[Q] Omnia 7 bootloader - Omnia 7 General

So i just bought a new omnia(old one got stolen)...and it's updated to the latest os...but i want to dev and interlock unlock it.
The problem i have is....the device has the 4.10.1.9 bootloader(no download mode).
So i ordered the jig usb unlock dongle from ebay(should be here in a few days).
Anyway here's the question.
Does anyone know if any of these roms here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131891
or
http://www.cellphone-tutorial.com/2011/11/samsung-omnia-7-i8700-firmware-download.html
have a bootloader which doesn't disable the download mode.
I'd like to flash it to a newer bootloader and then go step by step up to the latest mango release and keep the device dev unlocked.
But first i want to fix the bootloader.
Thank you!

how to open bootloader?

I bought motorola Atrix week ago and i want install custom rom but my android version is 2.2.2 and
system version 4.4.80.MB860.Partner.en.IL
baseband version N_0.95.00R
kernal version 2.6.32.9-00001-gfdaed51
build number OLYEM_U4_4.8.0
Thank you
Hey, I bought my Atrix some few days back and wanted to unlock (bootloader) it, install CWM and root it. And I did hello lot of searching for that, and found this page and used it to get everything done.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202883
So, I would recommend you the above link -- it's sufficient and has just one file for download with everything in it.
NOTE: I had Android 2.3.4 installed on my Atrix and the above guide applies to Android 2.3.4 running Atrix only. So take due notice of this.
ONE MORE THING: Read this page in full so that you gain knowledge of what you are doing. And I think once the bootloader is unlocked, you cannot re-lock it (anyway, I'm yet to find a link/page which would help me relock it).
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
That's it. Good luck. Enjoy!
There is no guide for my version?
cuz I afraid to get a hard brick with another version guide
yes I know what it is bootloader root and etc
I had htc legend before
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
I tried all those guides and no one helped me to open my bootloader
any suggestions?

Hi,
Thanks for the video!
One question:
I have a branded phone linked to Vodafone and didn`t received the update (probably it will take another two months...)
In these circunstances: Lock bootloader; unrooted and branded is it possiible to update via FTF?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers.
Youre welcome, im not pretty shure but i think that you can, but ask someone better than me, i always ask for things like that

Yes you can... You just need to make sure that flashtools is installed on PC you have correct drivers and that you phone can connect in flash mode .
Even if you had unlocked Boot loader you can still use flashtools.
must make sure you put it into flashtools/firmware folder otherwise it wont show up.

Asus X008DC

Root for this model? I originally asked in the wrong forum. Thanks.
The short answer is NO
There are several root methods out there for a version of the phone with a different chipset (MT6737T SOC) but none that will work X008DC which uses the MT6737M chipset.
I have even offered a $50 bounty several months ago for someone to crack it but so far no takers.
There is some good news, as of the Nougat upgrade, ASUS' official bootloader unlock tool appears to work with this version, so we can remove the bootloader lock. ASUS notes that this will disable updates, and given we still have to wait for a viable recovery and ROM, it would be best to wait for those before using the bootloader unlock tool, but the good news is that it's possible to develop for this version now!

Man, thanks for taking the time to post that. Been on an iPhone for months, just got my old note 5 working again. Once I ruin it, I'll check back on the ASUS.

BLU-VIVO-8 - New Firmware Update: BLU_V0150UU_V7.0.04.02_GENERIC_12-12-2017 03:58

I thought that all would like to know that the new BLU-VIVO-8 has received Yesterday (December 30), a new Firmware update, which updates this phone to the Android Security Patch Level dated: November 5, 2017, and also brings some corrections to the Android Nougat-7 system and Google Play Store update...
As I has noticed that the new Gionee-M7-Power and also other phones, have been launched with the latest Android Nougat v7.1.1 and AMIGO 5.0, that it is the same AMIGO-UI system that the New BLU-VIVO-8 uses...
At first I thought that maybe BLU would surprise all of us with this Android Nougat v7.1.1 + AMIGO-UI 5.0 System, or perhaps with the newer Android-Oreo-8, but unfortunately they were neither, because although this update file has more than 650 MB, it was only for minor corrections and for updating the Android Security Patch to a more recent one.
We need more split ups in various BLU Models. Because this is the forum for the R1 HD.
We need some custom rom for this device
Can any one help?
Has anyone unlocked this bootloader? "Fastboot oem unlock" didn't work for me.

Don't have that phone, but believe I saw others confirm it on a different thread. Don't remember where.
So that leaves questions on your setup.
Does "fastboot devices" confirm you are connected and have drivers installed.
Did you enable oem unlock in developer options?

Yes to both of those. I have multiple installs of adb and drivers, etc. So maybe there is a clash somewhere. I know that the Gionee A1 is supposed to be a clone of this phone and those steps should work. I think i am going to try XN Rootkit if trying again on a new fresh pc doesnt work. I would love to hear confirmation from an owner of this phone if there are any around on the steps neccessary to unlock the bootloader.

Is it possible to downgrade from A12 to A10/11? (exynos)

Hello there!
I recently got a hand me down S10+ (exynos) from a relative and I want to flash LineageOS on it.
One small problem, its got the latest A12 version (March 1st 2022 security patch).
I have already picked out an A11 version with a matching bootloader binary (G975FXXSEFUL1) and installed Odin onto my computer (usb debugging is also enabled).
Links to guides and other forum posts are appreciated.
(I apologize if this has been asked before, I haven't found out how to search specific sup-sections of this forum (if even possible).)

If the bootloader is unlocked, it should be fairly trivial to flash an older ROM using Odin.

Use the Search function. Google is also your friend. I haven't been in the Samsung game for quite some time.
Be aware that unlocking the bootloader is often impossible on Exynos devices.

So I followed a guide and it told me to enable the OEM unlock function in the dev settings.
so is it unlocked now?
or does that just allow me to unlock it?
(apologies if I sound like a complete novice)

when flashing with odin do I need userdata?
Ive done some digging and apparently userdata is used for phone carriers to brand the phones they give out?
Ok it was pretty simple, userdata isnt needed.
