Yes, on home page. Settings, wireless, mobile networks, then check data roaming, then turn roaming guard off

Im trying to find a free vpn in the market that I can use to block out my data for nobody can see my data whdn I occasionally use my Gs4 as hotspot.

So a open vpn people can see your data usage and on closed vpn people cannot see your data. Is this correct. Thanks

Using DroidVPN, your carrier still knows you're using data, it just doesn't know what you're doing, because you are on a VPN
OpenVPN doesn't mean open for others to see your data, it means that the source code for the OpenVPN program is open source. Your data is encrypted by a secure key and is private. Knowing the algorothm used doesn't matter, an attacker can read all the OpenVPN code but not read your data without your private key which you must keep private. Being open, OpenVPN has been ported to a great number of devices, I run a server on my home router and connect to it from my phone which means security on open WiFi networks and security from the mobile ISP (but NOT from home ISP where the data leaves unencrypted).

Can't send mms when on wifi.

Is there a way to fix this?
I'm not too familiar with this but I think you need to turn on cellular data in order to send MMS.

You need data in order to send MMS.

It's on..
Are you roaming by any chance some networks won't allow you to send MMS unless you choose to data roam. Like T-Mobile for me. I have to click on enable data roam in order to send stuff. If not maybe try to reboot your phone.

I switched to roaming and that seemed to work!
Hey thanks

You might want to be careful and read up on data roaming. You may incur hefty charges on your network if this option is selected.
Easier and safer route would just to ensure you're mobile data (not wifi) is on whenever you send or receive mms.

Fast dormancy

OK, so from what I can tell, my carrier (3 UK) does support fast dormancy, as it switches from 3G, to H and H+ when idle and when in use. So going by that, would you say that wake lock is OK? I haven't changed any fast dormancy settings as I'm not currently rooted, so I'm assuming the default is on? Thanks.
