hi,
i've got a problem with the cam of my prophet. each time i want to use it, its like in the night mode so its not possible to shot a pic or use the video mode till you don't move. if you move the jam you get blurred or wiggly images. is there any way to fix this problem?
Same problem (camera makes strange psycedelic pictures)
I have recently updated the rom of my xda neo to the latest version offered from o2. And now the camera always makes this silly pics.
any ideas???
i upgrade too to the lastest rom, and it improve my camera quality..
what's the rom you have? a new rom was released recently?
Overclocking causes strange camera behaviour (omap850, WM5 update)
The problem only occurs when the omap processor is overclocked (> 195MHz). The higher the clock rate is set the stranger the picture is looking (more green/pink pixelated areas).

The problem is caused by the new ROM 2.15.04.140.
Mine's worse....pressing the camera button on the side and nothing comes up on the screen...only black screen. And will return normal to desktop if I pressed OK button. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
TQ.
Hi guys
I recently bought an MDA Compact II and was really disappointed with the camera, as it is too dark and practically unusable when there is no sunlight.
But that's not the problem. The problem is that I also got one for my girlfriend cos she needed a GPS for the car and....surprise...the camera (i.e. brightness) is 1000 times better! ALL the settings are the same, however hers will automatically adjust the brightness much more and make it much lighter (very nice actually) when there is not much physical light. Mine also makes automatic adjustments but to a much much smaller level.
The only differences these phones have, are:
1. I have installed the updated ROM on mine
2. I have SIM unlocked mine
Any ideas?
Could it be the ROM? If so, do you think I can find the old rom anywhere?
Thanks very much.
I have just updated my Charmer to the newest ROM last night and found the same degrade in camera quality too, though it isn't too bad like yours but still worse and darker than the original shipped ROM.
I'm using the latest uk t-mobile rom and my camera seems fine.
I'm guessing yo have played with the Adjustment option to change the brightness, contrast etc?
should make a huge difference
camera problem still
I too have just installed the latest T-mobile upgrade, and the camera is very dark...and yes I've fiddled with the settings. The camera patch sounds great, but won't run....it comes up with an unsuccessful message...anyone any thoughts?

I successfully installed the patch on my phone, but it didn't make any difference at all (at least not for the better!)...So the problem remains...which is a shame, considering it is (apparently) coming from the firmware and not the hardware!
i solved the problem on my mda compact II on t-mobile (uk) all i did is changed the home screen settings and removed the t-mobile bit and went back to normal theme and now camarah is perfect this has worked on 2 others as well lol so i guess there is a prob with the t-mobile customisation software
Hi... I had the same problem... I changed the Flicker Filter Option from auto to 50hz and it works!!!!!!

I've been using the GGL ROM - Defy Green Lens for a little while now, gps is not as stable it was back in cm7 / miui. usually i get gps reception in my office , but now it shows no gps .. is there any patch for better gps reception. is this a bug or is it just for me ???
Hi
I too had recently updated to GGL ROM. Can you please tell how the camera is working... like pictures and clarity... mine seems to be very dark,
GPS is fine with me.....
Thanks
Camera picture are dark for me also.. i think the image quality has also gone down. GPS works fine for me.. but the reception is low than earlier.. but overall this rom is simply the best... very good battery backup. small bugs are present sometimes the phone becomes non responsive.. maybe bcoz of the lack of taskmanager..
I tried to zoom in to take a few pictures but the camera becomes very blurry.... any idea why this is so?? Maybe i shud return to froyo....
First i am sorry for my english
My problem.
When i use the flash to take a picture in low light or darkness my pictures come out black or reaaaaly dark.
The flash either goes off to fast or is to short. It only seems like a micro second.
When i focus the camera it does emit the light to focus.
The solution i found.
Well to be honest i have no idea how to use it.
It is some sort of code and i am a complete idiot at that
I am running
(Stock) Android 6.0.1
Kernel 3.10.61-8140803
Build number MMB29K.G903FXXU1BPE2
Camera firmware is stock
CAM FW version K16LLIA00SM
Load FW version K16LLJA01SC
PHONE FW version K16LLJA01SC
I am getting very annoyed by this problem and the fact that i spend 3 hours searching for a solution i cant apply had me mad as hell.
Edit: forgot to metion i tried all options i could think of with the camera setting. Even downloaded a 3rd party program called camera vf5
I am hoping you are able to help me

Hello everyone. I am using Nokia 6.1 plus global, running latest android pie. Ever since i updated my camera app has a problem with timing the front facing flash. When i turn it on(when using front camera in the dark),the phone flashes but the flash shows only for split second and the photo comes out all dark,no flash to be seen. Any fix for this? Thanks in advance
Maybe you should try google cam?
