That would be great!
Wonder if the US versions will get overlooked
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I wonder if the US is going to the update by carrier or all carrier at the same time.this why sometimes I wish android updated like apple does all at the same time

Then I go and buy the Nexus expecting timely updates and lo and behold...Samsung does the updates on the Nexus in Canada, not Google. You know what that means...SLOW updates!! ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I expect the same from my S3
Not having an easy way to adjust the brightness has got to be the biggest oversights on this device. There isn't even a power control widget, I thought that was a 'standard' feature.

So I just got back from best buy and I noticed that their nexus s 4g display model had a more silverish, dark grey battery cover. Has anyone else seen this? I know mine is black but I thought it looked pretty cool.

Interesting. But why would Google change the design and not have this all over the news.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I have no idea. Ill take a picture next time. Maybe tomorrow? But it def. was different.
More silverish and seemed to have a little more texture.

Was it a real working model or one of those fake shells?

It was not a live unit.

J noticed that too its how the dummy units look

Not all of them do. Reason I asked was just to see if anyone has one. Looked pretty sweet and was wandering if that was the only change.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA Premium App
Maybe the change in color/texture was from people touching it a lot and people's oils and dirt rubbed off the top layer?
Def. not. Ill try to take a picture tomorrow. It is a completely different back cover.
Pretty much the reason I am bringing this up is, because I'm curious to know if maybe this is a newer device/ model. Maybe fixing signal issues? Who knows. It could just be nothing but def. Interesting

End of August or early September

No known release date, but everyone is saying aug/sept. At that point it might even be worth waiting to see what ICS phones are coming out.
Hey, it's not a Nexus 7...but not bad for free!
Buy a Sprint Phone get a ZTE Optik Tablet for FREE
Not a bad tablet for free, although I imagine they will make you get a data contract for it. It has the same display the Nexus 7 has, a 1280x800 at 7". Only downside is its running HC which is still much better than GB on a tablet. Although XDA has a fix for that as there appears to be unofficial CM9/CM10 builds out there:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629630
It leoks nice I checked instorw
I believe theres a data plan contract tied to it,some sites are confirming this

I work for sprint, contract required for the tablet is confirmed.
So not free...man

It should be green. Then the next should match the color of the dessert. So if its licorish it should be red and black

That's what I thought too. That ics was a convergence so that there would no longer be separate versions of android for tablets and phones.
Now I'm just plain confused. I thought ICS runs on phones only and honeycomb was still the standard tablet software. So maybe KLP will run on both phones and tablets?

IIRC, Gingerbread was for phones, Honeycomb for tablets, ICS for both.

ICS was a merging of phone and tablet Android into a "unified" platform.
JB was an inclusion of features which were "not yet" ready for ICS, which means that they probably were ready but just didn't make the cut in Google's case since they tend to be on the next thing by the time they show you what they do have.
Whatever the next iteration of Android is going to be, it's going to carry that same unity across both platforms the same way, as it's not likely Google would throw that away after they managed to achieve that.
Does anyone know if the 4.2.2 update removes access to manual selection of lte? I haven't seen anything about this either way.

I doubt we will know until someone gets the update and tries it.

I saw that some of the android news sites were reporting the N4 was getting the update, and they now show as being all the Nexi (plural nexus?) except the 4 are starting to see the update.
