I looked all over my Pro and the manual, but cannot find a way to turn of the sound of the number keys. Every time I start typing a phone number the sounds ring out and I want to turn them off. Can someone help me?
Ok, sorted it out with help from Treo Central. For those who want to silence the sounds as well:
I renamed the registry keys HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dtmf1 trhough Dtmf# to get rid of those annoying LOUD sounds.
To set the keypad to vibrate: Rename Sound to Sound1 and add a new String value with "*vibrate*".
thanks to frause from TreoCentral.
Turning key sounds
To turn Off your DTMF on your Treo PRO
I edit the registry
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Keypress
Find Script Beep mode, change 2 to 0.
Soft reset.
It works for me.
hello i am a little new to all of this. i was wondering if you could tell me which program you use to edit the registry and give me some pointers on how to complete the modification you mentioned above. the key beep annoys me way to much. thanks for your help in advance.
Use a program like total commander or PHM Registry Editor.
Go to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Keypress]
And change BeepMode to:
"BeepMode"=dword:00000000
Probably a silly question...but if I turn off the key sounds or turn them to vibrate - will it still send the tones when I press the button?
Yes it will! No problem what so ever
I found this on the hermes forum. I have a few questions related to the registry entry to be made to change the vibration sequence.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-278171.html
Now it was mentioned that the script for vibrate and ring is by default
in the entry HKCU\Control Panel\Sounds\RingTone0
script = av0pw3r
i tried changing it to av1w1v1w1pw0r
Now what happens is, the ring starts without any delay, but then the vibration sequence starts, finishes then the ringtone starts... How do i change the script such that both the vibration sequence and the ringtone happen at the same time?
search for vibro tweak in the forum possibly it'll help you
Install HDtweak 0.5.4
Launch it. Go to Phone -> ringtype and set it to "vibration and ring"
I use french HDtweak so I don't know the right english name...
I checked the registry tweak that this program makes too.
it is v1w1v1w1v1w1pw0r
This is, it will vibrate thrice, then play the music... doesn't serve my purpose, sorry.
I tried to search the forum but have only found "static settings" for incall volume such files to be overwrittein in \Windows directory or some registry tweak.
The question is simple: how can i change the volume of the voice of the people talking to me while a phone call is in progress?
(up down with the buttons on the left of the phone doesn'work, neither increase nor decrease, only taskbar icons flash a bit)
I needed that too, but I thought I didn't explore the phone enough.
Good to know.
Anybody?
hay gays!nowdays i try to exchange power up and shutdown animation
there are two part on powerup animation which controled by bootani.qmg and sumsangani.qmg
i replace the bootani.qmg ,and it work well .but sumsangani.qmg goes bad.
another, when i turn off my phone there are no sound. thx for you help!
The sound to play on poweroff shoul be on System/Media/audio/ui and its name must be "Poweroff.wav". If it does not exist in your case you can copy any .wav you like there and rename it.
It would be good to find a way to substitute sumsangani.qmg with an animation that works. You probably have noticed that it is not enough to put any other .qmg file and rename it, since when it runs you will see just an small part of the screen active (the one that takes the 'samsung' word used on sumsangani.qmg). I guess that means that there are some configuration written in another file.
Hello, i'd like to know if there are some registry tweaks to change the built-in image viewer, in order to make it open the images directly in landscape mode, and, more important, that they fit the screen width with their width.
At least, if someone could tell me where to find the registry keys I am searching, I would save myself some time...
Thanks in advance for your help!
