[Q] Where are text messages stored? - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I was texting and had a really important conversation. But I flashed something and now my phone won't boot. Is there anyway to retrieve these messages? If not, I guess I'm sorta screwed I'm on SmartBeat Venomous 2.0. Thanks for any and all help in advance!

i don't know where it's stored but i do know it's stored as a SQLite database

If there's a backup you can extract an XML using apps.

It's an attachment, so you won't see it via the xda app.

Looks really cool, but yeah, isnt this a battery-killer?
Any chance this can be ported to legend as well? Tried installing the attachment from this post... Keybord is too big.. Cuts off at "I K M" .. missing O and L ...

It may work that way in cm7 or other roms, but not in a Sense ROM....that's the issue...
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
I don't think anyone's ported that feature to Sense.
I wish someone would enable the other LED notification lights in a Sense ROM. That's what I miss from CM

Trouble receiving text

I recently flashed to miui from shooter e3d, I could not receive any text but could still send and the other person would receive. I thought it was a problem with miui so tried a different version it was a no-good. So I flashed evo on decks gingerbread rom. The problem still occurs.. what can I do to fix this?

Weird. Never experienced the issue before and I have been running gingerbread. Had to switch back 2 my epic as I can't go without receiving text. Will try that after work tonight thanks.

Root .sh method D:<

I cant seem to get rooted with this method?! Simple as hell but for some reason my phone wont perma root. I got visionary r14 select the first and third check boxes then hit temproot. Then (already put the proper root files on root of SD card)
I go to terminal emulator put in the commands then I get the not implemented error then it does it business. I turn off go into recovery as directed to check if s=off but nooooo s=on. Wtf? I'm using the unlockr guide. I already tried the xda one
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
Neither did mine, so use the TRUE PERMAROOT and ULTIMATE S-OFF guide. Uses gfree

Well anyways I have a rooted g2x so no stress an when I'm like that its the best so I have one rooted one I can deal with that an no less and also this phone technically isn't mine so I don't wanna brick it and get in that mess

[SUGGESTIONS] Names for Utility

Hye guys, as you all know, I released my speedy rooting utility a but ago
But "speedy rooting utility" is such a boring name, so I'm opening this thread for name suggestions!
The names I like the most will be voted on, or the single one I like the most will be chosen.
Thanks and have a nice day, remember that all names will be considered!
Reward: Naming creds on the utility thread
Note: ShiftRR is already taken...
Keep it simple S.R.U.

But what you should take into consideration is the fact that it's a Root utility. I understand that you want it to have a cool name, but Stick Shift doesn't sound anything like Root.
