Hi.. I used this program (ISO-8859-1__xda_ii_172187_final) which I downloaded here to update my XDA II and then for some reason, the update failed. I didn't know why then my screen showed "Serial" on top and "v1.06" on the bottom of the screen. Then when I connect it to the cradle, it says "USB" on top and same goes for the bottom. Help me, I can't use my XDA...
just rerun the update
Sir, I can't rerun the update because I'm stuck in the bootloader. To run the update, I need to perform a restart which I am not able to do..
no to run the upgrade all that is needed is connecting the usb as soon as it change from serial to usb or is it the other way around i forget one can just rerun the update
don it a million times that way
windows detect the device as ms usb da device or something and when it's finished with the driver one can run the udate again without any problems
when i tried that i got an error "101" like that.
now i can't even power up my XDA ... can u also help with that? tnx so much.. i think i have charged it long enough.. but it still doesnt go on..

It is actually the disconnection error
1 - first fully charged battery.
2 - install mobile device center or active sync ( as per your OS )
3 - Enter in to the bootloader mode
4 - connect USB cable with ppc device.
5 - wait for detection of the device
6 - drivers are automatically installed if you are using windows7 it shows
driver installed successfully & device is ready to use.
7 - extract the rom update utility from the posts whichever you like ( remember choose it carefully as per your device )
8 - just double click on upgrade icon in extracted folder and yeah you done.
if still any problem persists then fell free to contact me on [email protected]
So Orange are supposed to be pushing the 7392 update tomorrow. I have the 4.10.1.9 bad bootloader so am not expecting the update to install however i read here that a few people on 4.10.1.9 were able to do so.
My question is if i try and install and it gets stuck in the reboot loop, what is the correct procedure to abort the update?
Disconnect the cable then pull the battery and reboot? Just pull the battery?
And will i need to recover it at all via zune or will the update just fail and when i reboot the phone it will be ok?
Thanks!

The update will just fail once it realised it's booted up again into the OS. Just disconnect and pull the battery. Once you put it back in, it should boot up fine. Connect the cable once again and Zune should say it's failed applying the update.
I'm on Three and still can't get past this issue, even with the Samsung fix.
That's annoying to hear
I suppose you have tried the usual steps of freeing up lots of space on your device and using different USB ports... ?
Then the annoying step of a hard reset?
I pre-emptively applied the Samsung patch as i did not want to be stuck in a boot loop! I don't suppose anyone knows what it actually does? I'm guessing since it only takes like 10 seconds to patch it is just overwriting a possibly faulty file in the phone somewhere that should prevent the update from finishing.
I'm still on 7008! did ya'll get the update?? Or did you all update to nodo post april 11?

Apparently us poor sods on Orange aren't getting 7392 anytime soon.
http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_phone/b/windowsphone/archive/2011/05/25/more-7392-update-deliveries-underway.aspx
"7392 is now rolling out to Windows Phones on Sprint in the U.S. and Orange in Europe. If you have an Omnia 7 on Orange, you won’t be receiving an update just yet. We are going to update those phones separately."
God knows what that means. Really pissed off about it.
Grrrrr ¬¬ it has been a mahusive **** up the whole NoDo update! they really need to get Mango perfect!
Yup. Really frustrating isn't it!

Turn off your phone.
Keep holding down the camera button and turn on your phone. If you see the USB to PC mode, your phone will be able to update.
Zune only requires that your phone be able to enter USB to PC download mode(Camera+PowerOn) and not the other Download mode (VolumeUp+Camera+PowerOn).

That's interesting... Just tried it and my phone does enter the connect to PC mode.
I do have the bad bootloader 4.10.1.9 however i Jigged mine using 301k resistors and installed the Samsung patch so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. No one seems to know what the patch actually does :s
This is good news though! Thanks for the heads up.

The Samsung patch is supposed to fix phones that cannot enter USB > PC download mode. But it doesn't work for some, that is why during Zune patching process, the phone will enter rebooting loop at step 6 because it is trying to enter USB > PC download mode.
If yours is working fine now, you don't have to worry.

Ahh right, thanks again. So I guess the lack of being able to enter download mode without the resistor jig is another side effect of this bad bootloader. And without this ability the Samsung patch cannot be applied and the update cannot subsequently complete and update the bad software.
The update from 7008 isnt even available yet though?

I have to say I would rather them just get the issues with the Omnia sorted and out the way now. I don't really care about receiving 7392 as it adds little / nothing.
If Mango is delayed or Omnia owners i will be infuriated though.
Yes definatley!! The mango update HAS to be smooth because Nodo has been a disaster...

No. If your phone can enter USB > PC download mode, Microsoft can choose to fix your bad bootloader through Zune.
Tmobile Omnia 7 users have had their phone firmware upgraded in through Zune.
As long as your phone can enter USB > PC download mode, do not do anything to the phone.
I upgraded to official 2.3.4 GB (i think it was a Chinese ROM because i downloaded it from the huawei website) and i did not like it because my phone did not get Data or Wifi Or Bluetooth so i i downgraded my phone to 2.2.2 back to the original firmware it had but when i was installing it my phone said Successfully Installed and then it turned of but then nothing happened black screen, next day i change it it turn on the touch keys turn on and LED turn red but screen is black

I am also having this type of problem. I rooted installed CWM and flashed a custom rom now i have the blue screen issue. Can't find the files I need to repair this anywhere. All the treads have broken links.

PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!!:crying:
I installed ubuntu
can I use ubuntu to see my phone stuff? sorry i couldnt explain my self
It would be worth a try. I have and increadble and the first time i rooted and and tried to run a rom on it. I got the same kinda thing yor getting. It was a screen driver problem. That might be something to think about. My previous post worked like a charm. Try it your phone is already dead. Just pretend it is at the right screen it wont work if it doesnt find your device.
Nope It did not recognize my phone only when I'm on windows my PC recognize it as a HID-Compatible device but when I go to my Device Manager and uninstall the driver it recognize it as a ""Quantomm something something MSM"" but then windows installs it again and I'm trying to install as something else, ANYONE GOT ANY TIPS?
Sent from my MB300 using xda app-developers app
Mine was being reconized as a Qualcomm ........ but it still worked. See if this is helpfull. http://www.addictivetips.com/window...tomatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/
r0y123 Did you ever get your phone working? I have the same issue.
So, i flashed a stock android 7 rom on my moto g4 plus. It was working fine, until, i updated it for a new security update(the rom had security version of December,2017) and it restarted. The update started to install but after sometime minutes, it switched off. I tried charging it up, but only the LED at the bottom is blinking but i can't start it up. I tried going into bootloader mode but i can't go in the bootloader mode. Any possible way i can get this phone working? Even going into bootloader will be okay for me as i will then factory reset my device. Please help me. The service centre people are taking like $155 but the phone itself is slightly more than it.

Hmm, do you have the Motorola drivers installed https://support.motorola.com/us/en/drivers and do you have driver signature enforcement disabled if running Windows 10 or 8.1? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/amp/
Are you also using the original USB cable or a high quality USB data cable?

From your description, you said: you have already flashed firmware, is it same PC ?
If it's same PC, and Cable then i see no problem with PC, drivers, and Cable.. all fine..
Just make sure charging your phone for couple of minutes,
In addition, have service center guys made any changes in device ?

Hello everyone, so here i am trying to flash a friend's a1000, but unfortunately, i'm unable to do so because when i try to enter the bootloader by holding the volume up key before plugging in the usb cable to start the process, it only connects to the computer for about 9 seconds, and then automatically disconnects, i get a coloured screen afterwards, and i would be forced to restart the device, i first suspected that it was the cable, but i was wrong, since i've already tried a bunch of cables, all with the same exact result, i also used 3 different computers, and i still got the same result, please respond if you have any idea.

Do you guys still have the files?
I managed to get the proper drivers and the phone is seen by the computer and I manage to flash it , but the phone is completly dead after the flash .
The power button wont do anything, plugging it into the charger doesnt do anything, I can only reflash it by connecting it to the pc while holding the volume up & down buttons.
Checking on old forums, aparently there are two versions of the phone , single sim and dual sim.
Also the revision number seems to be important for some reason, so mines is dual sim , revision 61 .
I believe this was the firmware that was on it previously, although the phone remained stuck at the boot logo : a1000_usr_s29798_1511241708_sprd7731_ro , but i cant find it anywhere , so I flashed the one you guys had , but now the phone is a dead brick after the flashing ends . Nothing on the screen, no response from any of the buttons, just dead.

sorry, i deleted my lenovo a1000 files to focus on other phones. from what i have heard that issue is common with that phone. i know someone who flashed the firmware on their a1000 and got stuck in the same issue as you. i tried to help them unbrick it but it seems to be impossible. i think you need to do a board replacement if you want to use that phone again. also, i dont think that the phone revisions are that important cause i managed to get lenovo a1000m firmware on my lenovo a1000.
