[Q] [email protected] Playback lag fix on CM7/Miui? - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! My Defy is running WajkIUI (MIUI). It played [email protected] lag no matter bitrate is high or low. But it played [email protected] quite smooth regardless bitrate. but if I interrupt my device by touching the screen or whatever, the playback will become a litte lag then continue to playback smoothly.
Does it happens on other rom like CM7/Official Gingerbread Rom with ginger bread kernel.
Is there any fix for this. Thanks in advance!

Wizard + A2DP + QVGA Video = Slow

Hi ho
Yesterday I upgraded to the Mr. Clean latest ROM. (Nice ROM, fast boot time)
To celebrate my new A2DP goodness I bought a Blueant X5 headset which is offered by a company out of Melbourne, Australia where I live: http://www.blueant.com.au/x5_stereo_bluetooth_headset_headphones_a2dp.htm
I got it all paired and working fine, however when I try to play video in TCPMP which I encoded in PocketDivxEncoder, it's drops frames everywhere and the audio is out of sync. Benchmark shows like 17fps.
If I overclock using OmapClock to 216mhz (the highest I can go and stay stable) then it does improve the video somewhat.
I've also noticed it lags if you multitask while playing an mp3. I haven't tried any games yet but it would really suck if they slowdown too. I can live with the lag when playing audio, but not being able to watch video sort of defeats the purpose of getting headsets for me.
Does anyone know is this just a limitation of the KJAM's speed and that's it, or is there any way I can get the video to work properly, maybe there is a TCPMP expert who can give me some settings to make it run faster, because besides from the slowness I really love these headsets and would hate to have to return them.
Thanks
In my Case, I didn't get any lag by watching Video or hearing music files, I didn't OCed my device, I use the same program (TCPMP) to watch the video, and the same encoder program as you. I don't do anything special when I encode my videos, just the button and done.
It looks like you may have some applications running in your devic which cause this lags and make it runs slow. I am sorry if I wasn't that much help, but I thought maybe my post will give you a light.
BTW my device is Qtek 9100 , and I use the last Qtek Rom.
be careful what videos you try and play...attach the video so we can test the same thing. Make sure it's a low bitrate and QVGA resolution of course.

video issues with downloaded media zpad rom

Hi all, just installed the latest zpad rom and so far it seems extremely stable and blazing fast. Streaming media plays very well, even HD plays smoothly, but I can't seem to play any videos that I download! No errors present, just no video output. Audio plays smoothly in the background but the screen is just black. I had a similar problem with a couple previous roms but they would give load errors and no audio at all. Any insight would be appreciated!

2.3.4 audio playback issue??

My atrix is ATT version, and everal days ago I updated to 2.3.4 by installing Cherryblur 1.4d, then changed to Alien #2.
Today I noticed the phone having audio playback issues: when playing music, it sometimes stutters, especially during locking/unlocking screen.
I have tried 2 different audio players: stock and Meridian player, but both of them have this issue. Is is common? Do you guys have such problem?
Yes I've noticed this as well. To me, it seems to be whenever the OS is *doing something*. So if I'm loading another app, for example, it will give a little "ffvvtttzzzfffttt" in the playback.
That being said, I haven't noticed it doing it anymore... Seems to have stopped by itself...

[Q] Q: HD Video Playback very fast

Hi. Im running the newest virtuousXoom rom and experiencing odd playback issues with any video player i use on a 720p video file.
Mx Player for example plays the video EXTREMELY fast in hardware mode. I had though this may have had something to do with my cpu speed so clocked the tablet down. This changed nothing.
However if i OC to 1600mhz the video and audio are fine, but only in software mode. There maybe a very slight shudder in video.
Any clock setting below that renders the video unplayable.
I got this tablet for use when i go over seas in the next couple of weeks with hopes of being able to watch my movie collection without needing to convert every movie.
The hardware seems very capable so i can only guess at this point maybe its software related? Hell who knows i could be thirty different kinds of wrong.
The main question is, is there any program that will play these video files correctly?
TIA for any info anyone can give me.
mobo player. It plays all videos and content with a soft decode option.
bsplayer, and mirage beta worked best for me...
the two players that seem to work best for me are bsplayer and mirage beta.. good luck tho, it can be hit and miss with mkv and mp4..most straight avi files work fine though on most players. mobo did not impress me, as one person suggested.. best luck
