Hi All,
i am not a developer and found this link which is having kernel 3.X.X.X drivers, so i thought they may be ICS drivers for Tegra 2 Ventana board, so can some one who is have knowledge on the Kernel please validate these drivers...
By using these drivers can we have H/W acceleration with ICS/JB...

System Requirements
Host PC running Linux Ubuntu 9.04 or higher.
Tegra Linux Driver Package which contains a kernel image, bootloader, NVIDIA drivers, and flashing utilities. For more information, see the Release Notes.

Looks like these, as the title states, are for linux. I think we still have to wait for the drivers from Motorola to be included in the next ICS update.
Oh come on...
Please search before making new thread.
Keyworld 'linux driver' can take you to the related previous post. *sigh*

Even tough that its true, i like the fact that people are not giving up and still looking for the drivers. :good:
EDIT: Guys, did you actually bothered reading what he posted? Those seems to be the real deal. It clearly say that those are drivers for linux kernel 3.1.10 for VENTANA AP20H, which is the chipset that our beloved Atrix 4G uses. Don't know if im being too optimistic.
According to http://nv-tegra.nvidia.com/gitweb/?...e;hb=12a12a3ad4bf4d54bfeefa75b42bae2801472e82 we have sources for 3.1.10 kernel. And it seems now we have binaries that we didn't have before. But one concern:
$ curl -I http://developer.download.nvidia.com/devzone/tools/ventana_Tegra-Linux-R15.1.0_armel.tbz2 | grep Last-Modified
Last-Modified: Fri, 20 Jul 2012 00:29:36 GMT
This package have already been available on nvidia server for 11 days. It might mean that:
1) It is not our drivers, otherwise someone would notice them
2) Everyone was busy with searching for a leak on moto's servers

Yes. I remember there was a big attack on Nvidia servers by hackers. So they were doing some sort of security maintenance. It's time we bring this to the notice of our awesome devs here.

you also need mtd utils, most distros support this as well, but here is the git if your distro doesn't support it out of the box: git://git.infradead.org/mtd-utils.git

Not sure if I know what I am doing, but when the poop hits the propeller, I have never had to build source that wasn't already at least somewhat modified for my device.
I got all the proprietary stuff, the countless extra common additions, and now it seems I have to go find all the hardware build parts missing because all we got was a nexus layout and dashed hopes of much more.
It may or may not be realistic to just merge in the missing parts, but at least it is a good start. Everything is configured to work, it just wants some stuff I am still downloading.

I will post every detail I can, but I will admit a lot of it is currently mixed in with DHD and Dinc, as we have been working as one team instead of separate devices. I will make a point to link up what has been going on soon. That was overlooked on my part.
The builds in the first post are functional, but the version being built from source should not and will not be a [email protected]$$ rip -off of another device. That is costing time...

He responded to make a valid point because a lot of the posts that have been removed are the direct result of not reading the first post. There have been MANY posts throughout the entire site pushing for releases only days after the initial release of a partial source. I think it is best you keep in mind, that nothing he said is directly rude unless you choose to read it that way.

Adobe announced that they have one more build release to add support for 4.0, but that will be it (aside from standard bug and security fixes I suppose).

Who knows if this will change in the future, but if any Android release in the future breaks this compatibility that might be it for Flash on mobile devices altogether.

It's actually a huge detail. I for one will be happy just to see ICS, but ICS will pale in comparison to CM9.
Why wouldn't it be a cm build? The only reason we don't have one right now was because of the source not being released for honeycomb and cm doesn't downgrade devices. Shoot, cyanogen now works for Samsung, so they'd have a business incentive to get ics on the gt10.1 fast (albiet unofficially) considering it's their flagship tablet.
I'm waiting for ICS update from acer. Could somebody tell me the time when it starts updating to ICS? If there's an unofficial way to make it happen, please inform me about it. Thank you.

Probably 6 months. It will be on the newly released tablets first. Then, sometime later, it will be officially pushed to current owners.
But then again, nobody really knows except the manufacturers.
Experimental Roms, will be out before then. But NOBODY is going to personally contact you. You'll have to check the dev threads on your own
As of right now Acer has not made any announcements regarding ICS to the A500 tablets. But like it was previously said, doesn't mean we wont hear about it in a few months.
AHHHH its all over the net.. acer has said mid January. But that does mean for sure we will get it then.. they always seem to be a bit behind..AS far as the dev of rom in this forum..
I hope i am wrong but seems they are stuck with driver issue for GPS CAMERA AND CAMCORDER.. AS well as a few other things.. I think these are proprietary to the acer tablet. this could make us have to wait for acer to release a rom or drivers specific for this tablet .
so as said about . NOBODY REALLY HAS ANY IDEA. Blazing and his team are working very hard i would say send him some pay pal help..As we all have done.. .
READ THE forum before asking a question so common as this one. its been answered a Billion times in the last few months..
dont take this personal But SEARCH FUNCTION HAS BEEN CREATED TO AVOID THREADS AS THIS ONE..
GOOD LUCK..

Thanks, at least someone has some respect
Where's my thanks? )`; *tears*
here you go !!
The latest rumors now go that the A500 and PB's G100 will expect the ICS update coming April. It may well be that Acer kept its promise they made in January when they pushed the launchdate to April.

Yes....it will be available when these kinda sh*tty threads are not opened.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
it will be all over internet, you will hear about it in minutes after its released, there is no need for opening threads like this every two day...

Next time just edit build.prop and reboot.
Then you really may fool some these people... (...who obviously believe there's some secret circle here on xda, getting everything before them, currently testing android 6.1 beta. And although we're sworn to secrecy, they expect us to answer questions like the one above.)
