[Q] Front face camera problem

Hello guys,
So my sisters Galaxy s got a problem with the front face camera (see attached picture)

I have no clue what's wrong, software or hardware?

This is because of a modded rom or kernel. I had this with early custom GB kernels. Flashing the stock kernel or a custom kernel that has a working front cam (should be mentioned in the features) should fix this.

it happened to me to..i had this problem too,please go to darkys website and find out the stock camera there,they have fix this prob there,no worries..

.. and can I upgrade to 2.3.4 somehow?
Tried to find a guide how to understand the version of a S2 but cant find anything useful. Hope someone here can help. Thx.

yes, you can upgrade an android 2.3.4
last original rom is KH3 2.3.4

So what GS2 version do I got? KF3? or KE7?.. dont really understand how to make out the verison.

KF3 rom with KE7 modem.

How to flash without problems

Hi, My phone has the whole blinking 3 red led semi brick thing, I read the thread and got it fully working and finally charging, perfectly ran for one whole day while playing Bowman with some of my friends in class and also Pokemon, now I rooted it again and switched my BB to the newest bb and kernel then I went to the FXP kernel and then flashed cm7 ... but after flashing it told me my battery was 10 percent When before flashing i had about 60... Then It wouldn't charge anymore and would die out quick and Now I am at the three red LED flashing again.. I'm going to flash 2.1 soon, But I really need answers ASAP ; How can I flash CM without the battery F****** up on my like the last three times ... Even with MIUI and Stock GB Wolfbreak , It had problems .. Just not with 2.1 ... Happened about twice now

where do i go from 0.03.11 BL?

hi guys srry for a noobish one, i have searched but can only find steps from v3-v4 im currently on v2 0.03.11 BL
i have nvflash from when i installed the v2, do i just follow these steps:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1522384
same steps but just select the v3 supplied by civato?

ok guys i worked my brain over and managed to sort it im now happily on the V7 0.03.14-mul

I decided to go for the A500 / A501 ICS V8 BL-version as I'm having a bit troubles with Alexandra V.
I'm hoping that it will help with the 3G drops and trouble waking up.

but when i did 3 wipe it show error7: installasion aborted

Well, you have some threads to ask this questions.
First of all, what MIUI are you trying? Datsun port or miui.com ROM? It seems that u downloaded a corrupt file. Try downloading the rom again, do a factory reset and try again. Post it here so we can help.
