Hi guys, first off:
thanks for that great forum which helped me getting started with flashing custom roms / getting root access etc...
When searching for my problem i found out that it is called the "Hello Hello bug".
So basically when anyone calls me and i am answering the phone the first 2 seconds or so my microphone doesnt seem to work (the person on the other side does not hear me).
I thought that this bug would be fixed in the new custom roms. i tried CM 10.1 Jellybro (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015081) but even with this up-to-date rom i am getting the same bug.
As i couldnt find anything to fix this bug i was wondering if you guys have the same problem or if anyone knows how i can get around this issue?!
Best regards,
r3try
I have that problem. I just wait for a second and then say "hello". That seems to be working out pretty well.
Not sure on a legitimate fix though. I think it has to do with the images that the devs have to work on. Hopefully it'll be fixed in an upcoming new patch.
Known issue, will eventually be fixed.

i already tried that before.. didnt change anything for me! (thanks for the tip though)
btw: that image verification is driving me crazy.. im trying to read what the image says for like 15 times now -.- (should those be any words, or are those just random letters? cant believe there is no better solution out there *sigh*)
so, the new update is coming soon (some of you might already have it) and i was wondering if you guys know if the new version fixes either the "hello hello bug" or the bug where you cant hear the caller at all on some calls?
Those bugs are really driving me crazy and i'm really wondering how its possible for a telephone to have so many bugs in the most basic functionality of all - TALKING TO PEOPLE!
any insights / suggestions?

niiiiiiice, now im really looking forward to the new version!
thx for the info
the version 4.2.2 doesnt resolve the hello hello bug for me...
do i have a chance on making it work by changing my kernel or the rom? i dont know what is the most likely cause for this.
I have exactly the same problem, no solution yet.
4.2.2 latest stable CM
same here.. problem still persists, allthough i feel like it happens fewer than before...
Hi, I have the same problem. Is there any way now to solve it? Did appear maybe any solution for that?
Nexus4 Rooted
Hey guys,
I recently got a Google Nexus 4 and it seems to be losing the network connectivity frequently.
It keeps saying No Service / Emergency Calls Only.
I haven't made any changes to the phone yet and its still running on Stock Android (Android 4.2.2)
I read few other threads on this forum and came to know that there are others who are facing this issue
and one of the solutions is to reboot the phone. However, doing this frequently doesn't seem to be feasible.
I'm in roaming. Could that in any ways be affecting the network signals.
Please let me know if there are any other solutions as I would like to avoid using a custom ROM/ CM as of now.
Thanks in advance
It's a known nexus 4 issue. It has been reported. Let's hope google modifies that for newer releases if it's a software issue and non hardware...
Cheers!

So till it gets fixed, rebooting the phone is the only solution ? Would frequent reboots (say every few hours) do any kind of damage to the device ?

Not totally true....
I replaced my antenna section and this solved my problem.
So it can be hardware related for some.....
Others solved it with a new sim card or flashing the latest baseband. But its a known and annoying problem.
I tried everything and the last option was replacing the antenna section. I work in a mobile repair centre so it was no problem for me.

I reckon it could be due to the sim card, cause the card is kinda old (4+ yrs). Don't think its an issue with the antenna since it works fine in the home network. Only while in roaming it keeps flipping a lot.
Will try and get a replacement SIM for this. Can you point me to some tutorials/guides for flashing to the latest baseband.
Some can solve their problem by enabling and disabling airplane mode instead of a full reboot..worth trying.

Have tried that. Isn't as effective as the reboot is. Hope Google fixes this soon
Hey guys
Just curious, could a factory reset help alleviate this issue ?
I have that problem, when I dont haVE roaming enabled. Enable all roaming and it should be good
Recently faced this issue.
And how can this be a hardware problem when not all are facing it? If minority is facing this issue than I doubt it's a hardware fault.
I noticed when I am undervolted past -150 I tend to lose service frequently.

I have that problem, its very random. Lately though everything works fine, voice, ect. My data though is another story. I have the custom APN in, and my data goes from 8-9mb down to less then 1mb, then no connection back to 1-2mb, back to 8-9mb. Bizarre to me. I work in IT, so im on wifi all day every day, its not a huge deal just really annoying. Most of the time though, just using airplane mode fixes any connection problems i have.
I have tried the Airplane Mode. Doesn't help at all.
And even I have noticed that if the signal strength goes beyond -150dBm it does lose the signal. Happens more while in roaming.
No solutions other than reboots so far.
Flash the 27 modem it fixes a lot of this

Hello;
Anyone have suggestions on Roms/Kernels to set this phone up for Skype Only use? We've upgraded our phones and it seems like a waste to let this sit idle. Plus the current stock of Skype Phones are rather crappy.
I had the latest version of Skype. This version has a lot of bugs on my phone. I started calls, i was able to listen to them, but my micro was muted randomly himself.... so i dongraded to Skype 3.2.0 and now, this problem seems to be reduced.... if anyone know how to solve this " bug " it will be great

Just updated to 0517. Am now in the process of installing all my apps. I'm not sure this new hotplug really does what you want it to do. I see temperatures going over 70 degree Celsius on CPU-Z. which previously was not the case. (During the installing of apps TZ_sensor 6 and 7 go to 75-80 degrees Celsius.

WIFI Issue
Hey Guys!
I installed the Nightly form 17th. I connected to my WIFI and get some failure message. WIFI is connected but not to the Internet?!?! My PC is alredy connected. Its wired!
Finally I jumped aboard the CM train for my lovely G901F, too. So far everything works smoothly. Heck, even some problems I had with stock are gone now. Cheers to the dev for making it possible!
The only problem I have is, that the WhatsApp Web QR code scanner doesn't work. In a different forum with a different device I read this is a kernel specific problem, but I have no clue whats the exact cause. So for now I have to wait it seems. Please fix it if you can

Hi, After Each call i make, my oneplus 2 device sends a strange SMS to an unknown number. i only get network notification about how much my sms cost. and it's damn expensive. please is there any inbuilt software i need to disable? this is eating all my call credits with time and i can't figure out what exactly is sending this sms and where exactly it is going.
Immediately After making calls, i see 'Sending' on my screen, then after i get a network confirmation about how much charge on the just sent SMS.
I am on stock firmware, no root and only WhatsApp installed apart from stock google apps. I did several factory resets but problem is still there.
Please Help.
OnePlus2 Device On Oxygen OS 2.2.1 64gb sandstone black with 4gb of ram.
Are you rooted? This is likely caused because you have installed an malicious app....
I make a factory reset and reinsall a new firmware.
Sounds like you rooted your phone with some shady Chinese rooting software. Better download OxygenOS 2.2.1 zip and install TWRP and then format system and data partition and then reflash the OxygenOS zip to get a clean system. If whatever is sending these SMS messages is installed on the system partition, factory restore using settings menu will probably not remove it.
This seems to be some user installed malware

True that is, never heard of such a thing as an SMS trojan. Factory restore and check if it still persist. You could try installing free Eset antivirus and do a scan for viruses and trojans to see if it finds it.
OR.. your a cheating and about to get busted!
Hope your not married!

Problem Solved Some-how
well after sleepless nights of researching and trying to investigate what exactly the issue is, i never got the solution directly, but rather noticed the problem is with oxygen os, i even downgraded to oxygen os 2.0, 2.1xxx till the latest version and the sms problem still existed even without root and any app installed except stock.
Here is what happened : i noticed the problem is within oxygen os itself, as i strongly believed an in-built app is collecting data analysis and sending them to a remote contact, i have no idea what kinda app it is exactly but i solved this problem after rooting my device, installing custom recovery and installing Android Iced Cold Project custom firmware. wowowow!! it was fast, smoother, sweet and a lot of customization. and hell yeah!! no strange sms after each call i make. i tested it over a week and i never experienced what i was experiencing on the stock oxygen os.
Last year, i bought the Gionee Elife E7 and i experienced same issue, it was sending sms to a strange number and it was really consuming my call credits, luckily, on the developers forum, the issue was addressed and an app was pointed to be disabled or removed after rooting and that solved the problem back then. On My Oneplus 2, i was hoping it should be the same case but unfortunately it appears i am the only one experiencing this issue. and well i strongly believe others might be out there experiencing this. i bought my device from indian market, (amazon.in) and i on a holiday in Ghana, and using it on Vodafone Gh mobile network.
as it stands now, i am happy on the AICP custom rom but this is a serious issue on oxygen os and i think it needs to be checked.
Hope this informs...
