I can't receive or send files in my omnia 7?
Is this normal?
Yes it doesn't enabled, maybe in the DFT ROM
Thanks. I have to try the dft rom but i think that it doent have the portuguese language.
Bluetooth transfer isn't supported on WP7 at the moment. DFT Rom won't solve that. Will we get that option ever is solely on Microsoft. Maybe it will come with Win8/apollo, we'll see...
Ok, thanks. I dont untherstand microsoft.
hi dear all,
i think it's changing search on google "gupigame" + "wpbots"
(sorry for that i am new)
there is a way to use the blutooth for something else... so just need to know how he did
It will come!!!
windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions/suggestions/1549711-support-bluetooth-file-transfer
On this side, Microsoft collects userfeedback. There are many more or less useless things in here, BUT Microsoft's people put comments on the features that say that some things are "under construction", meaning they might come in Appollo. One of the things that got this comment was Bluetooth file transfer...

Guys,
I need your expert advise on this. I'm a newbie for XDA products, all of 'em. Previously I used two gadgets, mobile phone & PDA. Seeing the new magician form factor really encourage me to buy one of this beside, I think this magician will help me in saving more pockets by combining those 2 gadgets. However, I don't want to take wrong action when buying this product. I need all guidance I can get on this.
Currently, in my country, its more easy to find O2 XDA II Mini. I guess T mobile, i-Mate, and Q-Tek will not be here for the time being, so please XDA Mini users, help me. Here are my questions:
1. What is the ideal ROM versions when I'm about to test the product, I mean all ROMS include the ROM Radio, Ext ROM, etc?
2. Beside package content, what else should I need to check from the product?
3. What kind of programs that suits best with XDA II mini? I'm not really into game. Music & movies are more preferable and also some Personal Management apps (this one is the most essential) - Currently I used Pocket Informant to manage my Tasks & Schedules.
4. I saw a topics mentioning about audio probs, Is it hardware or software issues? Do you think I should ask the seller to open some package and test each of them?....Forget it, they won't let me anyway  !
What else guys? help me please? Oh and don't forget to reccomend best apps and its version that getting along very well with XDA mini OS
Thanks
PS: Pardon me if my english is very unstructured.
Anyone? Please help?
I guess no one want to help me anyway....
Oh well.... anyway thanks for reading this thread guys
If it is easier to get local support for one of the devices where you live - I would suggest you go for that one.

I don't understand question 1.
2. Check that it's working.
3. You can download lots of free programs.
If you don't want audio issues, buy the MDA Compact from T-Mobile Germany. It's unlocked unlike T-Mobile Netherlands.
Thanks Guys for replying
Now I know why no one replies, my english is really bad huh?
Question no. 1, I mean you guys know much about ROM version, I want to know the best version, does anyone can share their XDA mini ROM version?
Question No 2, I know I should check is it working or not, but I mean should I do specific checking apart than try the phone, check the ROM, check the sound, camera, what else. If that's all I need to do than that will be fine.
Question No. 3, I heard that windows 2003 SE don't have high compatibility with regular windows mobile 2003, Could someone shares their experience what will work on XDA and what not? Or is there some apps that I should avoid in installing to a PDA? I'm a newbie, if anything happened to my XDA, I'dont know what to do except send it to service centre
Question No.4, My country only have XDA Mini right now and it comes unlock ( most phones in Indonesia are unlocked) Is the audio issue only happened with MDA or almost all magician?
Thanks for those who want to reply. Also thanks for those who opened this thread, sorry if I'm bothering you guys, I'm just a newbie who seeks for enlightment from experts
Thanks

As far as I know, there's no sound problem with the MDA Compact.
Also, I think the best ROM is the T-Mobile ROM.
If anything goes wrong after installing a program, do a soft reset.
If it's still bad, uninstall the program and do a soft reset.
Well...Windows Live Messenger ...what else?!
I get so many emails and PMs and ICQ pagers...wow.
Slow down people, i like to be popular, but this is like program paparrazzi.
Just kidding.
I decided to host the file so you can grab it online. Otherwise i cannot cope with all the requests.
Its both for WM and Smartphone devices. (as far i know, dont have SPh)

So if the Mods mind, just take it off again and PM me.

Man what a pile of rubbish!
Very large for a PPC app, uses up most of your Today screen, didn't work properly on my Hermes (messenger would never close - soft reset). There was no problem with the installation on a clean device.
I uninstalled it and have got 'Windows Live:33 Unread' messages, stuck on my Today screen. The account is gone but it hasn't cleared it from the Today screen. Tried everything short of hard reset.
Just use the Web version - nothing on your device!
Yepp...i agree...gloggs up your system. I find my hermes slow enough and not responsive as it is.
I had this running 2 times (first time was messed up)on my device, but didnt like it. A pure messenger version without all the live crap is much more useful.
But hey, we dont have to be available in any IM program ALL the time.
I end up with people asking me "i tried to reach you! where were you?" if i choose not to be on or have me phone switched off.
I remember the good old times, where, when someone didnt pick up the phone, he wasnt available and it was ok. Ahhh...so peaceful.
@all:
Even though i agree with esseff and do NOT recommend using it, i posted it, so people can try it without having to wait for me to respond/send.

Good afternoon, dear gurus!
First, thank you very much for this resourse(xda-developers.com), I've already found a lot of useful information here, thanks for supporting it!
I've heard that Windows Mobile has a huge problem with phone networks. People say that WM can turn into "temporary unable to receive calls and sms", although all icons show that everything works fine. Some people changed their devices to non-WM ones because of this problem.
As long as it's well-known WM bug, I assume that it will be fixed in WM7 or if not - it will be absent in Android(I hope). Therefore I have a question, can it be theoretically possible to flash Xperia X1 with a WM7 or Android firmware?
Thank you very much for your answer in advance.

Understood, 50% of this question is clear. How about WM7? Any predictions?
depends on the drivers i guess.
if WM7 jsut runs on our phone theres a pretty good chance that we'll get it. if not, then we either have to hope that SE code drivers or some1 here.
id say it will work. both btw

You are wrong, that is not true. There is no bug like this in any version of WM available. If someone say that then it could be becouse of poor device, or carrier problems, or wrong usage, but this is not a Windows Mobile bug/problem. Everyone with long practice on WM on this forum will tell you that.

I better be wrong, because I've already ordered my Xperia X1 and was shocked when heard that thing... I hope that X1 with its memory amount and processor power will not show this issue.
Thanks for your answer.

Add faulty simcard to that list. You can get really weird problems with a bad sim.
It's the most common problem (heard this from both SE and my serviceprovider)
Greetings,
New to the forum and from what I can tell there is a lot of great information to be had.
I have an issue I was hoping to get some direction on. Our co. just deployed about 10 new Omnia II's and half of them freeze up and the end user has no choice but to pop the battery out to continue.
I have used the search feature but I'm not finding any info. on this issue and how to resolve it. It could be out there and it's possible I'm not plugging in the correct wording.
Does anyone have any info. on this issue and how to resolve?
Thank you in advance.
if they are brandnew, then hard reset them. thats what I would do if it was mine.
yes a hard reset should fix it. Also note that you may want to install a custom rom to get more ram out of the device
hi guys,
I've got a similar problem with my device from the very beginning.
the hard reset is a solution but it's really annoying!!!!!
aspecially when my wife catches me doing that her smile in her face makes me sick..
(she uses the iphone 3gs)
So my device starts hanging after a period which changes between 1-3 months.
I could still not figure it out what happens. I've got the feeling that a service or a file causes to slow down the device extremely.
I tried to find out from the task manager to see which service takes the most resources.
but when the device slows down the task manager hangs aswell when trying to retrieve the information.
I'm using the taskmanager V2.8 from fdcsoft
for some reason I got the feeling it has to do with the messaging services. I've setup a pop3 account from my e-mail which I use frequently. using max 5kb for the attachements etc.
anybody who can share or got any idea about that?
which rom version are you using?
Try an upgrade...
One thing:
Just show your wife, how you remove your battery, how you plug in an Storage-card, how you do REAL multitasking, how you send EVERY FILE YOU WANT via Bluetoot, how you use your phone as USB-Stick, and MUCH MUCH MORE and smile back at her
Regards
Hi,
WM 6.5
PDA: I8000JUIK2
I've upgraded a couple of months ago just for that reason.
the upgrade was released in the Samsung Web site.
Thanks for the other suggestion
Your rom is 8Month old...
Update your phone. You can have WM6.5.3 if you like to! I really love the I8000NXXJEx Roms. There are WM6.5 and WM6.5.3 Roms available.
I´m using JE3 for at least 2months now(since it was released) and I´m absolutely fine with it!
But dump your own Rom before you upgrade...
If you need help just tell me.
Regards
I see,
could be helpful.
But I'm not sure whether I would loss my warranty.
Is that really possible? I mean dumping the ROM
for a long time I was just tracking local forums and so far I was not satisfied with the knowledge of the people.
Is there a way to returen to my org. ROM if I need. that means the local service will not realize that?
IT IS POSSIBLE! Its really easy!
I think in this thread you will find everything you need! If you don´t, PM me, and I will upload it for you, but its not my application so all credits go to somone else!
You get your original Rom als .nb0 file. Flash it back with octans and everything ist as it has been.
Another thing is: you can watch whether there are updated ROMs for your Country available(perhaps via NPS or Kies).
Hi all have had my HD2 for 3 months now and have all the usual issues and it has been back to Vodafone a few times I dont really want to get rid of it as it is perfect size etc for vids and calendar sms for and an old codger like me for work with bad eyesight..
Heres the question I am not brain of britain at this sort of thing and want to know if there is an Android .exe I can run from my micro sd card that has all the upgraded stuff you need for a stable phone........I can add apps and that sort of thing but my technical knowledge is somewhat vague....I dont understand what Froyo is and your terms for radio this that and the other and could be surfing on here for days and not understand much....
I understand the dual boot bit as in the Windows operating system ( or not as the case is )
and Android effectively runs over the top of it but thats as far as I can get...
Any help would be gratefully received..
Regards Lee F
ps has anyone else had their phone dial out evertime you play a track on Nitro?....I came back from France to find each time I changed a song it dialed hope for 10 seconds and had a huge bill of .75p connection charge some 90 odd times......
what ....when ...how...im confused
Android is in fact a whole other system compared to Windows Mobile, and as of now, it isn't completely finished/'out of beta' yet. It is still less stable than Windows Mobile is on your device.
What I do suggest you to do is take a look at this thread, and get started with HSPL'ing your phone, so you can install a custom ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
The phone dialing out is one thing it shouldn't be doing for sure.
Actually sounds like a trojan horse.
Did you change the song with your wired headset? Because it can be used to dial the last dialed number that could be your problem. Also some earphones/speakers without a button can sometimes initiate it when you move the plug around....

Well, that's no way to treat a fellow! Y'ought to explain to 'im.
Android on the HD2 is not finished yet (and will always require things like flashing or other not noob safe things) and has therefore some bugs, problems and limitations. For someone who isn't that good with technical things and hasn't read/understood all those guides it could cause some problems and misunderstandings etc. I can imagine someone sending in his HD2 for repair because his ambient light sensor doesn't work in Android...
...or at least opening some threads here and asking tons of dumb questions that could be easily answered by reading the stickies or using the search.

There is no such .exe file. To Run Android you only need to run a .exe and a few files with it. But without a suitable Radio (the part of you operating system that is responsible for Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and everything else that sends/receives data over the air), you will get problems. But finding and updating a suitable Radio sadly isn't as easy as running a .exe
But there are many guides on it which should help you, in case you still want to do it.
Buddy,
Right at the top of the forum here there are sticky threads that contain all the information you need to get HD2 running android. Please post you're questions there instead of opening a new thread.
