I've been with tmobile for 5 years
i have a plan of 1000 min / with my faves. and unlimited text message
1000 family plan is 54.99 and unlimited txt is 24.99
i pay about 120~130 a month (4lines)
no data plans or what so ever
i was just wondering if there is anyway to get my plans cheaper, or get data plan cheaper.
please dont troll or flame. i will just ignore it.
im on post-paid(whatever that is)
family unlimited everything 2 lines comes to 150,
third line added for 30/40 bucks
i pay about 195 unlimited everything for all 3 phones
been with tmobile a year and 4 months
I i was googling about it and i found out that tmobile offers preffered android plan which is same as unlimited android plan but cheaper . (20dollars)
It says if youve been with tmobile for more than 2 years you qualify for this plan.
The thing is even though i was with tmobile for 5 years i never had data plans. Will i still be eligible for that plan?
Just thought i would ask first before i waste hours on phone calls with tmobile

Somewhat irrelevant but I would not even waste my time calling. I have gotten ten times further on any given subject in a chat session. Just a friendly recommendation from someone who has been with tmobile since they were voicestream.

I second this motion. The chat reps are way more competent and easier to understand than the callcenter guys.
Been with T-Mobile since 2002 (VoiceStream). Currently have the Even More Plus 500 Talk plan, with unlimited data and text. I pay approx. $68/month including taxes, fees, and the $1.99/month warranty.
Since 02 I think. We pay 100 for two lines unlimited text and web with 1500 minutes. 2 out of 5 people in th
E family plan

If you have AAA you can save 14%/month. I pay around 65 a month for 1000 min/data/400 texts (T-Mobile customer since 2004).
Also if you use google voice, you can use that for free texting. While GV calls use minutes, texting is free (as long as you have data service).

Been with t-mobile since jan. Im on the 79.99 1500 minutes, unlimited data (5gb cap) and unlimited text messages.

I just called last year and asked for customer loyalty and got the preferred android unlimited for $20 on each line for my G2 and wife's MT4G, with 2 lines, 750 min, unlimited text and data and hot spot @home ($10 add on for unlimited wi-fi calling) we only pay $120 a month out the door, got locked in on student discount for 15% off monthly bill that they had a few years ago, we've been with T-Mobile since '01 when it was Voicestream.

Man, I sure wish I would have known about student discounts. I have been with tmo for as long as you have, lol. Right now, paying 84.36 per month for 1000 minutes, unlimited text/data without any caps, as far as i know.
I pay 140 for unlimited everything 2 phones and both have the insurance plan. Im on a no contract plan which is cheaper then the other ones. Also i can call up anytime i want to negotiate because i can always leave. I would ask everyone to NEVER sign a contract! Contracts are the enemy.

9 years
Wow. Lol, I've only been with T-Mobile for about 6 months but I have the Even More Plus 750 family plan with two lines and unlimited texting/data on both and the total equipment protection plan on both, and I have to pay $171 after taxes and everything. Y'all guys with these super cheap plans make me jealous, oh well they are a great company and I'm happy with my service
03, 600 anytime, ul n/w, txt and data. With .gov preferred discount I pay 65 a month.
Called customer service complained and got my family unlimited text down from 24.99 to 9.99 and got android plan for 20.
So im basically paying 5 dollars more than what i used to pay and got unlimited android plan.

Saw this a few hours ago, figured i would share it with you guys. This is an awesome deal if you want to stay with sprint. They are offering a month of free service if you renew your contract for another two years. You can do it regardless of how far you're into your contract and it does not change your upgrade eligibility. I'm planning on going to the sprint store tomorrow and doing this. My upgrade is in a month but I'm waiting for the galaxy s II

Thanks for posting. still no information on 32gb or 64gb and a lack of LTE information...
only a week away! w00t

any news on orange? am hoping to go in store next week and pick up...
Nah, I have a tmo contract so I didn't phone orange but if you look around (google) you'll find contracts for all the major networks. I didn't see any for 3 or Virgin though. Try the phones4u or carphone warehouse websites to get an idea of what orange are going to offer when you go in store

called p4u today they offered me as an upgrade
Free Note 2 16GB (they dont have any info on 32 or 64GB)
1GB Data
900 mins/2000 texts
on £31.50 a month for 24months.
Seems like a good deal (currently on panther 35 600mins/750mb at 35ppm)
That does sound good. TMo say they have zero info on the Note 2 whatsoever.. They say it's weird how there are TMo contracts for the note 2 advertised but nothing on their own systems. They said I'll just have to wait till next Monday.

yeh when I phone Orange direct they told me the same - however P4U want your business and if you give em a call will tell you all the contracts they can offer...
It's actually an upgrade. I called dial-a-phone and one other company who's name I can't even remember, and they told me I can't upgrade through them until my contract is actually finished (October 26th)
I can only upgrade a month early if it's direct from tmo. Looks like I have to wait till Monday

The reason they don't need to be on the networks system is, the phone supplied through p4u, cpw, etc are often SIM free. So effectively your network contract might as well be SIM only. All the reseller needs is a price for the phone and an agreed commission for selling plans at particular prices and then they can start taking pre-orders. The bonus is no network branding, which can range from acceptable to dreadful.

So is it better to upgrade through the carrier or the 3rd party? Which is generally better value for money?

I'm supposedly getting my Galaxy Note 2 on Tuesday. My contract is 900 mins, 3000 texts, 1gb data for £33.50. Again, from Phones4u. Is that a decent contract? My current contract is 1200 mins, 3000 texts and 750mb for £32.50.

you've gained 250MB but lost 300 minutes for £1 extra a month. If you don't use your minutes then yes its a good deal. But did you get cashback, as stated earlier I got £200 (well they said it will be in my bank within 42 days)...
Just been told by mobiles.co.UK they don't start to ship until week monday so what company's will ship tomorrow

No I don't get cash back I'm afraid. This is an orange contract but they're giving me 2 orange swappables. That didn't mean anything to me until they explained I can use 2 services that don't tap into my data. I.e. Being able to watch certain programmes or streaming/downloading music without using my data.
Edit: I've never used my full 1200 minutes in all honesty. I rarely use my phones for calls and I still have my magic numbers I guess.
Thats actually a very very good deal!

Parents have just said they will get me the Nexus 4 for christmas if I like. My phone is upgradable in February next year, so my plan is as follows. This is my current setup:
£30 a month contract, 24 months
Galaxy S2
200 minutes
Unlimited texts
500MB data
Pay off the remaining months of this contract in feb, will not be anymore than £100.
8GB Nexus 4 at christmas from the parents.
I get a sim only contract, 12 months, at £15 a month.
Unlimited data
5000 texts
600 minutes.
Am I doing the right thing...??
I say so. The freedom of no contract is an amazing feeling.

Why pay off the contract early? If you've been surviving on 500MB data and 200min for the last 20mths, and you think you can do so for another 4, then just have your service provider send you a micro-sim so you can use your current contract on the new phone. Saves you £100.
Yeah its unlocked, so just switch the simcard from one phone to another.
But those are some good plan compared to what we have to pay here in the States, unlimited data for 15pounds, wow.
Vodafone UK for me.
£29.99 up front for the phone.
And a 24 month contract at £40 a month for unlimited minutes and texts with 10gb of data.
I've checked out some of the American/Canadian costs and it seems you get a real s**t deal over there when it comes to mobile phone contracts.
Preordered unbranded S7 Edge Black on Orange Romania's online shop. With Gear VR and an external battery of 2000mAh. All price: 790€ (about 870$) free of new contract.
Think O2 UK have robbed me £49.99 upfront and £49 a month for 5gb of data and unlimited minutes and texts
I'm with AT&T and was forced over to their Next program. Had to pay tax upfront ($77) with $15 upgrade fee added to my next bill. Then the cost of the phone is spread out over 30 monthly payments of $26.50 added to my monthly bill which is 5GB shared data with unlimited calling and text for a base price of $50 and a $25 access fee along with my wife's $40 access fee for her iPhone 6+. So my monthly bill is $50+$26.50+$25+$40 = $141.50.
Compared to what you guys are paying, we are definitely getting screwed in the US.

My tariff would be £50 a month but I get 20% off through work. Still, only 5gb for £50 a month isn't great. You could get twice that at Vodafone and pay £20 less up front.
T-Mobile USA $817 outright. I only buy outright so my bill is 190 unlimited everything for 5 lines(it's discounted) after taxes.

They didn't mention the headphones, I got the Gear VR for free. Have a chat with them, as it is part of the Red 4G package. They did not say anything to me about it, until I was looking online. I had a chat to them via the webchat, and they sent through the links to activate once the phone gets delivered
800€ for phone (3*266€ on samsung site).
25€ for 5go(then reducted speed) / unlimited calling and text. (no engagment)
Will sell my old phone for 350€
So arround 1050€ (1150$/830£) for 2 years (44€(48$/35£) / month)
I bought the phone outright direct through the Samsung website. I use the £15 4GB Giffgaff tarriff. Cost over 24 months is £1000, which is cheaper than any other deal I could find from any other provider. There's a deal through carphone warehouse and o2 which works out as £1016 and you get 5GB data. I kinda thought about going for that one, but I'd also have to go through the hassle of moving my number over as well. I like a simple life.
44:99 per month and 0 upfront for 10GB data with EE. Bought from Mobile Phones Direct.
499CDN for the S7 Edge on Rogers for me. Plus 13% tax. Then $77+tax a month for a 5gb corporate plan.
Had 2 phones to upgrade with sprint. Pre-ordered today, will be around $32 a month for the S7 Edge on a 24mo plan (option to upgrade after 12 months on the new Galaxy Forever through sprint) and the 2nd phone an S7 at around $13 (had a buy 2 get one at 50% off for the S7). Was no up front costs right now but might have to pay taxes on them both once the phones are in, but i'm not sure.
I have went with an upgrade through CPW with EE.
S7 edge.
Unlimited call/texts and 5gb data.
£129.99 upfront and £37.49 a month.done through quidco so get £65 cash back.best deal I could find.

To be fair that works out around £55 a month after conversion, not much more than you'd pay here in the UK. What would you pay up front for the phone?
What do u mean upfront? We pay a month in advance for the plan but other than that $0 upfront for the phone
