Flash

Has anyone tried to use flash on a website yet?
i have and it works but runs slowly
u should try making post like this just one full post....
what were u veiwing and how fast is your internet connection?
I know when i access any site its smooth and crisp including youtube and vimeo i'm on a 30/30 Fiber connection really fast but this is only site which lags for me
i think part of the issue is software related....some times the browser is really smooth and sometime its begins to act up...I think we will see improvements when we get our first update....at least I hope so.

Have you installed the latest version of flash (10.2) from the market?
I installed Flash 10.2 and can comfortably watch the desktop version of NHL Gamecenter Live
Flash has been choppy for me on some anime sites.
no issues here......getting the market version is a must.....the included version was hit or miss

[Q] Unable to view video from m.youtube.com after full ROM flash

Hi there fokes, I'm a novice in modding android. I was so excited after reading the threads here on how to mod android devices, so I couldn't help trying it yesterday.
I flash my device with a ROM downloaded from http://www.multiupload.com/0HR8W3BMUR which was crafted by Stockwell and team. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059753) I'm very satisfied with the performance and look of my device now, but only one little issue that my device cannot handle the video play from the stock browser visiting mobile youtube web.
Do any fokes have any ideas on the issue ?
Cheers !

Same issue, however not a problem why would I want to view from the browser when there is a youtube app linking me up with mp4 videos. Other than that just wait until you get fixes.

[Q] Fast forwarding in videos?

I know it's a known issue that video playback on a rooted Kindle Fire running a custom ROM like CM7 or ICS will automatically fast-forward through videos, whether they be in the youtube app or just in the browser. I have a few questions regarding this:
1. Is there a fix?
2. If not, do we have any idea what's causing it?
3. If so, what can I do to help fix it?
I want to try to help give back to the community instead of whining when stuff doesn't work. If anything else, just make me a beta tester.

web browser force closing all the time.

Hi all, i am running VegaComb 3.2 Build 9n Update 3 and the web browser is always force closing.
It mostly does it whn viewing pics on facebook or watching videos.
Maybe something to do with ram over load or something i dont know. But is there a way to solve this?
Unfortunately this is a framework problem in honeycomb related to flash. It is a ram issue but not specificly a Vega problem as it happens on other tablets running honeycomb. Later releases (honey ice ect.) Try to address the problem but no one has solved the problem completely.
ICS is better but has other issues. You should try ICS as that's where all the development is going (into ICS) now.
I need 10 thanks
If you found my post useful please thank me
Do you know a ROM that is overclocked and is ICS? It would be perfect, I have viewcomb but has the flash issue..

YouTube and other video is choppy.

I just got a nexus 10 and it seems like the videos I watch are choppy. You tube shudders when playing videos and I can't use my player on hw mode because it is choppy as well. Sw seems fine on my video. Does anyone have a solution to fix the choppy video in YouTube?
hunter99507,
My experience with Youtube on a N10 is only over the last 3 days but I am not having the issues you describe. I did get random stutter with the IMDB app during Movie trailer playback.
My N10 is unlocked, rooted, upgraded to Android 4.2.2. I flashed:
1) The "SentinelROM v4.00 - CM10.1 Source - Fast, Stable, Themed":
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121638
2) Also flashed the "KTManta" Kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015874
3) Installed the "KTweakerT App 2.9" app
4) Using the "KTweakerT App 2.9" app:
a Configure the UC/OC governor to "ktoonservative"
b) In the "ktoonservative settings" change disable_hotplug to 1 instead of 0
c) Set the scheduler to "zen"
5) Use the settings specified in #4 for a while to make sure everything is stable and addresses your YouTube issue. Note that the settings go back to default after rebooting. If they do solve your issue then use "KTweakerT App 2.9" app to have the settings initalized at startup/reboot time.
You probably do not need to do all the above but it works for me.

I'm running stock rom and I have shuddering issues.
Read through this discussion. Fixed my YouTube buffering problems after six months of searching for a solution. Not just applicable for time Warner. I have verizon fios.

There's your problem. If you want improved performance you need to install custom recovery and try other ROMs and kernels. AOKP, Rasbeanjelly, Sentinel, and EOS are all top notch. CleanROM is great too if you want more of a stock feel with added performance.
Once you settle on a ROM, test out different kernels to see which performs best for you.
You have a lot more to gain, overall, by trying a custom ROM than what you're limited to on stock.
