Can I post requests here? Please point me in the right direction if I'm wrong, but I did a little looking around and couldn't find another thread.
Anyways, I'll pay for someone to make a me a nice slipknot theme for my mobile shell 2.1 on my tmo wing
For those of you who don't know who Slipknot is, it's a band and they're coming out with a new album that I'm really excited for, the way I have this imagined in my mind is to have my icons on the mobile shell, be the band members and logos
It needs to be a dark theme mainly black with red trim text etc..
I have a few specific images i wanted to use (this band wears masks and they change every album)
I'm only going to post the links to these images, as some users might find them offensive, their masks can be a little gruesome

slipknot is awesome i have a theme setup for my wing also by them using htc home i posted a few screen shots on the wing forum black background the icons i just finished up last night for htc home buttons and my s2u is slipknot tribal s logo with a sliding 6(sic)6 as the slider

OoO Megan Fox ftw! She's sexxy but has no idea how to act. All she did in Transformers was wear tight clothes and looked sweaty. Basically that's why everyone went to see it Including me lol. I did like the movie. It was good, but Megan Fox has no idea how to act lol.

She could wear any of those clothes just standing in any scene, doesn't even need to have lines, just stand there looking under the hood !

If you've ever hooked up a video camera up straight to your TV and then pointed it right at the screen, you'd get the same effect I think there's even some technical name for it ("infinite feedback loop" springs to mind, but I'm not sure that's it).
I'm old enough to remember when we didn't have the tech to achieve such cool effects, and had to use two mirrors facing each other
When I was a little fella (yes, sirphunkee, I was "little" once), my grandma had a set of mirrors in the bathroom that were as big as I was.
They were positioned on opposite walls and could produce that effect with soul-shuddering bleakness.
I would stand to once side so that my own reflection disappeared and stare in fascination at the infinite hall that was created.
My big sister caught me one day and told me the story of "Bloody Mary". It was never the same after that. I kept expecting to see a bloody face peeping around the edge of one of the frames and so I rushed from bath to cabinet with hands as blinders from that day on.
I still get shivers sometimes when I notice something similar...

I've not seen it in 12-months of HD2 ownership, outside of the demo
I heard the only way to trigger that animation is to stand on the summit of mont blanc in a 100mph wind, hold your phone in the air and scream "thunder thunder THUNDERCATS" whilst being struck by lightning.....

Same here in Germany. It is really windy, but my HD2 insists that I'm getting soaked rather than blown away.
I assume it is not a problem of the mobile but of Accuweather.

I will be getting my HTC Desire HD very shortly what I would like to know is:
What is the best case and screen protector which are both durable and aesthetically pleasing available in the UK. (I'm quite careless with my phone. My phone also tends to hit the wall at a high velocity when I'm angry lol). I'm currently looking at the "Flexishield Skin Case" or the "Case-Mate Barely There".
What are the best apps available on android.
What tricks and tips do I need to know for the phone to get the most out of it?

If you tend to throw your phone when your angry, perhaps the DHD isn't for you. The screen is not gorilla/reinforced glass.

Seriously though, I don't use a screen protector, just HTC's official leather case. No problems at all.

I have a Galaxy Tab wifi 10.1.
All of the sudden the dreaded newton rings / oil slick on the scree appeared.
Im in th complicated situation of a US device but being in the uk.
Yesterday Samsung UK gave me a service number and told me to send for repair.
Strangely - this morning as I was taken the tab out of the cover - I pressed on a point around the camera area and the rings disappeared!
However I noticed I can make them re-appear just by pressing on the opposite side.
Should I still send in to Samsung? What do you reckon?
Is it a design flaw which I will get with anything they might do - or would you think it is going to get repaired?

It seems as if the tab deform, ever so slightly, in a concave fashion, which has to be rectified to desolve the "oil spill". Personally I think my tab was slightly bent concave by my Galaxy Tab branded "book cover" I bought from a Samsung dealer. (... google SGT 10.1 accessories "book cover")
I now have a permanent solution by simply adding a small piece of rubber to the top middle inside of my "book cover" that force my tab in a slightly convex shape. This immediately remove any "oil spill" and preventing any to form at any normal operating temperature. When I use my tab without the "book cover" the required shape is maintained and "oil spills" does not form, permanently that is.
Because I now know the reason for the "oil spill" / "Newton's ring" I am of the opinion that it is caused by concave deformation and not tempetature, prevent this and there will be no spills.
Is this an issue that Samsung should adress? I think so...*

Sounds silly, but on the other hand it makes sense.

I think it's not a big issue but i still angry with SS, can't believe that . I still got the newton ring but can't return it to SS for RMA.

Does it affect your use of the tab? I mean, can you see it when the tab is turned on? If so, return it. If not, well, kind of up to you whether the hassle is worth it.
If it is big enough yes.
Especially on very light or very dark backgrounds you can see it.
So while reading ebooks, webpages etc. you can tell the rings are there because the colour distorts.
On dark backgrounds, lets say a black homescreen the LCD is kind of more sensetive to touch. If you press to hard on an LCD you get the funny colour thing happening. This happens right underneath the rings with a relatively light press. So when I would flick screens I would get nice plasma effects that were the exact size of my rings. Rest of the screen was not affected.
What you mean top middle? Near to the rear camera?
How thick is the rubber piece?

I used your method to keep the rings from showing up after I did the method below to get rid of it first.

Thanks, got rid of mine. Then did the above quote to keep my Vipertek from causing the ring from coming back. I used a Post It note and folded it like 5times and stuck it in the middle a little bit below the camera.
i am literallt on my fourth tab from pcworld, all suffer from it some worse than others, each time i return it i get 21 days warranty to return to base. Im the only one to have taken it back to my store and he claims if i keep coming back it will be pulled from the shelf. Great device, frustrating fault especially during movies
Had the rings for a few days now, and I really can't figure out what the fuss is, but maybe mine is different. On mine it's a streak across the middle, about 3" by 1". I can see it fine when the tab is off. But when I turn the tab on I can't see it unless I put the tab at a funny angle or really search for it. The distortion is only visible on a fully white screen; even when I'm reading an ebook I can't see it without consciously searching.
I'm not sure I'm going to do anything about it. The GT10 is the best tab on the market, and will be for the foreseeable future. Anyone know what happens when you send it in for repair? Do they send you a refurb, or do they fix the device you sent in (in th U.S.). I have an expensive skin on mine, so I don't want to lose that. Or has anyone gotten a brand-new device?
It isn't a huge deal but it's the principle being it ain't a cheap item.
I returned mine. Got it back in 2.5 Weeks, repaired.

There are only two reasons they'd deny your claim:
1) You purchased a Tab outside its intended country of sale.
2) You bought it from an unauthorized Samsung reseller and/or don't have proper proof of purchase.
This is and has been their global warranty policy for a long time. There are plenty of stories of people buying Samsung devices second hand or off eBay and having their warranty claims denied but no case of anyone meeting Samsung's purchase requirements being denied service. Plenty of SGS2s used in the U.S. but purchased (legitimately) in the UK have been repaired there under warranty.
While I'm sure you're offended by whatever's transpired, repeating the same terse post in multiple threads isn't going to help you. Nor can anyone here.
I returned mine (Samsung Dubai) and got it back next day. They've changed the screen witha new one.
