I created a tool a while back for Galaxy S II owners to backup and restore the '/efs' partition and perform basic NV Repair on their devices.
This proved so popular that I recently updated the application which now includes a feature to automatically detect the mount point of the '/efs' partition. This allows any supported device to be used with EFS Pro and also adds support for future devices.

If you're in nvflash mode, then it means that your bootloader is corrupted. Use the nvflash utility to install a new bootloader to recover from this.
If your bootloader is locked, you're not going to be able to recover.

The same as in Odin but the things are less likely to go wrong because you don't need USB drivers, cables nor windows computers which could freeze in the process

Good tool, but unfornately it isn't possible to root a phone with Mobile odin. Is there any way to root a phone without USB cable ?
Ive used the pro version.. Flash from rooted stock 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 with root.remained and unchanged zero binary counter.. Thanks a lot!!
Thread cleaned of childish banta please respect each other and don't forget perceived text is often very different than spoken....
Not tried it yet as only used odin about 4 times since got phone to get ROOT and to deep clean.
Will have to give a shot as always handy to be able to flash odin too while mobile.

root your phone first using other method which Is using USB..after that, just use mobile Odin pro to flash ROM with root included..
Great app. I flashed WXKK5 on rooted XXKI4 without losing my root. Mobile Odin Pro V 1,25 works like a charm. "Ever root" feature is worth money spent.
I had MIUI installed on my phone, I tried going to a different ROM and I ended up bricking my phone. It was starting to load the new rom then it powered off and then restarted and has not gone past the samsung screen. My phone is able to go into download mode and so I tried reloading software using heimdall and my Mac is not recognizing my phone. I've tried almost every trick I can think of to get it to recognize, no good. Am I SOL? Or does someone know something I don't to get it to work?

Well your not SOL because it gets into download mode, which also means you're not bricked just sponged... I know nothing about heimdall but it seems as though aot of people have problems getting heimdall to recognize their epics... Heimdall for mac seems to be pretty much borked I couldn't get my macbook to recognize the phone either.. either use bootcamp to boot into windows on your mac and odin, or DL everything you'll need, odin, tarball, samsung drivers etc to a flash drive and drive over to a friends with a windows machine, it will go really quick if u have everything u need
You can't get into clockword recovery, right?

dont worry u can fix this.as the other guy said your gonna have to put all the files in a flash drive and then take it to a windows computer. form there first install samsung drivers. Once done open odin and connect ur phone. put it in download mode. also i believe your going to have to repartition. but dont worry, odin will do this for you. I can give u links to the stock files if youd like and i will guide you through it. if u want help then just reply to this post
what you did is: MIUI is a MTD ROM therefore your phone was MTD and not BML and you probably tried flashing a BML ROM this caused confusion and just bricked it

- download Abyss Kernel 4.2
- put zip-file on your USB-storage
- boot in Recovery
- Flash Abyss Kernel 4.2!!!
- boot back in Recovery (find it under 'advanced')
- now FullWipe!!!
- Flash ROM
- reboot system
-...you are done
But kabooooommmm nothing got stuck on start up screen
Went to recovery did factory reset still nothing
Than lost recovery mode
Than went to download mode try to re instal with Pc Odin still no go just got stuck loading with Pc Odin
So today, went to the Samsung service centre & boom new board & fresh ics loaded & now happily rooting again lol
But most important never tell the service center u were busy rooting your phone when it got bricked.
Just say "was doing ota update & phone rebooted & got stuck in download mode" that's if u don't have any counter & it still shows official firmware

Download this on your nexus 7:
http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
Download to pc:
http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.1.0-grouper.img
If bootloader is locked then:
Power of nexus 7, hold power and volume down till you see the menu then let go.
In cmd or Linux terminal "fastboot oem unlock"
Confirm on screen. It erases all data.
(Note you can make an adb backup first, can't remember offhand the command, search "adb backup" )
Flash cwm "fastboot flash recovery clockwork-touch-6.0.1.0-grouper.img" now boot into recovery either " adb reboot recovery" or in the fastboot menu.
Then flash Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip in cwm, and you're rooted.
I recommend switching to superSU now from Play.

Hey guys,
I've recently updated to android 4.3
I've installed franco kernel on top of the os and it seems to screw up my phone
the phone restarted and its stuck on the google logo
I've tried to use nexus root toolkit of WUG to install stock + unroot in the soft brick mode
and its still stucked on the google logo
tried factory reset from bootloader and now it tells me I dont have OS hehe
mmm dont know really what to do from here and not sure
I did the above mentioned steps as I should.
I dont have problem to delete everything and to do a factory reset if possible
Also I'd like to have 4.2.2 .. loved it more as I could work with franco kernel
would much appriciate any guidence on to follow up from here
as I am preety lost.
thanks alot mates!

If you want you can sideload a custom rom of your choice or you can just use the Nexus Stock Images which allows you to install 4.2.2 or 4.3.

Since it is just Soft bricked then yes, just boot to recovery with volume up and power, scroll to recovery, select and restore your backup.

There is a way to put it on complete stock but it will literally wipe EVERYTHING, would you like to proceed?

Choose your android version here, choose the Mako/Occam type.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occamjwr66v
From the looks of it there is no Fastboot binary in it so you need to copy them over to that folder making sure your in the bootloader and you have drivers.

And now you will laugh any time you soft brick the phone again because you'll realize how easy it is to fix it. I was in the same boat as you and learning how to use ADB/Fastboot really changed the game for me.

I had this same issue you had, and I noticed it happened because i was flashing franco kernel for 4.2.2 over JB 4.3
Make sure you are downloading the correct version of franco if you still want his kernel.
Something similar Happened to me today.....i flashed the franco kernel via the CWM recovery.....and when i rebooted the screen turened into some blue-pink coloured array....of squares.....and it doenst go over from there??? what should i do now/??
