Would you mind posting the service manual for the Universal to Rapidshare or somewhere like that? I need it and know a couple of others on this forum that own Universal's and I know they won't mind having it.

That is not what he's asking for. He's asking for the service manual. It's a lot more info that just a few pics and instructions thrown together. We do need someone to release the service manual soon, hopefully.

Nice! Thanks Mike. I'm going to be working on both my Universal and Hermes sometime in the next two weeks and these will come in very handy.

Great stuff! Thanks Mike. Unfortunately I get the same problem. Downloads fine, but on extraction I get an error message which states that:
You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack Athena PDF.
Any chance you can fix this please? Cheers Mike.

In an effort to reduce redundant threads and unnecessary postings please be sure to consult the Xperia X1 wiki first and only if you can't find the answer in the wiki than please post your question.
Also if you come across information that is helpful please return the favor by adding it to the wiki. The process is very simple. Don't worry about messing up as there is a page history for every wiki page so in event of corruption, page can be restored to a previous version. With that said:

Re-Organized the X1 Wiki/Added Categorys/Added Links
Hello Guys,
I have reorganized the structure of the main Xperia Wiki here at xda-Devs.

I also think it is very important for having an structured and navigation friendly Wiki of "our device".
This will help most of us for finding/locating important information efficient and quick!
I have added an section where we can switch over from the Xperia-Wiki directly to the Xperia Forum.
I have also added some "sub" categorys (for example: "Topic related links->Xperia Videos" which points to some useful Videos anywhere in the I-net.)
So please feel invited for editing/updating the main Wiki Page if you have helpul information!

To both of you, thanks for your contribution. We need everyone on all device forums to think like this and work on the wiki so it can be a complete resource for everyone.
jahd5000 your suggestion is good. I believe when you say compatibility list you mean x1a (america) and regular x1 roms?? If so, than i'll try to go through the forum and see which roms are compatible with which version of the phone.

A dictionary
I really like lexisgoo (strange name or what!) as it has a nice interface worthy of your lovely phone and is a really good dictionary. It makes even me sound clever
Don't think you'll find a free one as I imagine the development and sourcing the data is probably costly.
The start menu icon could be better (but of course you can change that).

It's from Chinese website,I tried it,it's english-english dictionary,vedry complete,you can find the meanings of such words: wanker,hooch,aye etc. very good,you will be delighted.

Pretty simple really. If you click on the download links from post #5.
Scroll down and click the middle link from the download page.
Nice find nokiadashi, although I do wonder about the legality of the links...

it's too big file,totally over 20MB,it's too cumbersome to upload to xda.
Actually you dont need google translation, in the download page,scroll down,you will see the wording "50k/s",it's the direct download link.

I saw something like this on www.freewarepocketpc.net but I dont have the direct link to it. If you got time check that site it has that and more translation material.

I just asked what apps you're trying to install that give you this error. As I stated previously, I've never seen this message except when trying to install some games...which probably won't run anyways.

What the heck dude, I asked what apps you're trying to install, so you post some screen shots of the Market?!?
I'm only going to ask this one more time.
Which apps are you trying to install, that give you the error message?
Also, have you tried installing them from the phone itself? Not thru the Market on your PC...
I have not tried to install on your phone just by the android market is easier for me than finding application using the application on your phone
