[ROM][Team Cooper] MIUI GB base cm7[update 25-3-12]

IF you are satisfied with MIUI4 then no need to see this thread as MIUI4 is Pure MIUI port means original miui
you can apply all miui themes
but not apply lock theme as it needed to convert in mdpi
if want to use hdpi lock themes then install latest Milocker from market and apply theme by this app
incase you can not unlock phone after applying lock theme push back+volume up button to unlock

I not used cm7 after axel2033 's rom
so its based on his rom which i used for infinityV2
if there is any improved cm7 will use as base
languages are only english and chinese
but for adding your region language just grab translated xmls of framework and apps from MIUI fan site translated rom and add in roms apps and framework

CM7.2 by FATkang is much more stable than Axel2033's CM7.

may be visually but in my opinion official lewa devs are optimizing stuffs from sources for SGA so it might outperform miui after some releases..
if we had miui from very sources then it might not be the case and miui GB may not get updated further as they will move on to ICS

Tutorial or Guide to port SII rom into SIIG - Help

Hi XDians,
If any senoir member can write a step by step guide to convert (PORT) Galaxy SII rom to SII G version then it will be helpfull tohave a lot of different ROM's for the G version.
Please try to make it. We need futher more rom in G as it is picking up in mass and active members....

I would love that too but open in Q & A because all the members now wont answer and tell u wrong section

More and more roms is not a good idea... i like having each rom of different type.. like aokp, miui and now codename android... more roms ll not benefit...
Anyway there are no. Of porting guides which you can follow on xda already....
Please search a bit...
For eg. To port aosp rom cm is taken as base and app, font, framework, media folders are replaced by the rom to be ported.... and then in lib folder android_runtime.so is replaced and at last build.prop is edited... and if u r lucky then it ll boot
Other way is to compile from source Nd fuss is already in the process of completing the guide when he is free.... look up first before posting...
Creating a thread for a request should be the last idea and that also in Q/A section

By being lucky i mean that all ROMS cannot be ported for any phone. One has to choose the phone (which is as close in terms of software and hardware) from which you want to port to your phone.
The method of replacing folders that i wrote is kinda for NOOBS, but heck who cares if it works i had tried to port slim jb(i9000), remics jb (i9000)and super nexus(i9100) and succeeded with nexus and remics jb.... the slim jb didnt boot unfortunately.
Whereas the method to compile from source is a better and an elegant way of doing this, and it requires some knowledge of git, linux
Fuss is busy in making a dualboot kernel for us but he confirmed completeing the thread that explains compiling aosp roms from source

Keep on working on it, guys! It's a great thing to have all S2's roms mirrored on an unique page! Sometimes sites they're uploaded to doesn't allow more than a determined daily ratio, need regs, etc...
For the roms mirrored you may also create a link that takes you to the original discussion about the rom,. so we double help the developer and the users!
You just need some pub! :highfive:

i'm sorry but i can't add omega as indie says on the first post that doesn't want mirror links.you can acces it from the goo manager app by pressing browse all files,devs,pan24.i won't add the values to the build.prop for auto updating the roms as some of them already have the required values for auto updating from the dev's account,others have their own ota app and other devs won't allow me to do so.

From now on i will also upload stock odexed/deodexed roms from wanamlite

[HELP] Z00ED/ZE500KL CyanogenMod 12.1 ?

Hello XDA,
as you know we got bootloader unlocked and that means we can finnaly flash system files without worries about bricking the phone.
I'm a not an expert nor a developer, but building CM from source looks easy (not really needs much skill), shown in this videos I found on youtube /watch?v=qW6Lz5vogqc (part 1), /watch?v=qsZU3DuBPw4 (part 2), /watch?v=YfFefW5rK1w (part 3).
I want to do this becouse developers aren't intrested in doing this for z00e. So using this I could build the Unofficial rom, but before I start doing this I ask for some info and advices, also I'll need a device maintainer...
So my phone arrives in a day, exactly 24. june.
But don't expect the zip file soon since I have a low-end laptop, so that's going to slow the process a bit..
Can you give me some advice?

Okay, got my phone today, unlocked bootloader, rooted and played around him a bit, mostly watching and modifying applications with lucky patcher, installed xposed, etc...
Before that I did some search and found gits for vendor, device tree and kernel needed to compile unofficial CM 13, yes 13!
I will start the actual work in 2/3 hours.

No, no need, you got your kernel involved in the making of the rom, you'll see, you'll need kernel source, device three and vendor. You can find that on github... Go step by step on this, and you'll get the point.

Yes you are going to add them to the terminal after getting sources, but you have to make a local_manifest.xml file and place link to their repo on github.
