Dear all, I was initially awaiting for the countdown of my DHD from Expansys, and supposedly its another 11 days to the 11th of Oct whereby our DHD will be released... But when I checked my order status just now, the estimated delivery date becomes 19 days... Is it that the system has problems, or is it that HTC decided to postpone the release date of DHD?
I'm expecting some sort of delay from HTC. I think we're probably going to be ending up looking towards the end of October for release and us actually having the handset in our hands.
MPD still says 11th. We shall see.
Jeez dont be saying that. I have sold my 2 phones and now working with an old Nokia which has the cover hanging off it.

T-mobile have delayed their launch it's in November now!
I've also put pre-order with mobilephonesdirect.com they were admant it will be 7th Oct.
In my past experience release dates mean nothing. There always seam to be a delay of some sort. I agree with the end of October being a more realistic time of this phone getting in my hand. I wanted it back on September 15th but good things come to those who wait I suppose.

The release date will delay in Finland even further, or do you think that HTC has made enough phones this time to answer the demand?
I too am suspecting a delay .... there have been no reviews by any of the android sites which is normal a week or so before launch to gain interest for the phone and the blogging has been quiet as well.
Disappointed but not surprised, again it will be interesting to hear what the cause of this is. I am watching the prices of Desires on ebay as they are going down in price and am wondering whether the DHD is worth the differential!!

Hmm ive looked at quite a few different sites and no one elso seems to have changed their dates. So i hoping it is just a problem on expansys part and then everyone else will get their HD's in the first week or 2 of next month!
I can't see this phone being released by the end of next week. There are no solid reviews out. Normally release models have been sent out for review. As long as it's out for November 16th my upgrade date I'll be happy.

I called Vodafone tonight, they still have no release date for the Desire HD, but their Desire Z release date is November 1st. Somehow the guy managed to talk me into buying a Galaxy S.

Solid reviews? Have there been any yet. Normally Engadget are pretty hot with reviews and I'm keeping my ear close to the ground for any rumblings of hands on other than the leaks.

Clove still says 6th october for first stock - hopefully that will arrive on time and I'll get one of them
All Swedish online retailers I've checked have October 14th-16th as the release date, and that's how it's been ever since the DHD first appeared on those sites. It's never had an earlier date than that in Sweden.
My order at Expansys still has the 11th/12th October delivery date. Let's hope it stays that way

This one is a bit of a sore point for me...
when I ordered, it said around 9 Jan. When they confirmed, it then said 15 Jan. When I check the order on the notion ink website now, it says simply "February"

For me it's says first on pre-order 6 to 8 weeks
and after on status page it shows me 15-22 jan what means 4 to 6 weeks
and now February what correspond to 6 to 8 weeks
But it's loooooong to wait
When I ordered, it showed 9th Jan. For few days in the preorder status page it showed 9th Jan. Then the pre-order status page changed to - 15th to 22nd Jan :-(
Seeing that for some of you the ship date changed from 9th Jan to February, I am considering myself lucky!!
I hope to get my hands on one of these.

Mine was also originally Jan 9 and changed to Jan 15-Jan 22.
Mine said 6th, then after a few days said 15-22nd. It has stayed there, so I'm glad. It was mentioned that they hoped to get out all orders sooner if possible.

Eventually doesn't cut it for me. I understand it's a pre-order, so I can deal with a bit of a delay, but the closer it gets to the Xoom release date the more I'm going to start questioning my order.
Better yet, I'll start thinking about putting it on eBay! It looks like a few people are making a pretty good margin on re-selling their preorders.
How are you going to adjust the angle on the Xoom
camera for a video chat sitting at your desk or in a chair? You are going to have to adjust the angle of the stand it is on. That could be a challenge. Adam owners will reach over and adjust with one finger.
Andy from NIH 15th-22nd and my order doesn't sound like it will be delayed. I got an email from Jon @ norton ink. I think all pre orders will go out together.

Rohan just posted unboxing photos of Adam in his blog.
Adams were shipped in 2 steps - China to HK, and HK to India. So, there is 2 tracking numbers for each unit and the 1st one (China to HK) is not share with a customer. So, I expect those people in the pre-order 1 batch will receive the long waited tracking number soon.

Yes. Mine has changed to 29th too.
Mine, too. Jan9 to Jan15-22, now Jan 29. So, it's a shipment delayed, not pre-poned.
The February orders were preponed, ours were postponed. Possibly combining the February and late January orders

OK, time for me to post here, every post I have made on the NI blog is "awaiting moderation"
While it’s not life altering it is a bit disappointing that my shipment has been moved from the 22 to the 29th, but I’ll patiently wait. It’s looking like a pretty good piece of tech and I love my gadgets
There seems to be a lot of people on the NI blog who think this tablet is going to change their lives, I hope they are not disappointed when it arrives, after all, it is just a computer. Yeh, it’s definately the leader in its field at a great price… but it is still just a piece of tech.
My speculation for why there are delays is that NI are buying production time in a Chinese factory, so actual production days are out of their control. Surely if it was their own factory the production line would be running continuously and we wouldn’t have batch 1 / batch 2. Just my speculation and I have been wrong once once or twice in my life before.
Same here. None of my posts on the blog make it either. My last one was a my 2 cents, hurry up and wait being something im use too, just chill no need to stress since the lucky preorders while have their adams soon enough and will look back and maybe laugh. I'm just hoping it turns out all good and I will get a chance to order also. Its just tech, will all be looking for our next big toy after this one....still eye'ing a kinect.
Mine is at Lisbon at this moment, but according to TNT they cant release it yet, and only tomorrow ill be able to grab it, but since i got to work maybe only at night ill be able to post some videos of the unboxing.

Same here... originally the 9th. Pushed back to 15-22. Now it's showing the 29th.
It was pretty clever of Rohan to blog about orders being "pre-poned" when in reality this only applies to the February orders which was the smallest batch of the pre-orders. Based on Rohans comment in the latest blog post, it looks like the next largest number of people were in the 15-22 range and their orders have actually been delayed yet again. What a creative use of the press...

Would there be any issues with buying a white galaxy note from ebay or simplyelectronics as i'm getting bored of waiting now.
Will it have a foriegn firmware on it and suffer from having problems when upgrading the firmware? or is it simply the fact that it may come with a non european charger.

Super annoyed with Handtec. From what I hear they have great customer service, and so far I haven't heard any bad things from anyone about handtec. But my experience has been this:
- Show "Due in soon. Taking pre-orders." for a month even though it isn't "Due in soon."
- Post that the shipment is due in on the week of the 21st. (Suspiciously gaining pre-orders directly before black-friday), then don't actually get it in.
- When people ask for updates on the blog post, they have never responded. Wow, thanks a lot.
- When asked on Twitter, they responded that it will be in later.
- Even after all this, they still have "Due in soon. Taking pre-orders." and they haven't updated the blog post, nor tweeted anything publicly to help people.
- Interesting how they will most likely just end up getting it in sometime in December. When the rumored release will be.
So glad they're taking pre-orders. Thanks a lot handtec.

I trying to decide if I want to order the blue one now, wait till at least Dec 15th, or pay the extra 200 bucks for one on eBay...white is nice, but not worth 200 extra bucks!!!
Let me start by saying that I apologize if a similar thread has already been made. I've done some searching and can't find anything, and didn't feel like reading through 70+ pages in the shipping thread.
I was part of the group that pre-ordered the nexus 7. Based on my experience with that (both the issues with the original batch of nexus 7's and the shipping issues), I was thinking about giving it a bit of time before ordering a nexus 4. Some opinions would be nice though. When's everyone planning on ordering?

I was planning on 13th but now I'm thinking of letting it settle for a week or two.
I have a nagging feeling a 32GB version is going to come out early next year but I'll sell this and upgrade to that. I bought a 16GB N7 in July and sold it a few weeks ago and only lost out a little bit. I'll be picking up a 3G 32GB N7 soon too
