sorry, but no it is not.... see bellow
http://goodereader.com/blog/tablet-slates/samsung-galaxy-tab-620-aka-7-0-plus-launched-in-india/

It is the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.
It is not a Galaxy Tab 7.7.
In the Indian market, the 680 is equivalent to the 7.7.

Anyone can port official JB from Tab2 7.0 to Tab 7.7 ?

So it will be great
The hardware of 7.0 and 7.7 is not the same, it is not easy or possible to do that except samsung
Samsung is making us to switch for tab 7.0 for software smoothness lol

I installed the Nexus 7.7 rom yesterday, and it's as close as you get to stock Android imo.
Why not try that one ?
Its less smoother then ICS.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Plus

Isn't that something? Still, one would think an extra 1GB of RAM (in addition to the 16GB additional storage) and upgraded cameras would have been possible.
As they are releasing a slightly updated 7.7 hopefully it will get jellybean or key lime pie and in turn the original 7.7
My Tab 7.7 already 32GB... and I don't care about camera and LTE thus my question is
1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm vs current Exynos 1.4Ghz dual core, which one is faster ?
Aren't Exynos better than the Qualcomm?

Depends. Since its Qualcomm, I'm betting cyanogenmod support will be good, unlike exynos

7.7plus comes with DVB-T => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oH8Jrj3lnw

Apparently the Exynos benches better than the Qualcomm on Geekbench(1197 versus 912), which is an older chipset that seems to be the same one on the Samsung Galaxy S II. So maybe it's a step down in speed?

(Can't post links yet, since I usually just lurk here) >< Just input the above link
It looks to me like most performance upgrades are marginal at best. I would see no reason to buy this model if you own the previous one.
So what do you guys think the chances of us seeing jellybean released for our beloved tabs..?

I think there are a couple of other thread discussing Jelly Bean for the 7.7. My assumption would be that the 7.7 Plus would almost certainly come with JB.

Not much improvement for 7.7 Plus. I really think a suitable upgrade after 7.7 would be a quadcore tablet.
Don't wait for official Jellybean from Samsung. Just try custom ROM like Paranoid Android.
Lets not forget that the original galaxy note is getting Jellybean, and its exactly the same specs as our beloved Tab 7.7 so
either Samsung might release a jellybean version for us of I dev can possibly port that rom to our tab 7.7!!!!!!!:cyclops
Very happy that they've got a successor because if my 7.7 ever broke I'd be really disappointed to go to a regular LCD screen. The OLED screen is the best quality screen I own!

You have the 2012 version of the Note 10.1. It has nothing in common with the device this forum's dedicated to - the Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Here's your forum...

Hey Barry, I really thank you for replying so quickly. I was totally under the impression that I had bought the newest version. I took that tablet back, and went to BestBuy and bought the tablet I thought I had (minus the 4G Lte). Thanks bro:good:

Galaxy S3 Not Receiving Kitkat Update, what about GRAND

Hey friends check the following link:
http://goo.gl/rUsI2n
Samsung has stated that S3 won't be receiving kitkat update because Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions come equipped with 1GB RAM, which does not allow them to effectively support the platform upgrade.
Duos also comes with 1 GB ram
I don't have any hope of kitkat update for grand ;(

Yeah, Grand wont get kitkat update.
But the reason given is absurd. 1 GB is more than enough to support kitkat n infact kitkat is built to run smoothly even on 512mb ram devices.

Its not because of RAM its coz its old device and Almost 2 years old and according to Google upgrade will given for 18months and already it has got some major upgrades that doesn't mean that grand won't get update we might get since official never said that we won't get update when I contacted them they say they r testing and RAM kitkat can operate at 512mb of RAM without any issue... but still it's SAMSUNG

Resurrection Remix 5.1.1
Updated 09th May 2014
i dont think RAM is the real problem for s3. Cus samsung is coming up soon with galaxy core2 which has 512MB of ram and still runs kitkat.
Lets wait and watch.
But still you can see in the post that they're not upgrading S3 and S3 Mini because of RAM

Samsung Rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 WiFi

Samsung has finally started rolling out the long-awaited Lollipop update for the Wi-Fi-only version of its Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) tablet.
Since this is a major update, expect the download file to weigh in at over 800 MB.
You can also check for the update manually under Settings > About device > Software update > Check for software updates or via KIES after you connect your phone to the PC using the USB data cable.
BEWARE
This is NOT the Note 10.1 2014 forum .
Firmware/ update is not for our product .

not at all. I have both. Completely different specs.
2012: quad core exynos4412(4x cortex-A9), 1280x800 screen.
2014: octa core exynos5420(4x cortex-A15 + 4x cortex-A7), 2560x1600 screen.
Literally double the specs. Even the chipset had different architecture.
The only other thing you could possibly port from, considering the chipset, would be the note 8.0, which isn't supported past 4.4.2, either.
