Its seems that the vibrate function has stopped working on my XDA Mini s on Vodaphone.
Switched on, but only rings, or, if on vibrate only..... I miss the call.
Likely to be a software or hardware fault? Pls help!
Please can someone help?
Check the notification settings under 'Sounds and Notifications'. Seems like you've probably only got Vibrate set to happen on a missed call...
Thanks Webreaper, but I don't. I've tried soft reset but nothing. It did work when I bought the PDA a month ago, as it used to vibrate when turning the sound off via the comms manager button.
Anyone else? I'll have to go back to O2.
mine is doing the same thing. Can't get vibrate to work at all
Mine is a few months old.
Any luck getting it working yet???
No None. After doing a few soft resets, I did manage to get one vibrate whilst playing with the notification settings, but nothing since then.
I've just tried a hard reset too and still no worky!
Looks like I'm gonna phone o2
So I've gotta take it to the local o2 shop so they can send it away to be fixed... max turn around 4 weeks... but usually 10 days apparently.
urgh... at least they'll give me a replacement in the meantime.

Hi,
I've set my device to receive delivery notifications, but everytime one is received my device wakes up (the screen turns itself on)
I find this really annoying, because now I'm forced to set the device to automatically turn the screen of when not used for a couple of minutes, otherwise if I don't hear the delivery report comming in, my screen stays on and the battery drains..
I've searched the whole internet, every option on my device and the registry but couldn't find any solution.
Is there one that anybody knows of? Or is this just one of those things I have to learn to live with ?
Thanks in avance !
PS: I'm new to this site, and I'm loving it Great work everyone!

The same thing has happened to me with email notification. On just a few occasions the vibrating has not stopped until I pressed the end call button to make it stop. I think this has happened three times in what is now almost three weeks.
patheltic bug. feeling like my leo is going to spoile anytime.
Mine also does this and so does my mates. I've not tried a cooked ROM as yet because I've only owned the handset for a week and in case I brick it I at least want to have owned it for a month haha
Any further news on this bug? The only way I can find to stop it from vibrating is to press volumn down until the phone switches to vibrate mode then turn the sound back on. Bit of a pain!
im having this problem too...its suddenly vibrate for so long until i remove the battery.. happening several times.

Hey guys, let me start off by saying thanks all the people who run and donate their time to this site. I have followed xda for many years now and for all the untyped thank yous I say it now. One issue I have had with the Vibrant is that my Alarm using the default Alarm and Clock app is not working properly. I will set it to a certain time but when the time comes the screen lights up but thats it...no sound, no vibration, nothing. I thought at first maybe it was because the phone was on silent but I checked my settings and had it checked to where the alarm would still turn on. I then also tried the Alarm without the phone being on silent and it was the same problem. Is there some noob thing I'm missing here? Phone is rooted, fyi. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi-was wandering if anyone can help. I brought a Samsung Galaxy Note a few days ago and was really pleased untill someone tried ringing me. When I tried to answer the call by pressing the Green Accept Call icon and sliding my finger (as per the instructions) I noticed that the screen didn't respond. The same thing happens when the phone is asleep and I press the home key to bring up the unlock screen to use the phone. I would have press the home screen twice before pressing my finger on the screen for the screen to respond.
The strange thing is I can do all the above if I use the stylus.
This leads me to suspect I may have a setting wrong.........can anyone help or has anyone heard of this?
thanks
I do not have a note but there are 2 places in the Galaxy phone where you can set screen sensitivity so I would guess the Note would be similar. One is in the secret code section and to be honest it has been over a year since I played with that, so you will have to look that up. The other was a normal setting menu I think it was in display settings but don't remember now since I have been on a custom rom forever. Google the Galaxy phone touchscreen sensitivity. I do remember this the settings I played with were too sensitive or to hard no in between. Not much help but it is what I recall.
Hi oka1
thanks for the advice. I rang up the retailer and described my issues with the mobile and they told me to send it back for a replacement as it is only 3 days old.
NP not much help I am going to close this thread since this is resolved
