Does this sound fishy or does anyone know any truth to this?
Thought I would check eBay for some unlimited data plans and I found some.
I eBay searched "Verizon unlimited data"
A couple sellers are selling current contracts and claiming that they will somehow put them in your name. Is this possible? Maybe they work in tech support?
One other seller is claiming that their company is the only one in the US that can add a "VIP data plan" to new or existing customers.
Any knowledge or feedback is appreciated. Check out the auctions and see what u think. FYI I am a new VZ customer still in the cancellation period.

It is possible to transfer a name to another person's account. Its called an AOL (Assumption of Liability). However, ever if the person's account you are transferring to is in good standing, I'm pretty sure you'll still need to pass a credit check to be eligible to take it over.
AOLs are pretty popular due to some people wanting to get out of their wireless contract without paying the ETF by giving it to someone else. And others will be happy to take them over due to having grandfathered features no longer offered to brand new accounts such as unlimited data with Verizon Wireless.
Thanks Nerdydesi. Ant thoughts on the second option?

If they haven't already done so, it will definitely get reverted.
How to get Verizon Unlimited Data without going through loop holes
There's a better route!
Email this guy verizon.unlimited.data @ gmail.com
ask him about a VIP Pass which will get you unlimited data
He's hooked up several people on XDA with Unlimited Data and he's legit!
Thinking about getting one
BigMiggen did you buy it yet? I also contacted this guy on Ebay about the unlimited data plan, no answer as of yet.
No not yet. I got the double data at 4 gigs and want to see how much I'm actually gonna use first. Watching Netflix looks like the only way to go over for me. I might email that guy and see how much he wants.

Anyone try this? I'm grandfathered on two lines but might come in handy to add a 3rd. Now if he could hook me up on an unlimited data only plan for a xyboard 8.2 I would have his babies lol.

Just sent an e-mail his way, keeping my fingers crossed. 4G LTE does not deserve to be limited!!! Coming from ATT unlimited, I'm starting to miss it. As much trouble as they gave me.
By the way, went into a Verizon Wireless store today and attempted to get the rumored unlimited tether plan (even though I'm not grandfathered) from a rep who said it would work - they attempted to add said plan and continued to receive an error. After calling into Verizon Customer Care, the rep on the line confirmed it's been disabled. So even if you are able to fool some rep, if they attempt to put it in, their system will throw an error.
I emailed him 10 days ago. No reply.

Okay I found out how to get the unlimeted everything for $99 a month. I will make a new post on how to do this once I get my first bill. It works for new and existing customers. Existing customers can early upgrade without penalty as well.
The company has a business plan they put you on and bill you directly. I will update and put a link to the new post once I get my first bill from them to make sure it's legit. Although I am typing this on my new s3 they sent me for $150.

Verizon are expensive, doubt they'll let something like that fly.
I will be in the US in jan for about 10 weeks, rather than roaming with my UK sim I want to get a pay as you go plan that I can top up but also have data and international talk and text if possible.
I have looked at SIMple and it looks OK, any other recommendations that won't break the bank?
I will be in Syracuse, NY

T-Mobile has a $30 prepaid plan that 100 min, unlimited data, and unlimited texting. You could use Google voice or another voip client to make calls.
To add, I also need to be able to pay for it with cash prefarably

To add to that, it's super easy to refill your account.
All you have to do is walk into any grocery/convenience store and buy yourself a T-Mobile refill card (I usually buy the $30 ones, but that's just me)
Then you can use the code on the card to add money to your prepaid account.
Sweet that's the sort of thing I need

To anyone that has a nexus 4 from T-mobile. Is there any difference in there phones? OS, add in's, junk? Quote
"The T-Mobile version costs less -- $199 for the 16-GB version -- but it requires a two-year contract with T-Mobile. It also has some applications and services from T-Mobile that aren't part of the stock Jelly Bean experience offered by the Google version. Other features, such as the 4.8-inch HD display, 8-megapixel camera and NFC, are all the same".

This.
On contract costs more. You're paying more for it within your monthly fees.
As mentioned in the other threads here asking the same question; they are the exact same phone.

How is it more? I have a family with 5 lines, one of them had an upgrade, I took it.. Cost me total of 257.63 out the door. NOW the Value plan, you have to put down 200 with the $15 monthly charges for 20months. So it depends on what he has and not all contract will cost more.

Well let's just say after being with Tmobile for more than 10 years and being time for an upgrade. My nexus 4 was dirt cheap!!
I can't ever put how much I paid for it may start a riot! People hunting me down. Dogs chancing me! Oh the pain.
I have a question for you, guys...
A carrier in my country is offering a data plan only...
3GB of HSPA+ (unlimited... they slow down your speed if you exceed the bandwidth).
$12 per month (regular price is $30).
2 year contract.
Now... the only thing is that you can't make phone calls (you can receive, though).
So... would you guys survive with a data plan only?
Use Skype or Google voice for your calling and you should be good

Yeah... that's what I'm planning to do. No Google Voice in my country (Mexico) but I can use Skype.
We have relatives in both Mexico and USA, so we might get the Worldwide subscription from Skype, which includes unlimited minutes to both Mexico and USA (landlines and cell phones).
If I get the subscription... can me and my wife use it in each of our phones to only pay one subscription?
It's a great plan for those who are deaf and cannot make phone calls, it's just wasted unused minutes otherwise that you have to pay for. Wish there were plans like that in the UK (has to include unlimited SMS too!).

Nextel Evolution just released a plan for $150 pesos (precio por promocion hasta Marzo 31, 2013). Read my thread I did yesterday! Let me find the link.

I would be all over that! Currently, I'm on the tmo 30 buck plan and I rarely go over my 100 minutes.

So... do you think it is a good price? I don't want to regret it... specially because it's a 2 year contract.
Sounds like a good plan too me...there are several VoIP solutions that you could use for phone calls...and plenty of free text message apps to take care that part so a data package is totally double...I lost my phone for a week(not my nexus 4) and just used my nexus 7 as a phone while around a WiFi connection until I got my phone back

I am currently on the Walmart/T-Mobile $30 5gb 4G 100min plan. For me it's not enough minutes (which isn't the issue here) but its also not enough data if using it for calls as well as periodic internet access. I guess it really depends on how much you can limit yourself. That's just my opinion and how it affects me personally. But you have to consider how much access there is in your country and the costs/ limited options.

Subjective, like beauty its all in the eyes of the beholder. It'll definitely take care of my needs at half the price I currently pay lol. If your like me, a person who hates talking on the phone then have faith and take that leap....I would.

I just found out that Walmart offers "internet on the go". Up to 8gb for 30 days for $45. Only draw back IMHO is it's on Sprint..
What do you use for texts? I've read that Google Voice text does not work on some Mexican carriers.
I want to go on to do the $30 a month t-mobile plan but I forgot the site to get the refills for cheaper. Any help?

Prepaid-refill.com and callingmart. I don't trust the first one based on reviews and other forums I've read on Google. There's people here who use it and no problems.
I've been using callingmart for over a year and I love em. They used to have discounts but tmobile put a stop to that a couple of months back. Great customer service as well as previously stated at least you don't pay taxes and you don't have to pay a fee to tmobile either. Hope this helps
