Ok folks, after much deliberation and convincing I decided to release this ROM.
Features (The usual stuff)
KK4 Gingerbread
Corn 7.06 Kernel
Kinda ICS themed see screenies and new features

15 Lockscreens with music controls
15 Toggle mod with screen on option
Hide clock and hide AM/PM
Modded logs provider(MMS does not show in call log)

Now the new features
SGSIII boot sound, ringtones, and notification tones.
Change Clock color, Date Color and Quick panel toggle colors in settings menu. No need to flash a theme to do this all you need to do is make the changes in settings and reboot!!!
Four colors to choose from, Blue (default) Red, Green and white.
Swype is not included on the ROM itself but if you look on your SD card for the MPD extras folder the latest beta is in there as well as a copy of tibu and drop box, just click on the apk to install.

There was a Fusion CM9 build a while back. But unless a cause or cure for the EU bug comes up it is unlikely.
However I did see the nexus got jelly bean so you never know what might pop up.

Why did it take convincing to post this?
I'm not able to do an exhaustive search because I don't have my laptop with me. If coming from an ICS AOKP ROM, do I have to take special steps, or can I wipe and flash from recovery? My kernel is clockwork based, but I'm not sure if I need to change bootloaders.
Thank you for your work! I basically went straight from froyo into ICS, so I'm curious to see what the GB hype is all about. It seems that there are diehard GB users out there.

the reason it took some convincing for me to do this is I am actually a themer for The Collective not a dev. The extremely talented dev I theme for crt60 has been trying to get me to do a ROM for a while now and MPD ROM is the result.
So if your coming from an ICS based ROM you will have to use Odin to reformat the partitions on your sd card ICS uses a diffrent partition table. I highly recommend the KK4 with repartition by 4-2ndtwin found here then flash the CWM kernel (link in op). You will need to be on I897 GB bootloaders I am not real sure what bootloaders the ICS ROMs use but you can chek your current ROM's thread to find out. If you end up needing them the one clicks linked above has a version with and without bootloaders.
there are a few reasons for the die hard GB fans, there has been a lot of development on GB and some of the features haven't quite made it to ICS yet. There is also the EU bug that has some users afraid of rendering thier device useless from running an ICS ROM. Lastly and I'm prolly gonna open a can of worms on this one but battery life (from what I hear) is better on GB.

Can mods and themes from Legend 4 be used on this rom ?
Edit: I don't think so. I tried the circle battery and on reboot it never got past the boot animation

Installation Guide:
- Download The Rom Choose your Tablet version P7310= Wifi version P7300= 3G Version
- Copy the Rom to you Tablet
- Download Gapps copy Gapps also to your Tablet!
- Go into CWM
- In CWM go to install zip from sd card--->choose zip from sd card
- Search for Jelly Bean Taste
- Click on it and click on Yes
- let the install begin!
- after install is complete Install Gapps
- wipe your data,cache,dalvik cache
- Reboot Enjoy Jelly Bean Taste

So basically it's a Jelly Bean-themed ICS? No JB code (4.1.1) in it?

So the title is rather misleading (again) imho. I think this "Rom" might indeed be classified as BS, but those letters don't stand for the Buttery Smooth as used above but for something else :angel:

True, am also using them on my SGS2, HTC Flyer and Galaxy Tab 8.9 as we speak

Tried the rom the transitions are cool from is smooth. Is there a way to get dsp manager and vodoo sound working on this rom.I know cm 9 has support and pershoots kernel from the p4wifi also. Think you can give it a shot?

That would be awesome. I do not know why any audio effects besides music FX will work on aokp roms. I tryed volume plus paid doesn't work same with dsp manager. I added the libs from cm9 for dsp manager and even flashed the boot image from cm9, vodoo worked but broke wifi.i love cm9 but aokp gives great functionality to the 8.9. Getting pershoots kernel to the 8.9 would be a major upgrade for our tabs.if you need my help testing let me know I'm not a stranger to Odin.

Installation Instructions
Pre-Installation Instructions
One must be using CWM recovery 5504 or higher
One must have a 250m or higher System partition
One must know how to back that A$$ up before Installation
One MUST follow the OP Instructions (If you don't I will snap at YOU)
1st. Download Update on Tablets External Storage or PC.(Match MD5 SUM)
2nd. Back that A$$ up using the method you know best.
3rd. Boot into recovery
4th. Re-Partition internal Storage 4096/0 (If Already done SKIP)
5th. Wipe Data Factory reset and format System
6th. Transfer Update to Tablet using the (mount USB) option in CWM
7th. Install Update
8th. Reboot System after installation is complete.
This Update might take a while to boot during the Splash Screen on first boot. Once the boot animation starts just sit
back and wait for the setup screen.
Recommended Settings
1.Once set up go into Development Settings and set Background Process limit to none.
(This is the best setting for Standing Memory.) If you reboot you will have to redo this setting.
2.Under Location access turn off GPS Satellites settings (Unless you have a GPS MOD)
3.Set Display Sleep settings to 30 min (SOD proof it) also Font size set to Large (For those seeing impaired)

Just as I posted "For A Change". This is AOKP and Smoother is AOSP. AOKP has more higher level skill options to customize you device to your liking. Redeyedjedi offers a stock look where I offer a leaner yet themed OS.

I think it's better to use Team Canjica for cm10 builds as it's a work of many, not just two person. And it's their official team name. :good:

nope you can't flash it over make a nandroid first then clear data, cache and dalvik thn flash

which dpi is the default rom?

I think it can be distributed as an add-on to Cyanilla or even to the original CM10, because there isn't any heavy modding, just different system sounds and a few apps.

You can make it work with any 3rd-party camera app that uses software encoders/decoders to capture video. You can also use it on cm10.1 as it has the same bugs with OMX now. Ofc, videos taken that way will be worse than videos taken on stock jb.

If you're talking about those ****ty 3rd party cam apps, then no thanx, I've tried them and the videos look horrible....

i'm not some dev who likes to take sh** from people i work for you all and love to bring some changes into the system so people can have a rom which is different from the other... it's a touchwiz type themed rom which will progress further on like i did with Pure Vanilla and Cyanilla.... if you don't want fine then... Development Further Finished Until Further Notice!***
This Thread has already got too many roms now that why people are like ooh another rom pfft... im staying on this this rom.... learn to enjoy and acknowledge other roms too... and DO remember whenever i give you all people a Rom it's always stable and not a ported version or something like that....

Calm down please.
Yes, we have TOO MANY roms already. But it's bad only untill CM10.1 isn't fixed. When we'll have a fully bug-free AOSP option, you will be free to port as many roms as you want. But now it's time to focus on making our cm good enough to be used as a daily base. Go on, install the latest nightly and search for issues, report them to devs' github or in dev thread and provide logs. With enough testers and "debugers" we'll have it working properly.

what point dont u get that this is based on 4.1.2 CM which isnt that bad compared to 4.2.2 CM im not an idiot thats why i dint build this Rom on 4.2.2 base.... after seeing how my rom was going on Cyanilla i thought i make another different Rom....
other than the other people on this thread which are bringing roms and porting them to the 4.2.2 base causing so many issues with porting also im providing a bit stable Rom... //// well your wish....

Hi So Here's my review of the rom
Bugs
Camera
Lockscreen never shows up
In the Power menu there is no airplane mode option and others are not visible too
In the notifications bar the switcher does not shows. So we have to slide to see the tiles
We cannot use the home button at all even with the nav bar
Well Anyways good work. If I have spare time I could surely fix the camera and lockscreen bugs

I used the nav bar but the home button didn't worked

I tried to port RootBox rom(based on android 4.2.2) for our ace from Zte crescent from this link
The ROM got flashed but it is stuck at bootanimation.and not booting
Can you help me? please

tried this rom today and have to its good as first attempt
except few bugs that are listed everything is fine
and nova launcher idea is good cos cm9 roms with this one are also light and fast

U can take a logcat for there are many guides on taking a logcat, its very useful
For bootloop probably there are some lib files u did not take from base rom? U can always refer to various guides at xda and combine them like i did, anyway good luck in your rom porting

I don't have laptop access as it is damaged so can't take logcat
and the rom doesn't boot so no app to take logcat as well.
BTW which libs files are you referring to?
The rom stays at bootanimation only
and lib files are to be taken from base ROM or port ROM?

Hey if I'm not wrong isn't this the PAC 4.2.2. I don't think you should port it after all we have a bug free one by OD already
