UPDATE:: SENSE 4.0 is HERE Thanks to The AMAZING VIRTUOUSROM TEAM
HERE IS THE LINK
DONT FORGET TO THANK
SENSE 4.0 ALPHA
I'm all but certain that no one is working on a port of that yet. In fact, I doubt the MT4G will ever see a Sense 4.0 ROM.
If the dhd gets this I will port it. Assuming I still have glacier when it does.

Currently it's Sense 3.6, Sensation development leaked build. While it's pretty, it's still not polished on Sensation itself. It's compiled with huge amount of logs, and doesn't seem to scale the CPU frequency well. Once it goes official on Sensation - I'm quite sure it'll be ported to DHD and from there it'll easily find its way to MT4G.

ICS for MT4G
I’ve read on other forums MT4G might not get ICS 4.0 due to the camera software isnt compatible with the Mytouch. Devs are constantly trying right now so time will only tell. There are AOSP releases available now although they don’t have the camera

We need to wait for Sense-based rom for ics phones with single-core processor, like HTC One V and then we maybe gets a normal stable rom.
I know patcha has an ics kernel for sense roms and it works on our phone

We need a Sense ICS kernel to even get started. Team Inferno is trying to get in contact with some kernel devs

We ve all noticed that builds made from HD and EVO are of higher resolution than the ones from Desire / Nexus One.
Once you try them (evo/desireHD) you think that you ve got a higher resolution.
All are 480x800, which means the res its the same for the screen, but i think not for the build.
LCD Density is a workaround, but truely ? it sucks when the keyboard becomes tiny and everything else as well.
Is there any way to have CM6 based on DesireHD or EVO or even more builds from EVO instead of Desire as base?
I know that desire's is the most compatible but it sucks if you compare it with HD.
Even in WinMo6.5 graphics looks a bit better.
We have bought a 4.3" display phone because we like having big screens. Not because we are blind
There already a couple of dhd and evo builds, why is that not enough for you? I'm glad we have this variety here, not everyone likes sense.
And no CM is never going to have a sense release. It's not based on desire by the way, CM is its own base.

Hi guys,
I came across this video posted here that shows CyaongenMod 7 RC-0 working on HTC Desire Z. According to the demonstrator in the video, there are no CyanogenMod settings (of course if it's RC-0, you wont have them), Camera not working and also Wi-Fi and GPS act stupid. I believe that its a raw compilation from CM git. What do you all think?
I think he's gonna call it CM 6.2 as 2.3 isn't really groundbreaking. Last update.zip I made from the source it had graphical glitches and no usb, gps, wifi, bluetooth, etc support
Sent from my HTC Vision using Gingerbread
Seconded. My guess is 6.2. Or maybe 6.3, to match up the version numbers..? Haha.
Cyanogen is going to make it 7.0, said so on his twitter
When you compile the gingerbread CM build from git, it says CM 7.0-RC0
i don't see many new things in gingerbread, even cyanogen doesn't use original launcher . Only some touch in gui..., no revolutionary interface...( i still remember google said, no custom launcher again in gingerbread )

Wish the whole video wasn't about showing what's broken though
After all the work done today, it's down to the camcorder and a minor GL glitch that causes Quadrant to crash. The camcorder is broken on every platform except for the Nexus S. I think it's fixable, and I have it partially working.

What are the difference.
The first rumours about gingerbread talked about "great" changes...
I can't hardly "see" any changes.
I am wondering what the real changes are. Does it work faster? Does it has another feel? What does it do with the battery?
I was looking forward to gingerbread, but i am afraid it is going to be dissappointing.
(PS sorry for my ****ty english.)
BTW love the hard work of the cyanogenmod team.

There are some seriously awesome things for developers to use, the biggest are the new native APIs that finally puts Android on par with iPhone for gaming. Other than the dark theme and SIP calling, all the good stuff in G is under the hood.

Hi,
after searching it seems that only pre-gingerbread have proper working camcorders.
I'm guessing camcorder apps won't help?
I believe most gingerbread builds camcorders do work, but not in full 720p, only up to 480p

Yup. Gingerbread Sense is currently under development so the camcorder is not working fully yet. Some have lags too.
So, getting another app from the market won't help?
How about other builds? Should I bother testing them?

If you want to use HTC Sense builds and have a solid video camera, I'd stick with Froyo and Sense 2.0 for now. That said, I think we're all going to have to wait for the Desire Gingerbread source code to be released, before the video and graphical glitches can be completely fixed on our HD2's running GB Sense 2.1 or 3.0. Moreover, it may be a while before the source code hits the street, as the Desire GB update just came out.
Best to all,

Actually, from the NAND and SD GB builds (with or without Sense) that I've tested, the camcorder has always been slower and buggy compared to the HD2 Froyo builds. That said, the Sense builds have a working camcorder as well. Albeit slow and buggy, with or without third party camcorder apps.

Camcorder issues are kernel/system files related not app related. they can't be fixed by installing another app.
Do you guys think that the devs will make a sense 4.0 Rom? We didn't get a sense 3.5 ics Rom, so I'm kinda doubtful we will get this. Also EVO development has slowly been dying off. It should be able to fit better on our evos since HTC said it will be less bloated than previous versions of sense. What do you guys think?

the reason we didnt get ICS sense is because we have no kernel to even have it boot also it would have to many bugs. The evo 3D doesnt even have data working and there rom is alpha i believe it would be to much of a hassle on the OG. The HTC One V is 1ghz single core with 512mb of ram if i recall so it might help us
Hey, that's something we need to wait for and in due time we will get Android 4.0 is such a new thing and it will take HTC even longer to wide spread sense 4.0 out there and it will port trickle down vines from there. So I am sure we are going to see it *fingers crossed* but it won't be for a while *most likely*.
I hope o helped if I did please hit the thanks button,

The hero isn't exactly the fastest phone out there, but it does run 3.5 and for considering it was never a top of the line phone it does run well enough to be a daily Rom, a few force closes here n there but its still fairly stable with everything working .... It just goes to show even with the EVO development winding down it just takes that one special developer to keep our EVO fresh.

So could the XxXPachaXxX Kernel used to put Sense 3.5 over ICS framework on the Desire HD here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1486017
-be useful for getting Sense 3.6 and 4.0 ROMs on the OG EVO?
I assume the single-core parallel isn't everything, but could it be a stepping stone before we have some One V source code?
*n00b over-excited about Portal post he doesn't understand sound*
The other side of it is if you could get a kernel to boot with it, the system folder is something like 650 megs, and our phone has 350. Would take a lot off trimming and moving stuff around.
if i right understend.
What we have at now.
EVO 3D with Sense and ICS - what work with CDMA
HTC ONE V - what have Sense 4.0 with rez 800x480
ics-deck-v8 for EVO 4g - with full support Graphic Acceleration "OpenGL"
So need little wite for bland that and get good room with sense, girls and beer

Lol, have you looked at the endeavor ruu? Even trimming down all bloat and unnecessary apps I don't believe you could have a functional rom with under 400Mb in system app. Using the method shown in the thread I posted above you can resize your system partition. Go check out that thread.

I know about the firerat mods for shifting partitions but you do realize when they port roms they move the visuals and necessary files to our systemui and frameworks res etc and dont push the entire file to our phone especially when the phones are extremely different thats how they boot and why most first ports have bugs especially with image reaizing

Every 3.5 sense rom i've tried so far get laggy and buggy after time. I'm now using ICS mexdroid rom and this is really really really the fastest experienxe so far for me personally.
Try the energy series.
Virtuous Affinity 2.05.0 was a fantastic ROM to use after i debloated it and supercharged it. I used it for about 2 weeks with the HTC Amaze cam mod and that was by far one of my favorite Sense ROMs. I normally stick to AOSP ROMs though because Sense 3.5 is just not meant for our phones. That's the reason why we didn't get an update to Sense 3.* and that's also the reason why our phones won't get an update to ICS, because our phones won't be able to handle Sense 3.6 either.
just try android revolution. one of the best roms ever
I tried revolution, same laggy issues after some time. Even if you reboot every day. Pick an ics rom, they are working very very well.

jup, andromadus beta 3 is the best rom ever
ARHD 7.0.4:
i suggest you: unistall via titanium all unused apps/widgets (personaly i have only the calendar and the weather widgets) then you need swap,v6 supercharger,sd boost. enable swap, set sd cache to 8192, run supercharger(my opinion option13 for rosie and 6 for memory)
bulletproof the com.android.mms. cpu sleep 245 conv. wake 1.2+ ondemand.
you will have all time 100+ mb free not loosing you message(i rec to have the ghostly), playable, smooth. always you will have lag or freezes is a sense 3.5 rom in a 512 rem device. is the best that you can do. i have tried everything.
edit:BUT ALWAYS YOU WILL HAVE THE CAMERA FLASH BAG (flash doesnt open in the same time when the camera captures a picture so the image is black) this is the reason i let the 3.x roms. you cant fix it even install the amaze mod camera even a 3rd party app or different kernel...
Okay to cover this one more time:
Sense 3 and 3.5 roms are not ever going to work well on the G2 series. Dead Stop. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
The G2 series does not have sufficient system horsepower to properly run a Sense rom of this series. You want Sense UI and G2 in the same package? Great. Run Virtuous Sense 2. It is based on the DZ firmware and is very stable.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
