XBMC Lg Optimus One - Optimus One, P500, V Themes and Apps

It is possibile to have xbmc app on our peones ? I tryed to install But when i start the app it crashes . There are a build of XBMC work ing. One our phones ?

Honestly i wouldnt get my hopes up for the P500. Xbmc is not that lightweight, its a full blown media centre with way too much happening in the background. Its so much more than just a way to watch movies. I myself am holding out for a stable build and will then compile an x86 version

CM9 roms and netflix workaround..

So i know lot's of people want to know how to get netflix and hulu working on cm9 roms for the fire and i think i have a work around for those willing to spend a few bucks. I've been using a program called Playon to stream news and comedy central to my xbox and droid for years and it works great...so i got to thinking..i wonder if it works on my kindle fire running the 2-24 cm9 rom? I installed the playon app from the market..then i installed mx video player from the market (don't know if it's really needed but i think it runs better than the stock video player) and after a couple of minutes i was watching netflix on my cm9! With some router tweaks i can now watch my shows anywhere there is wifi too! The picture is of course not high def but it plays pretty good considering there is no hw accel being used. Don't know if this helps anyone but just thought i'd put it out there cuz i'm finally able to watch netflix and hulu on my cm9!!!!

Im Bout to cry of over joyness thanks man
No problem man! Glad i could help someone
I installed PlayOn server and the app on my Kindle, but the Kindle wont find my computer? They're both on the same wifi network. Help?
Are you using windows? If so open up the program and restart it. Then reboot your kindle and if it still doesn't work reboot your router. It took my a couple of times to get it to connect on wifi.

Lags in chome

Hello every1 i installed win 8 about 2 weeks ago and i noticed something really annoying.when i play videos on 720p in chrome (desktop) they lag.Dont dont lag like all the time but they lag for like 1 2 secs and then they start running smooth again.I already check for drivers and i got the newest one.I tried in IE and i dont have this problem but EI sucks big time.I know that my video card is kinda old but with windows 7 i didnt had any problems with videos on youtube even on 1080p.So is there something i can do about those lags?Does any1 else have the same problem as me?
Flash videos or HTML5 (or both)? Can you provide an example link?
All videos lag.Idn if they are html5 or flash. They lag in general at 720p and chrome lags compared to win7 and it consumes more processor power compared to win7 idn why is that..

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. And like the above poster said, give us a link to a video that lags for you.
BFvsGF chanell all the the videos lag at 720p and with win7 they didnt i gues its from the chrome because a fr of mine got the same problem
I don't know actually, but Chrome on my computer lag like hell since Windows 7. I use IE10 even it lacks a few features (and I really hate that most web pages don't have favicon) Maybe Chrome conflict with my hardware idk, maybe you have conflicting problem like me.

Do you have good net speed?
And did u install the latest version of flash player
if not try installing them

Its probably a chrome thing
My internet is pretty fast downloading with 8mb/sec i got the lattest drivers of my videocard and flash player
Try to reinstall chrome using one of the dev versions. Not as unstable as you would think. Practically as stable as the stable version itself.

Chrome is a memory hog comparte to others like internet explorer.First make sure there arent too many background proccesses and apps on gchrome. Unless your system specs are good enough videos wont run smooth, especially not at 720p.You can do it via task manager and post a screenshot. In the meantime, while we figure out the problem use another browser easy on resources.

[Q] XBMC install instructions - which one to follow?

Hi,
I just got my Ouya (supposedly the retail version). I installed XBMC using these instructions from XMBChub.
http://www.xbmchub.com/blog/2013/06/02/how-to-install-xbmc-to-the-ouya-gaming-console/
But the video is still sometimes skippy...like maybe there's no hardware acceleration. I kept hearing a few weeks ago about the "stagefright" version of XBMC, but that's not what XBMChub said to do...
Should I uninstall XBMC and look for some other instructions?
Edit: after playing a movie for an hour with lots of weird video skipping, the Ouya is really hot! I think it wasn't on hardware acc.

Hello,
I followed this install video/guide about 2 weeks ago and don't have any skipping etc... I play 1080p movies over my 1Gb network with absolutely no issues. Works very well.

Hope that helps!

I've had some skipping but only while streaming and the menu being open at the same time. Looking at the link you provided, the only thing I can think of is maybe the addon they had you install is causing it, but I have no way of confirming without doing it myself.
When I installed it, I just sideloaded it (part 1 steps 1-25) and didn't do anything special with plugins, not sure if that matters though.

I actually didn't do the plugin part at first. Once I installed it, I played a movie right away. Saw the skipping, so I thought maybe the plugin would fix it, so that's when I did part 2 (plugin installation). But that didn't fix it.
I can't figure out how to uninstall XBMC.

Just curious, could it be hardware related? Under advance settings/system/about console, my "build number" is JZ054L-Ouya.
You need to look up the xbmc libstage alpha 4, it has hardware acceleration enabled, without it the ouya can't use it's hardware to render 720p/1080p video, it lags otherwise.

It's weird that XBMChub would have the post the wrong isntallation link if we're suppose to use some other XBMC. Is the "stagefright" version of XBMC not the latest working one anymore then?

Its still in beta, they haven't officially released the H/W Acceleration version yet
After the last ouya update alpha 4 is working quite nice, playback is smooth before the update I was getting stuttering. Now if they could just fix the addons.

is this why i can't install milkdrop? I try selecting install add-on from zip and it says invalid file structure
this is the whole reason i wanted xbmc...was for those mind blowing endless list of visuals. has anyone been able to get it to work? the default player doesn't come with these installed does it?
Hope they implement better Ouya controller support too
Ok, I installed the stagefright alpha 4 version. I used this link:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=152005
Still get lots of stuttering on 1080P H.264 encoded movies. I also can't pulled the progress bar to go to spots in the movie. 720P movies seem to work.
Can you fast forward on the progress bar when playing movies?
Thank you.Yea this version works well
BTW whats the button to bring up the download vid option?

I have the SF version, but get nothing but black screen with audio watching vc-1 bluray. H.264 works ok.

Which version worked for you? Are you doing anything not in the instructions?
I'm still getting stutters with 1080P. I'm doing this over wireless, but the router is in the same room as me. I'm getting 1.5MB/s according to the real time bandwidth monitor on my Tomato router. I'll try again with a long Ethernet cable, but the stuttering doesn't seem like it's a bandwidth issue. Seems like video decoding.
It's H264 at 1080P in MKV. I'm not transcoding or anything.
Would like more help with XBMC, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think I'm following directions right. Just to recap, the two methods I used:
http://www.xbmchub.com/blog/2013/06/02/how-to-install-xbmc-to-the-ouya-gaming-console/
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=152005
Neither worked great for me. And the second one I try, even when 720P video plays smoothly, I can't set the progress bar to specific spots in the movie.
So after coming across conflicting information about XBMC on Ouya, I finally decided to just download the latest build (Frodo) straight from xbmc.org/download.
I've had no issues at all. I thought I would have to hook up through ethernet cable, since xbmc is choppy on Wifi on my GS4, as well as my 7 inch tab (which also has a tegra 3). But on wifi the Ouya runs XBMC perfectly.

Has anybody tried internet streaming? I've been trying with the 1channel add-on with poor results. It will start the streams just fine but the picture will be very unsmooth (doesn't actually freeze or pause, just kind of skips frames and has weird lines/artifacts every few seconds and whatnot). I'm running gotham SF alpha4 and my Ouya is connected via Ethernet with more than adequate downstream bandwidth. It seems like everyone else is getting good performance with that build but I haven't actually seen anybody confirm it works well while internet streaming.
I used the xbmc hub instructions.
All works fine, I can stream from my raspbmc to the ouya seamlessly.
It's faster and snappier than my 1st gen rpi (256mb) running xbmc

[Q] streaming on browser?

Hi, I am really excited about Ouya, not much about its games ability, but more as a streaming device, working with XBMC, however, I do often watch soccer games on the internet and my girlfriend watches her favorite Brazilians shows steamed by a website, I know, quality not superb, but still, I can watch the game and it's all that matters
Anyway, I was wondering if flash streaming would work without any lags on Ouya
Sorry, I'm tired and my English really sucks today, hope you'll understand
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
I'm sure there is a way
I know i tried flat out just installing flash and it seem like it didn't work for me. You might want to look into custom roms once it becomes a lot more safe.
I have not done this, but have heard plenty of people streaming via flash. I think you just need to sideload the app and then sideload a browser that uses flash and has the option to display as desktop (such as Dolphin). i don't think you can with the built in browser, but I could be wrong.
Flash works in the stock browser just fine. Don't know about live streams but flash in general works. Just put the official flash player app on your ouya. I recommend the version number 11.1.115.20 because that was the one with fewer bugs for android devices in general.

6th Gen Console Emulation on Nexus Player?

So Dolphin Team has released Dolphin Emulator Alpha on Google Play:
And there is a Dreamcast Emulator on the Play Store called Reicast:
(XDA wont let me post the links because i'm new. Sorry)
Obviously these emulators run like garbage because it's running on mobile phones. But, the Nexus Player has a pretty decent Intel Processor if i'm not mistaken. I know the software side of things also plays a role in the poor performance, but it's at least worth a shot right?
I'm buying a Nexus Player in the near future, and i'm trying out this idea I have (which i'll show soon), and I was wondering if anyone with a Nexus Player could download those emulators (whether officially or sideloaded) and tell me how it runs. I have some follow-up questions, but those questions won't matter if the Player can't run the emulator, so I want to see before I ask. Thank you
I can confirm that the reicast emulator (latest build) is working well on the nexus player. most games i tried run with fullspeed just tony hawks didnt run really smooth. some minor display errors but very playable.
The only Android device that will properly run the Dolphin emulator at full speed (read: Wii, not GameCube) is the Tegra X1 Shield TV.
the processor of the nexus player is not supported by the dolphin app. it won't even install.
NP
thanks for all the answers guys. Both emulators support 4 player multiplayer, so I feel like there’s a lot of potential here. It's a shame about Dolphin, and I already contacted the devs about it, but the fact that Reicast works is great! I'll reply if Dolphin team ever replies

No, I'm running cm 12.1. Make sure you are using one of the "unsupported builds" from the download page and not the r6 release which is pretty old with no support for the nexus player cpu.

How are you guys getting Reicast to work. I can't even get to a point to launch the bios file. It keeps crashing or won't let me launch.
I figured it out and it works! So what I had to do since I don't have a USB hub, I copied the game file and BIOS to my NP and then used a wired mouse to set the directory and click over to the main area. I couldn't do that without a mouse.
running my games off of a 32 gb micro usb and so far they are playable, going to try an otg adapter and a better usb drive over the holidays and see if it gets rid of some stutter.
