Best ics rom aokp for hd2 or nexus hd2 ics ? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey Guyzz I Was Wondering Which Is The Best And Stable ICS ROM,Which One To Choose Between AOKP OR NEXUS HD2
Thank You ...!!!

NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.0
I am using SD version of NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.0. There are some lags due to my SD Card but most of time its stable.

Before HWA, I found AOKP to be faster and smoother.
I haven't tried both of them now with HWA, but with the first version of Milestone 5 in AOKP it was working quite well. Only had a few issues with the camera.
I'm planning to test the Tytung's one today hopefully.

Even I Am Using It...!! And Its Just Awesome

best dhd rom

Hey guys, what would the best rom be to load on the dhd as of today?
[ROM][PNK14] Occasional & funky CM7 (Gingerbread) builds by phunkycow
Its the most buggfree and fluid Gingerbread build.. Almost flawless and doesnt suffer the lagg issue other Gingerbread roms have
There isn't a best one. It comes down to personal taste. Right now I am liking leedroid although myself I have some technical problems with it. Many people are running it fine though. It's a heavily tweaked sense rom.
My other favourite at the moment is rcmixhd. Unlike leedroid it isn't tweaked much at all, you just get a very clean and stable sense build.
Cyanogenmod 7 shows much promise too although it's still in heavy development so even the above mentioned pnk build has some buggy behaviour such as the weird and broken video gallery. Within a few weeks it should be great though.
Cyanogenmod 6 is much more stable but I find the stock froyo copy paste just too annoying without a trackball. All cyanogenmod roms are like AOSP on steroids.

[Q] Please help

I want to flash my HD2 with android NAND rom, I'm not looking for someone to show me how to do it, I have found the instructions on the forum.
What I want to know is which is the best rom at the moment which is stable and has good battery life for daily use, on winmo I can get about 3-4 days on standby. At the moment I am running Andorid from SD, having looked around there is lots of roms which don't have much to differentiate between each of them.
So could anyone help by telling me which rom is the best and if there is any known problems with NAND installation of andorid, I would prefer one with HTC sense.
Thanks
One of the most stable NAND Roms for HD2 is TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly that you can download it from here and does not have HTC Sense. IS very stable, Battery last for many days in iddle and has good battery life for daily use :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
I have tested this Rom many times and is very reliable, and it has 200MB free ram when you turn on the phone (It needs 45-60 sec to boot!--> crazy fast). It has an overclockable kernel, that means you can overclock or underclock the frequency of CPU in times when you playing or you want to extend battery life. Thus is one of the most updated roms in XDA-HD2 Forums (Gingerbread 2.3.4)
Roms with HTC Sense they don't allow HD2 battery last for long period as much as the roms without HTC Sense. The most reliable roms has Android Froyo, Gingerbread version with the latest HTC Sense which is smooth and fast has many bugs such as Camcorder, Graphic Glitches and the power menu works only once. Otherwise if you don't care about the version of Android the most stable roms with HTC Sense is imilka's Roms (Personal Opinion):
imilka's RAM Desire HD v2.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954369&highlight=imilka
imilka's Incredible Sense v1.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=963521
imilka's Vision Sense v5.0

You decide which rom fits to your needs.
But come on! Test and test and test roms in order to find the most appropriate for you!
Happy Flashing!
had positive experience with roms from boyppc...
The best Sense ROM for battery life imo is Skinks Clean Desire (it uses Sense 1.0 instead of 2.0 so that nay be why), the best ALSO is definitely Typhoon CyanogenMod.

thank you all very much, I think i'll leave the sense and try typhoon cyanogenmod 7.
Installed typhoon 7 all working perfectly fine so far, thanks again guys.

Which is best NAND android rom for HD2?

please help! !!!
MIUI
ENERGY
Hyper Droid
Nexus HD2?
which rom you guys think is better!!
please help!!! I already flash all them don;t see any diffent.
which is battery saver and faster?
Why not try all of them to see yourself which one is better
I'm using SENSATION XL V 2.5 stock ALL IN ONE on my HD2. Its kinda laggy but I think that might be about my sd card. But everyone says it's the fastest and smothest Sense Rom ever. So I would give it a try.
For now, froyo and nexus based rom GB are suitable for my EU HD2. Runny and pyramid are still buggy and most of them runs laggy. Don't now if this happen to tmous version, since it has more internal memory.

Xperia Arc Beta
i think the xperia arc beta is very good!!! i use it every day and it´s the best rom for my hd2!!!!
I think you need to try by yourself to find out the one for you!
There is no perfect suit for everyone!!
I used Typhoon Cyanogenmod for a looong time, about 6-7 months maybe. Really liked it.
Using Tytung's NexusHD IceCreamSandwich now, because it is Android 4 .
aside from being the best android, which android rom has good battery life? i can only use my nexushd2 v3.2a gingerbread rom for half a day... huhuh
I feel comfortable with typhoon cyanogen mod.
simple, fast, good battery lasting and clean android look.
Then customize as you wish.
I used a lot of launchers before falling back on the standard one from cyanogemod, a modified version of ADW launcher.
Sense builds are too laggy for our HD2
I recommend MIUI (in particular Jan Willems builds) or one of the CM7 builds, Hyperdroid is a good one.
As above: try them all. Unique taste is very important - I like stock-similar rom's so I prefere UrDroid or RCMix3D.
Same like above: Not enought optimised HTC Sense >2.5 is too laggy to our device...
Definitely Nexus HD2. It's only a Beta but you'll love ICS.
Using now pure cyanogen mod7 by tweakos, so far the best nexus base, if you like sense, try mikhei777 froyo.

[Q] ICS(CM9) Vs GB (CM7) on HD2

I currently have an HD2 running CM7 and was considering updating to the Beta of CM9.
I was wondering what the significant improvements of switching were?
Is there a big reduction in battery life vs CM7 and how smooth does it run comparatively?
I guess a lot of people don't use CM9?
I don't think there is any better thing on CM9 over CM7. it's just a working beta with some known bug like camera and flash not fully working,
For me, i've 2 HD2 so i have both CM7 and ICS CM9

I haven't used CM9 for more than an hour but I can safely say that there isn't any real difference in battery life. However, the reason I stopped using it so quickly was the speed. CM9 is excruciatingly slow, after being on a CM7 build. ICS was meant for higher-end devices, and it shows unfortunately. It's usable as a daily ROM in the sense that everything which you really need works, and the speed is fast enough, but I would most certainly not recommend upgrading from CM7 to CM9
CM7 - stable (could work for weeks without rebooting), very fast, most current apps supports it
CM9 - sometimes self-reboots, some apps throws exceptions, a bit laggy (ex. youtube app), no HW-acceleration for now
seems on CM9 works a bit more time at one charge (ex. CM7 = 1daylight, CM9 = 1daylight+night, but not completely sure)
Cm7 better because Cm9 drstupny not all the features that are in the CM7. Hopefully with the advent of official drivers, everything will change
why not to use AOKP not cm9, AOKP is more functional then cm9 for now
for me why im not using ICS anymore (used icecreamtoasty rom)
-scrolling is not very smooth
-laggy multitouch
-no HW(no flash etc)
need just wait for 1/2 year and everything will be ok
I prefer AOKP ICS, this is fast and stable for me

[Q] Today's Androids for HD2

Hello.
I was gone from forum in a couple of weeks because I got used to WP7 on my HD2. But since ICS came out I couldn't just leave it. So I want to ask you how is ICS working on HD2? Is it so slow and laggy like the other Android ROMs for HD2 were some months ago? If yes which other ROM is relatively fast and smooth today? And if something changed since then can I get names of the fastest and smoothest ICS and GB ROMs with their advantages and disadvantages?
Thank you.
okey~
They are allfast n smooth. For example check out hyperdroid or cm7ite for GB or icecream tosti AOSP+ or tytungs cm9 ics rom for ICS. Ics still have a LITTLE zoom prob n flash isnt fully supported yet. But using youtube app for vids works great. Im using ics now for weeks (as my phone for work, ftp vpn works) and no probs here. If you want a rom which works perfectly with full hardware support check GB. In both, ics n gb there isnt any "slow" or lag anymore. You are also able to oc with stock kernel or dorimanx or fikret kernel up to max 1600mhz. Just check it out by yourself.
Question.. how can someone ever get used to wp7 lol? Its trash without any functionality and lag of apps, imo. They made a huge step back with this os.
So check out the android nand rom section

So answering your question:
I also always liked to play with apps and so on but all the Androids I've tried then were slow or were crushing or restarting constantly. So I had to find an OS which would never fail me. WP7 showed to be the best one for it. It's the fastest and smoothest OS I've ever tried which never crushes and is unbelievably intuitive. I've never had any problems with it so I just stayed with it.
Anyway, thank you for your answer. Can we play the best 3D games without lags on ICS? Which ICS ROM would you recommend most?
Sincerelly
okey~
ICS is not there yet, would need full Hardware Acceleration to work before it gets into a stable mode.
If you want a no hassle, fast ROM go give cmhtcleo's CM7 nightlies or Tytung's Nexus HD2 (Gingerbread) or Tyween's Typhoon or Dorimanx's light ROM or Hyperdroid or any of the CM7/ AOSP GB ROM a try.
If you are an advanced user go for Dorimanx's Highend ROM - read up properly though.
Both of these configs will run apps and games pretty slickly for a 1GHz 448 MB (user memory) device, and are pretty stable - my phone has been up for 300 hours without a reboot now.
If you want eye candy, Sense
I think Tytung ROM is very smooth for ICS,,,,,,,but for running games without lag, i prefer you running Gingerbread,,,it's stable
Maybe you can try....
I suggest you flash smokin901's MIUI V4 which is superb.
