[Q] Defy doesn't boot

Hi all,
i had installed cyanogen mod on my defy and all was perfect.
After that i tried to install defy_recovery-1218-0326-signed.apk and it says that was installed successfully.
I tried to boot in recovery mode and when i power up the phone it stays on the initial logo forever (cyanogen mod 7..).
I tried to flash my version founded here sbf.droid-developers org but it make the same things on boot...
What should I do?
Please help me, i bought that phone yesterday!

yeah, i tried it now, i didn't know this method and it works...
But sorry man, what version should i install? Now I have 2.3.6 (i don't know why, it's the only version that work that i tried) but i would like to install Cyanogen Mod V7...

So you flashed and 2.3.6 sbf? Do you have a Defy+ or a normal defy?
If you have a normal defy and you have a green lense, you can't use your camera anymore (kernel limitation) even not on CM.
To install CM7, download a Defy+ nightly (even if you have a normal defy, cause you are on defy+ kernal) form here: http://www.defy-cm.net/
You must not use defy_recovery-1218-0326-signed.apk any more.
Use 2nd init form: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212
When you have installed 2nd init: reboot, wait for blue led, press volume up,go to custom recovery, install the zip downloaded earlier.

But to install 2ndInit i have to get the root permission, how can i do it? With oneClick it doesn't work....

RE-EDIT: I had to press power down button, not up...

I did the same mistake on my Moto defy ... did you get it to boot back up and if so how ? Ty to whom ever helps

Yeah it doesn't get past the HTC screen when I try to boot it, I've tried everything, it unrooted and stock right now. I can't use adb but I can use fastboot, I've tried the T-Mobile updates and ruu but nothing helps. I don't know what else to try.

what i have done before
i installed cyanogenmod mod 7 for my defy
After it my phone stuck at the circle logo of cyanagenmod.
Then i flash it using Froyo sbf using rsdlite
Should i lost my phone forever ???
or should i send it to motorola care center

Hey dont worry flash 2.2.2 stock sbf with rsd lite and ur phone will work normally btw r u installed 2ndinit Boot?

When i Try to flash it
.Defy is connected to PC i heard connect sound
but on my phone there is no display.
~No More Boot Loader
~No Boot Menu
~No logo

did you entered in bootloader mode if yes it will show boot loader version and battery ok ..etc etc then connect to the pc and then flash it with rsd lite

First enter into stock recovery, power + volume down till you get into Android with '!'. Then volume up + volume down, it can simply be done by pressing in the middle. Then wipe cache/data factory reset.
Reboot now and immediately press volume up, this would go to boot leader mode. open rsdlite and open the sbf you went flash, now connect USB cable, you should see 'connected' in rsdlite, just click on 'start'.wait till the process completes and say 'pass' in rsdlite. you're phone will be restarted by the rsdlite in the last stages, that itself indicates that flash is successful.
For list of sbfs see the sticky thread (guess the first one) from Walter79 on the defy development section and get the appropriate sbf, be careful that you don't flash which can't be downloadable.

But Problem on my Phone is that i Have CM7 MOD earlier and stuck at CM7 Circle Logo
then i flashed it (sbf froyo) Now Phone Dead..
Is any another Way to do it Please Help me ...

hi had similar problem but rsd lite connected even though not showing boot loader but caught up with software update...problem i think ive got now i cant install 2nd init to go through zip install as superuser wont grant permission...i think i have downgraded too far but hoping this is not the problem..i have 2nd int and super user on sd card and pc is recognizing it...had a cm9 nightly but quarx came up with a new one after ..
can i get back on track to cm9 ..or is there a process of eclair to froyo to gb to ics....
help appreciated mrs hasnt spoke to me for 2 days while im trying to sort it but hey every cloud....

I don't mean to sound harsh but I think you should take some time and read through the threads. All of your questions have been addressed numerous times. There is a list of several froyo roms to flash.

i have Tried to Flash with Froyo New Firmware
but it fail again my phone dead but if i tried with 2.1 Andro It Works Again
I cant Able to Install Google Apps on my Mobile too..

2.2.2 Service Flashes for india from that sbf page (no :44)(JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-33-1) (google it *i cant post links)

Thanks For Reply i tried it But it wont start...
Again No Boot logo , Boot loader nothing display on screen..
But If i Flash with 2.1 then my mob works again.
now i m Stuck on Moto 2.1 Any idea to move on Froyo ??

If ur phone is still under warranty
Flash the stock and take it to service center.

Dude due to rooting the warranty is void...So if you know any other sbf file for Indian Defy then plz give me.that link...I m still using 2.1 and the phone memory is only 45mb free after flashing that sbf...

[Q] Bricked phones droidx please help

So i bricked my friends droid x and its currently stuck in bootloader.

Service Req'd
Battery OK
ok to Program
Transfer mode: USB
Ive been googling around and i havent seen anything. I wanted to know if there is anything.

There is a very easy way to fix it, but before I tell you, I need to know how this happened?
(Eg. installing an OTA update)

Have u tried to sbf?

This is were I would get my proper sbf and use Linux to reflash the phone as stock. Then data reset it. Reboot and start over. You'll get it. If IT's boot up problem occurs after reboot from flash then try different from that one is not working for you or directions not proper

Like mike said, sbf time. Its pretty easy, just download the Motorola drivers, SBF file, and RSD Lite. Can be done on windows or linux.
I would recommend using the .605 sbf file rather then .621, as .621 can't be easily rooted or sfb'd.

[Q] Motorola defy death or totally bricked?

Need help, I bricked my Defy Green lense.
Some how after trying to flash a miui rom, it went to bootloader after I pressed the "reboot device now" in the clockworkmod recovery. So I tried to flash my sbf, but in the reboot, the phone just turned off, an haven't been able to turn it on, I already tried the Mc Giver method to charge the phone, (as it worked before) but the phone does nothing,
Any help would be thanked...

I was flashing the original SBF with RSD Lite, right after, during the reboot, it turned it self off, an from then on, I haven't been able to Even Turn It On, it shows no activity what so ever...

Thanks but I can't even get it to the bootloader screen, that's why I thought it didn't have battery and tried to charge it the normal way, an since nothing happened, I tried the McGiver way an it didn't work either...

Remove 2nd init

I need to get my defy back to stuck cause I'm having issues with the camera (it is always getting an error «cannot connect to camera») and I need to have it replace.
I restored nandroid of my original stock rom, removed 2nd init, unroot the device, I even factory reset and format my sd card.
Thing is when I turn the phone on, led blinks blue and if press volume down it goes to but menu, is there any option to remove that as well?
Can't flash full sbf because non of them is the same as my stuck rom and if they notice anything and they always check everything, I won't get the phone replace.

Is there any other way to fix that? because my usb port is broken so I cant flash an sbf :/

In Bootmenu you have a option to remove it. Once you entered the bootmenu on blue led, goto System and choose to uninstall BootMenu.
