Looking for a new rom

Hello all. I am new to this again. I am in the US Army and have been gone a while. I have a Sprint touch diamond and upgraded my rom to the 2.0 version. I am realy interested in an even better rom, possibly with the wm 6.5 that I saw on youtube. Can anyone point me to the correct ROM for my sprint phone? And is there a tutorial for this somewhere? The HTC download was pretty easy, are they all like that? Thanks.
Mainly all of the roms here are for gsm... Here's a similar thread, follow it
thank you...

Dude... there are dozens of excellent ROM's in 'DIAMOND ROM DEVELOPMENT'. However, if for whatever reason you're having trouble flashing the ROM, you are not ready for it.
Any wrong move will brick your Diamond. Before starting to flash, read through on the basic (hardspl, mtty etc).
No spoon feeding here...
yes, the ROMs are in the ROM development thread.

Welcome to forums
Your Rhodium seems to be CDMA so your section is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=517
Good luck and donĀ“t forget to vote for Rhodium!!
The idea behind custom ROMs is to replace the sometimes buggy, bloated, inferior ROM that comes with device with different custom ROMs. Custom ROMs are generally faster, more stable, and have more features. Different ROMs can have different tweaks, included software, and features. Each ROM is right for different people, so a ROM you like may not be one that someone else likes. For that reason, it's highly recommended that you simply flash a bunch of different ROMs, and decide which one you like most.
As orb3000 said, your Telus Touch Pro2 is a CDMA model, so you should not flash any ROMs from here. Since XDA-Developers is primarily a GSM forum, most Pro2 CDMA ROMs can be found at PPCGeeks.
Also, be sure of the risks before you flash a ROM. I've flashed well over 100 times on different devices and never have had a problem, but you can brick a device if you don't follow directions. That being said, ROM flashing is pretty safe, if you follow directions and don't take shortcuts. Hope that helps
Thanks for the help

Most applications on this site should work just fine with your CDMA device. The only big thing that will be different between CDMA/GSM hybrids and the GSM only devices is the process of installing a new ROM, but even that is pretty similar.

OMG where do I start?? Blackstone Upg?

My Uncle gave me his old HTC HD (Telstra Branded) running 6.1
I would like to upgrade it to 6.5 but have no Idea where to start or where I can get a cooked rom from .
I found a tute on flashing the 1.56 roms but the more I read the more confused I become. There is soooooo much information on here I am suffering from information overload and I cant seem to find a really basic step by step guide or where to download the cooked roms from all the links I follow are broken.
Its very frustrating for a newbie!!
Can someone please give me a leg up!

Hey Darkfibre,
Welcome to the world of phone flashing! First of all it's very important to know what kind of phone is it, is it GSM or CDMA? After that, you'll have to unlock the phone in order to flash a custom rom. If you've got a GSM device, then XDA is your best friend, if you have a CDMA phone then head over to ppcgeeks.com. Each site will have detailed instructions on how to unlock and flash your phone. Then it's just a matter of trying out a few roms until you find one that suits you. Goodluck and happy flashing!!

No worries, just follow this step by step guide:

It'll answer all questions.
Thanks the heads up guys.
I am just wondering what uncle is going to say when I tell him I turned his HD into a BRICK.
Here goes nothing
One can always use a good door stop! Goodluck!
Hi everyone.
Well I built up the courage and now its 6.5 Energy.Blackstone 21908.Sense2.5 rom.
WOW Wat a buzz when it boots up in the new rom.
Love the new ROMS its made the old HD a new phone. Now its smooth and responsive with great usability.
Just LOOOOVS the sense 2.5 interface.
Cant believe how much I have learnt in the last few weeks
You right Krook this could get adictive!!
I would like to get a pinch zoom working just to rub it in the nose of the apple buds!!
I loaded pinch to zoom but it didnt work. Is there a Rom where it works, or should I stay with opera 10.
I also run the android app on it but its a bit micky at the moment.
This **** is really exciting but HOW do you learn it all!!
I really bow to all you guys U the MEN!!!
Hey Darkfibre,
Pinch to zoom isn't really rom specific. I know I had a bit of trouble getting it going the first time. I believe opera 10 is still not supported but that may have changed. It works for me in Opera 9.7 build 35964. You may need to install a different version of opera to get it running. Still not really worth the effort imho but it's a great start.
Welcome to the community!!

Help with Samsung Omani II I8000L

Anyone know a good tutorial to follow for extract a rom from Samsung Omnia II I8000L ?
i want to do this first and after install other rom, one good tutorial for it is welcome too, and i read that is dangerous install any rom, need to be specific to the I8000L version and not to the I8000, the L is that important? any help will be great!
There are very many threads about samsung devices, rom tutorials etc in MoDaCo forums - http://www.modaco.com/forum/410-i8000-verizon-sch-i920-omnia-ii-httpi8000modacocom/. You can also check out the B7610 forum, which has basically the same hardware, except the hard keyboard. Can't share ROM's tho between them.
