Are these setCPU temps right? - Kindle Fire General

Hey,
Take a look at the screenshot in the attachment. It says 415 degrees celcius. Is that for real or a problem with the sensor?

It's an error of some kind, if your Kindle was that hot it would be a puddle. You can place a SetCPU widget on your home screen and you can see the actual temp.

Probably just a misplaced decimal point. I'm sure it's more likely 41.5 degrees C

Loss of touch screen functinality

I just started noticing that when I apply a little bit of pressure on the bezel of the screen that the touch screen is unresponsive. Anyone else notice this?

I always think this happens but it turns out I'm usually touching the screen some place else at the same time.
I noticed if my xoom is under water it doesn't work that well.

Weird. Mine works fine. Might wanna Exchange it. Could be Factory Defect.
I actually had this happen after having my Xoom in a carrying case. I had to do a hard reboot, but it came back just fine after that.
yes
I noticed this happening in the google books app. All of the sudden pages wouldn't turn, but i could go across the scroll line at the bottom. Had to reset to get it working.

How do you know it stops.going to check my fridge lights now
Haha, sorry. Rushed through the post to watch TV with the wife.
I get on my tablet, use it for a bit, put it down at 5:51pm.
I pick it up again 3 hours later, the clock at the bottom right says 5:51.
I restart the tab and it gives me the correct time: 8.52. I put it down and pick it up 30 minutes later: 8.52.
The clock isn't progressing at all when the screen is off. The clock widget, however progresses just fine.

Eye Strain?

Wondering if anyone else had this problem. After playing games (both tekkin 3 and hill racing) I notice that my vision is blurry and I feel kind of dizzy. This has happened 4+ times so far. What I did is lowered my brightness settings all the way to 0 but I still get the same problem (although I think its less severe).
Anyone please help? I dont want to have to change phones since I love this one and have bought many accessories (palm touchstone chargers, cases, gameklip, ect).
Hehe actually I do experience blury vision after im playing awhile

Thanks going to try that. Is there anyway to increase the range of brightness settings in the kernal so we dont have to run an app? Using CM kernal. Hopefully there is a way.

I've ordered a case from amazon that purports to support this feature. Will report back when it comes in.
Does anyone know how to turn off the lock screen?

Should only need to calibrate it once, and it should be set. If not then there may be issues(?)

iam using thermometer plus app and shows the correct temp.
I'm using the same app but the problem is I have to leave the cell phone away from hands on order to reach almost the actual temperature

I have the same problem,I think it's because of bad design of thermo meter sensor and heat of phone affects it.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
That's obviously the problem I was just checking if I'm the only one having this issue. Thanks aidin_m for your reply

Even if I left my N3 on the table, the temperature reading is still at least 2 deg higher. You can try this app 'weather station', it is able to offset the error.
Too bad I was looking for this sensor turned out invalid

Same here, app issue.
There is no temperatures sensor in note 3
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Phone has temp/humidity sensor like s4 it just needs some time to so accurate measurement because it affected by our heat in pockets/bags etc. It needs some time to show correct values and is pretty accurate.
Also keep in mind not to block the sensor who is in right bottom side, it's a hole and if you use a case it must have also a hole for it.

Strange
Samsung says that the Galaxy Note 3 comes equiped with the following sensors:
Sensors:
Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Gyro, RGB light, Barometer, Proximity, Gesture, Temperature & Humidity, Hall sensor
https://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/mobile/galaxy-note/galaxy-note/SM-N900WZKEBMC-spec
And indeed, my Note 3 has all these sensors.
