I am using WWE community rom 1.7 based on Eclair 2.1.... Works ok except for some bugs....
deatils are:
baseband version: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Kernel version: 2.6.29-8d063048
Biuld #: 20091203 Hero_generic_WWE #
Software version: Hero21-community-1.7
The biggest bug is that gmail (not mail app) app updates my emails like 6-10 hours later ( i do manual updates, tried everything, did not work)
Now downloading villian 2.1 version 3.4. Ive heard its the best so far...
The one that you posted link to... whats the version, and would i be able to do it on my WWE version or not???
PS: sorry i am newbie (if i asked some stupid question, pls help)

[Q] How can I install Froyo on the Wildfire?

i just bought htc wildfire and i have 2.1 android...how can i instal 2.2 android(froyo)

At current there are NO 100% stable 2.2 (froyo) ROM's avalible. (Apart from the shipped chinese ROM)

Hi,
Im porting a MIUI FRG83 rom to HD2.
I followed those steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8867035&postcount=546
I used files from HD2froyov3 and hastarin r8.
Its working but I have performance issue: in home/menu it stutters a bit when scrolling. So I downloaded fps2d, and saw the poor performance: avg fps: 10.
I tried with another miui build for hd2, made with the same miui base and kernel, and there is no stutter and with fps2d the avg fps is ~50.
(also tried logcat on the build saw no error)
I wonder if anyone can help me figure out what is making the performance being poor ?
I would really appreciate any help, thanks a lot.

Th build is based on Miui for nexus one, I got the zip to update to 2.2.1 FRG83 but I dont know how to upgrade the version.
I tried to copy all files over but it replaces miui with stock froyo (and its slow).
Im porting this to HD2, so im wondering how to update an sdcard build for HD2.

You cannot update one build, MIUI, by copying over another set of files and expect it to work ... Its not how its done ... If MIUI do not use 2.2.1 as a base then you are stuck with whatever they provide.

sorry for being daft here but which one is more faster and reliable
I have o2 locked factory installed 1.6 21 baseband
Recently upgraded to official 2.2 3.9-eu baseband via untoch steve method
i havent add tweeks from fard for performance improvement
now the big questions is should i be using
DJ Steve v1.46 ( can i upgrade it to 1.46 or i have to stick with 1.12 as flashing LED in mismatch baseband)?
or should i let it run on 2.2 309eu baseband and add fard tweeks?
so please if someone can clear this confussion that which is more faster and bug free
just to add up on that i do need wifi teethering

Stock Gingerbread Rom 2.3.2 MDJ Kernal 10.4 root problems

Hi, i am currently running "[DISCONTINUED] Stock Gingerbread Rom 2.3.2 MDJ Kernal 10.4 [DISCONTINUED]" ROM made by xboarder56 on my HD2 (2.1 version)
The main thread got closed and i wasn't able to find an answer so i made this thread.
I love the ROM and everythings runs fine except that i can't acquire full root access (discussed in the main thread) and logging wont work (logcat, log commandos in ADB etc..)
In the ( Main Thread it was a fix for this problem (the root problem) for v1.9. So my question is: Has anyone got a fix for this for the v2.1?

And thanks Xboarder56 for a great ROM, i hope you will continue developing this ROM now that "iamgpc" has discontinued his. We really need a good stock Gingerbread ROM out here
EDIT: I am running the DFT version BTW.
