Signal Strength, ModemFirmware & BatteryLife - Galaxy S III General

Hi
I was thinking that we can make a thread about Signal Strength, ModemFirmware & BatteryLife.
You can get the modem firmware from Intratech's Thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969&page=2
1. Post your signal strength(dBm and asu) before and after flashing a new firmware.
2. Charge your battery to 100% and use the SGS 3 until 25% or so and take a screen capture and post it with: Cell Standby , Screen, Graph and how much your apps used.
3. Did you feel improvement in your battery life/signal strength?
Press thanks if this was a good idea

1. 89dBm and 11asu with XXLE8 modem 87dBm and 12asu with XXLEF
3. Did you feel improvement in your battery life/signal strength?
Actually i felt it used more battery, but i got a tiny improvement with the signal.
I will try another modem

As to battery - you were playing Ingress... duh........
Tethering is a known issue, unfortunately most of the people with experience diagnosing tethering issues don't have I9300s.

Most Insane battery lifetime !!

Previously with 44S update, stock kernel, I was able to pull out to 6 hours of screen on time and 2.5 hours of talk time on a full battery cycle.
People had been complaining about bad battery performance with 05Q, so I decided to go back to CM11S from the Custom ROMs I had been using for Android 5 and here's the result !!

With WiFi or 3G on all the time, automatic brightness.

Note 4 N910C very bad battery life

I'm running on 5.1.1 COJ5 latest for my country:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/60110/N910CXXU2COJ5_N910COXX2COJ2_VIM/
So if you are on a stock firmware and you have good battery life i would love it if you told me what your version is so I can try it out. Or maybe if you have other suggestions.

Mybattery is similar to your issue I'm going to root my device this week and use a custom Rom but I'm told by many people to replace battery and don't use diffrent kind of chargers. I hope someone know the best way to keep this phone running cool and processing values decrease when focusing on 1app like reading in appygeek so battery extends longer. I'm pretty sure this can stay a full day if just browsing, reading and phone calling, chatting and some small video clips in whatsapp. Because right now I'm charging phone 2wice a day fullcharge. Zzzzz

Cell Standby Battery Drain but Mobile Radio Not Active?

So in my quest to unleash the 6P's maximum battery life I've stumbled upon this. The mobile radio is not active for more than two minutes, yet cell standby has the highest computed battery use. My wireless connection is in the green for most of the time. When the mobile radio is active, however, I see a significant battery drain. It's as if the battery is just waiting for me to turn it on before it shows the percentage go down. The last time since full charge is about 2.5 days, and SOT is about 1.5 hours. I'm using Pure Nexus rom with Franco Kernal and Naptime, all fully up to date. Anyone have a solution/cause of this?

Advice on what's hogging my battery and zapping it at 50ish %

Hi. I'm on the B03 build of Oreo non rooted. Had to manually find the download as bought phone from Italy and imported to UK.
Really like Oreo but since getting it, my battery has been cutting out at around 50% sometimes lower. There is something in the battery life that is hogging it but it doesn't say what, just the android symbol at 86%.
Would a new battery fix this or is it time for a new phone? I've only had this 2 years and most phones I've got 4 years out of. Love the hardware but it's been a bugger for lack of support and no OTA updates.
