanium Back-up) that i should not remove!!??
2) will removing this mean i cannot use any voice activated features?
3) SMS record?
4) Will this prevent any other keyboards learning words?

did you do a full back-up? if so restore it as a simple fix.
have you re-booted since removing them - reboot helps
I find that once you have un-installed system apps you find an entry in menu/applications/manage applications. some remnants of the un-installed files (data and caches) click on them and select uninstall - reboot once finished. I don't know if this is causing your problem - or if it help, it's just my (limited) experience!!

Your other option is... if you can get this far - long press on any text entry field and select the "input method" option.. then select a different keyboard..
or you can reinstall the keyboard from here..

Hello all,
I have observed some missing features/app in spice uno model of androidone and like to share if someone can suggest any solution.
- no call recorder app
- no feature/app to block call/sms
- schedule of shutdown/start-up not possible
- deactivation of specific SIM not possible
any possible solution ?

1. Use auto record app from play store . it has a red call icon ... Works good and uploads to Google drive as he said.
2. Download call blacklist again red icon . it is simple add number for blacklist and no calls .
Note . SMS won't work from android 4.0+
3. There are apps on playstor for shutdown and on . u can use DU battery saver (download pro from other sites ) and set all stuff like timings on off...
4. Sim management is application for ur 4th question ,...

This information is for you who are concerned about recovering / arrange the GAPPS in your Chinese mobile. No need to have rooted. All the GAPPS are inside the APP CENTER of all Chinese phones!

The page is in Spanish but you will understood it very well:
1 Start the app APP CENTER
2 Click on the second chinese tab (1)
3 Press on "More" (2)
4 Search Google pack. Take it easy, what we seek is rather down. When we find it, select it by clicking on it.
5 Well, we have all of Google app to install. Click on the arrow you would want to install.
6 to synchronize contacts and calendar these are the two that we need.

Hello, I was hoping you could help me with this, because none of it makes any sense to me. I dont even know where to start. Number 1 says to go to the app center. Well, where is this so called app center? I also dont know if Im supposed to do this on my phone or what.
