I have seen that when ever i search any particular song using the search option while using the default music player on the 4.03 and 4.04 it searches the music but as soon as i select the song the music player crashes. Please confirm the bug.. this bug has been confirmed by another friend using 4.03 on his defy as well..

Hi -
I'm having some problems playing music on my HD2. Recently the music just stops after a few seconds of starting the track, the music will just stop and it will pause, if I press play nothing happens.
I can do a soft reset and the music will start again, but not restart, so exactly the same problem.
Any ideas?

you are right, i can't find it on here, it might be that i got the link off the Vodafone forum, as i remember getting some pointers there. I think the following program does the same thing:

you just need a tiny - free - program that checks the integrity of your MP3 & WMA tags to check for errors, once fixed you won't have any issues with the player stopping. You don't need to do a full reset, like i've read elsewhere here. You can do this to the files on your phone directly, a quick restart and when it then refreshes the music files - like it does when you add more music - it'll be fine.
hi all..i'm using the default "Music HTC" widget as a music player...i have a small problem...each time when i reinstall or hard reset the device, this music player recognize all the audio files from the phone (ringtones, etc)...how can i set it easily to see only the sdcard/music folder?

This music player is not fully functional!!! It does not (as of yet) actually play music from the device. The purpose of the app is to assure complete compatibility between all devices. I will be updating as frequently as I can due to being in college. As I find bugs (either myself or if they have been reported) or enhance various sections of the Music Player. If you have any knowledge of how to read music from the device and list it, please feel free to help out. If there are any bugs or if something doesn't look quite right on your device, let me know so that I can fix it. Tell me what you guys think

Since I don't have enough posts I've decided to ask here
I've tried to play some music on my htc hd2 with hyperdroid. Listening to mp3's was completely fine but while I was listening to songs in flac format I had some crackling/popping issues.
Is it the fault of music player/hyperdroid rom or something else?
Fault of HyperDroid .. In general, (for me) all music do that all the time.

try installing other player that comes with its own codecs like mx player
with bluetooth not sure but try other streaming apps they might work
but it might be a bug too not sure ... go on off-topic and share your view on something and you will pass 10 post mark in no time then ask in rom thread
