hello all and hope someone can help me, my problem is wanting to load a rom xperia 2.3.5 x10 with gingerbread with xrecovey root and installed, choose the rom from the restore I get the error E: can not mount / dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or/dev/block/mmcblk0) (device or resource busy)
can not mount / sdcard. I've done all the steps to the right and backwards and nothing works for me. thanks

e: can't mount CACHE: recovery / log
e: can't open CACHE : recovery / log
e: can't mount /dev / block / innersd0p5
.. When I start the phone it will go to block on StreakDroid Image...

The internal memory on your phone is broken. You need to send your phone off to be repaired.

I tried the following and it worked. Remove back cover, remove battery, blow with your lips pressed to the left of where the sim/external sd card is placed two or three times vigorously. It seems this might work because the internal SD card is placed under the plastic right below where I was blowing and it might "reset" the contacts by blowing away any dust that might have blocked . It is not very scientific but it surely beats having to open the whole device to change or clean the internal SD card. Let me know it works ( I battled several hours to come up with this solution)
Opening the phone isn't terribly hard, but getting the top and bottoms to stick after is hard. Just call dell and theyll have one to you in two days if you are in the US.
I am also desperate not to do, I've tried everything and I can not reset the dell streak remains in the dell logo, I tested and nothing multirecovery both as ClockworkMod streak mode.
My problem was that the screen changes and then we did not want to reboot, also gives me this message when I start ClockworkMod:

I also tried to rapairtool and nothing seems that if you add everything but does not finish starting.

The solution was to take it with the technician, opened it and found a short in the internal memory so it would not start, the safest thing is you have to take it to repair, the system is not the problem is internal memory, my dell streak works great, and I hope it serves you something. Take it to repair ok there is no other solution. A greeting and that everything goes well.
Hi All. about 3 days trying to install to wildfire rom. gold card I did. I've downloaded too many RUU says all incorrect or customer ID error.

I try to install this file gives error (Status 7)
trying to install custom roms e: can not open / sdcard / update.zip (No such file or directory) error. Before i install custom roms, replace the device's 512 MB card to with 4 GB card its a real problem. Applanet installed. i downloaded rom manager to try with it, package installer says the problem occurred while parsing package device asking adjust time after every boot, When I try to install anything from memory card, with clockwork recovery gives error (Status 0), Pls help.

I know that dies but my menthal is that what was started it must also End so I'm come alive that. I have some free time before I'll go to university so I tried to boot it and I was made some test ports of Android For Ubuntu Phone. I was based my work on that therard http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38463674&postcount=1 also In my ports I used rom from that theard, with 3.0.x, one with modified some bin's with 2.6.x gilbert32 kernel and one with walter79's aokp ION also 3.0.x kernel It partially boot but I have black screen, one stucks on Kernel bootlogo. I'm sharing that ports because together we can make it works one beautiful day
System install on nand with data on ext but first you need install there ubuntu fs in ubuntu folder. After that you need to install rom, and walters79's last initrd patcher

I have also 2 ports for Sensation X but I need to correct updater-script before I'll share it. But for black screen I think the reason is in config's official packages what we must install on sd-ext, and ubuntu-chroot.sh should be in init.d I think

first of all thank you for trying to continue this project. I tried port this before, when it boots, the boot stuck in black screen and red square in the center I can move it anywhere by touch.
I edited some thing in tytung's kernel and LaidbackNikez's UT rom .
I will post my initrd soon when I find it, may be it helps you.

Just read all theard, what I added link of source rom, what I used. They're also had a problem with black screen and they're found a solution of this problem I'll try their method on my Leo If it will not work I'll try my way and then I'll post resaults

Compiling is easy but Debugging is twice harder so may Take Some time ... at the 2nd part I should tell both you that I think the rootfs can be more Suitable when MAGLDR boots it ( Like any other rootfs.img s like Debian ,... Because MAGLDR has DMESG support easy to reach that makes it a better idea for getting rid of the Problems ) and maybe using that's Source code and building the compatible one for our HD2 ( Recompiling UbuntuPhone ) can make it better and more suitable than using those Patches and etc. ... Would it be better to use the latest stable image (current) from here http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch/daily-preinstalled/ rather than from the link in LaidbackNikez post? Those are preview images afaik.
Thanks for link Robbie it will be helpful for all. I was tried all of that images but the problem isn't here. The problem is that it must load ubuntu_chroot what ist in bin folder when kernel loads. that script also need modify to load from sd-ext. Is there second way, namely Rom + Ubuntu installed to NativeSD. I'will try to edit that script and add startup for that directly to init.d in rom.

Got some news. Downloaded last saucy preinstalled system and then I modified ubuntu_deploy.sh from that zip to deploy FS on /data (sd-ext ext4 with filesystem) and then opened it via gscript but fist it is nessecary to add some files to system partition what can be found on my d-h.st "ubuntu_libs.zip" (I have not enought posts to add links but in a first post this theard are links to my d-h.st) and also you need to rename extracted *.tar.gz to ubuntu-rootfs.tar.gz and copy it to /sdcard
Logcat output (only that message shows)

Dear friend ... Congrats ... made a good progress :good: ... I think you'd better try a better Base ... Gilbert32's ROM is great but it's not stable ... I recommend you to use Chauthien's CM11 as the base ... It's as lite as possible and also really stable ... also you can use NexusHD2 CM9 It gives better performanc but it may be a bit harder because it's older than CM11 ... Good Luck

I tested Chauthien's CM11 when it realesed v1 and v2 and It was not more stable for my HD2 than Gilbert32's KK Ressurection, I do not know why. Yes you have right CM9 is too old to use as base for Ubuntu Touch. I will try to use CM10.1 or CM10.2 as base with 3.0.x Kernel and then share next resaults. I added libs, modified script, and bin's to my d-h.st so anyone can try it on other rom's (link to my d-h.st in a first post).

As the title says, i want to mount a networkpath to my nexus 10 for using "normal" musicplayer like Mort player to play the music stored in the network.
I searched a little around but only found solutions for JB. (Cifs and stuff)
I already tried myself to mount it with Mount manager from the playstore but always get a "failed to mount"
I am using an usb-stick on my Router (Asus RT-N56U). I have access to it with my fileexplorer.
Used ROM and kernel are shown in my signature.
Hopefully someone can give me a hint.

An user in our german forum found out, that for the moment mounting seems only to work with thunderkat-kernel. But the folder is empty when trying to access. Maybe a problem with the correct rights.
Still in hope someone can help solving this problem.
I'm attempting to edit /system/etc/permissions/handheld_core_hardware.xml and upon trying to save I get an error "read-only filesystem"...
I'm rooted, s-off, with twrp.... running bad boys rom...
I've attempted to mount /system as rw using twrp...still get the error...
I've attempted using terminal/busybox to mount as rw...
I'm at a loss at this point...but I also feel like I'm fairly novice at this so maybe there's something I'm missing...
(for the record I'm trying to trick Google Daydream into running....I was able to on my S7 before switching to the bolt....if I can get this figured out and everything works I'll make up a guide to get daydream working on the bolt)
I finally got it working and GOT DAYDREAM HOME WORKING 100%...Used an old S4 as the controller and a modified samsung gear VR as the headset!

I was wondering how you mounted your Bolt RW. I have also tried all of the different things you have listed trying to mount this puppy, but I have rolled 7's on all of it. Which leads me here and your post. Please tell me you figured it out and hook me up with the process. Thanks.
