Advice about ROMs on italian P4350

Hallo, I am the (fortunate ?) owner of an italian P4350 (WM5 stock, unblemished).
While marvelling at the multitude of options for modding, I don't fully understand the details of flashing, and I worry that things may not go as expected if I try to use any random cooked ROM.
Hence my query: are there any fellow italian P4350 users who have gone successfully through all the paces and which wouldn't mind to maybe give me 5 minutes over an IM or via PMs to compare software versions and clear some doubts ?

Ciao, sono il (fortunato ?) possessore di un P4350 italiano (comprato su ciao.it, con WM5).
Se da una parte trovo molto interessante la possibilità di provare mod e ROM differenti, dall'altra mi preoccupo che qualcosa vada storto (un prerequisito mancato, una versione del software inadeguata, o che so io, non sarebbe la prima volta che uso software/hardware localizzato IT che poi si rivela incompatibile con alcune funzioni disponibili world-wide).
Da qui il quesito: c'è qualche anima pia che abbia già flashato con successo e che potrebbe dedicarmi 5 minuti su un IM o via PM per chiarire qualche dubbio ?

In your last line you highlight in a way what my worries are, viz, that htc italy may use "something" (I have no idea what, or I wouldn't worry) different in the italian herald from its overseas counterpart. I am very probably wasting my Worry Points, but you never know. Hence my quest for someone with the same exact phone who's already undergone all the flashing.
About italian roms, there's the italian WM6 rom on the htc site.

hi, I'm looking for a performance ROM for my Polaris...
I use a lot the mail,
sometimes gps (two type of uses, one for street navigation, other for track mountain trails),
browser
facebook
music
so, at the moment i use rom (Mago manila 2d 3.20.408.8 Finale 3G) take into an italian forum (http://www.mobilehtc.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=2190)
i wanna try another one, just give me some advice.

i just asked to all together which is the best (for you) rom in italian...

at the moment use this one:

but exist a sistem to translate a rom? for my phone the best will be my local dialet...

Help Please (probably bad flash ROM)

please help .. I'm not a noob, but this time I've probably done damage.
I installed a ROM on my HD2, probably without the radio accurate (I think I installed and I'd rather have another), once installed on the ROM cell has successfully started, I sent SMS, made phone calls, then I Google Maps 4.0 installed in phone memory I did a soft reset and now it gets stuck with the writing htc green on a white background and not charged. I do not know what to do can you help me? the phone is not synchronized so I can not do anything to flash new ROM or radio. Help please

ho installato una ROM nel mio HD2, probabilmente senza la RADIO esatta (credevo di averla installata ed invece ne avevo installata un'altra), una volta installata la ROM il cellulare si è avviato correttamente, ho mandato SMS che, fatto telefonate, dopo ho installato Google Maps 4.0 nella memoria del telefono ho fatto un soft-reset e adesso mi resta bloccato con la scritta htc verde su sfondo bianco e non carica. non so che fare mi potete aiutare?il cellulare non si sincronizza quindi non posso fare niente per flashare nuove ROM o RADIO. 1] Have you tried a hard reset? It is recommended that you hard reset after installing a new ROM.
2] You can load a new ROM via the MicroSD card so you don't have to have it sync'd. Have a look at the ROM upgrade section

Yes i reset memory card too because i had english rom and i install italian rom....
i try with MicroSD Card now...

everything ok .. I went into boot load and I flashed the new radio ...

Camera in android works badly ?

Hello,
the camera in android works very bad.
1. he draws foto' s reversed
2. there too much blue colour sits in the camera (blauw is red?)
(on winmo the camera works perfectly)
do you have this also?

These are known problems. Please read the posts in the developer section for more information. There isn't a fix for it yet.

Mine is also Italian HTC HD Mini, but I haven't problem of Camera.
The Only Problem I have is the Android is too slow and boots Android about 33 Minutes

you can't download anything from market at the moment as sd card is not write enabled...

03/08 - UPDATE: if you want 3G, DON'T INSTALL ICS. 3G lib are not included so no 3G in anyway. Waiting for ASUS ICS UPDATE for TF101G
09/17 - UPDATE:Roach2010 and gnufabio have developped an apk that enable Mobile Network settings (for 3G dongle). Their APK change the bootloader. (Read more and download)
So maybe this thread has no purpose except for issues and for the list of compatible dongles. If you have a dongle which work and which is not in the list.....

Do not use this patch!!
It can make your a500 to brick.

Using this patch only thing i can do is to CONFIRM A500 BRICKED !!!!!!!!!
Had to restore it via downloadMOD, loosing of course all of the data !!!!!
So DO NOT USE IT !!!!!!

It's patch for TF101 only. Using it will change bootloader.

I guess you guys completely ignored the part where it clearly says your bootloader will be replaced...
You could try editing the zip to remove the bootloader... It's not that hard to do, really...

Awww.... you know how it is. Place a link to a file, and everybody ignores any written instructions or warnings or anything. Hey, if it shows up in the forums, it must be ok to use
Especially the part in the beginning of the post (in bold letters mind you);

I can see where one might confuse TF101 with A500.....

Guess I should have read, but now I know how to fix it as well sort of a loose win sutiation if you ask me..

Because, it's the same fix and already are posted. Timmy Deans tool. Or an EUU. APX mode or a PBxxx, still doesn't matter. Because;
Still need the original UID number, and if the people didn't do a CWM or RA recovery backup before flashing an ICS Rom, and then before flashing this dongle mod, well, they are pretty much out of luck.

And you I tried to help in all those PM's you sent me. And I tried all possible ways to help you. But you didn't make a recovery backup before you flashed ICS. This is the basic rule everybody must always do before installing ANY rom. And I sent you all possible ways to get your UID.
So please, do not ask me for anymore help. I told you to turn it in for warranty repair.
