New to the xda2

i got an xda2 yestrdya, and i uninstalled the o2 active crap, but now when i go into programs i have an icon thats syas "active" underneath it and when i click it it comes up with something about filename, how can i get rid of that icon?
can you give me some links to some good freeware sites?

ok had 70 odd views and no reply? someone must know? it wont take long come on people, we all gotta start somehwere

Start your "File Explorer", open Windows -> Start Menu -> Programs folder, find your "active" file and delete it!

Did it work?

Does anybody know how to open the built-in programs and settings(control panel) programmly in compact framework?
I 've searched a lot , but got nothing. Please,could anyone help me out? Is it a short cut or file or something?

For the Program, typically it's a folder in \Windows\Start Menu.
The links place in there will show up in program.
As for the settings, I don't know :S Hope someone posts some hints on this 2

thanks for your help , but With "Folder Start" I only get this one post('ve tried both google and built-in search). I will appreciate it if you would like to share the link with us.

Well, I tried some other key words, and got two Posts. They use external exe files to realize program and settings view ,which will take almost 200K space.

Hi guys,
i can't find mod on how to extend programs tab in tflo3d so that all installed programs are available.
I can't remember the name of the app or mod, can someone direct me to it please?

Need help here.

Hi users, I can't remove away my installed apps. When i tried to removed, it says "the program was not completely removed. do u want to remove it from the list of installed programs?" i click yes and then nothing happen.. It is still in my programs list not uninstalled yet. Anyone can get this fixed??

Have you tried installing them again and trying to remove them once more?

alot of the time when this happens the best thing to do is re-install the original cab.
the install will say that it needs to remove the application before it re-installs...
what then happens is it removes the application and reboots the phone without re-installing.
quite common with things like manila edits.

some files do get deleted on a reset if its done correctly,,

It says "cannot remove the app, ok to continue?" clicked no soft reset my phone and its still there not removed yet. wad to do?

thats a different error from the one in your first post.
what exactly are you trying to remove?

HTC lost image
the graphic for HTC people, HTC calendar and HTC music have disappeared in the start menu and shows a blank white window with its blue border. how to restore back to the original graphic icon? anyone facing this also ??

what does missing icons have to do with uninstalling a program?

Was the program you were trying to remove one that changed these icons?
Sounds as though it has uninstalled (removed the changed icons) but giving errors as there are no longer files to move and/or ones are locked out to manila.

But i still can access those programs, jus that the graphic icons chg to those in my today screen.

I tried ur method and removed it already. Thanks alot I got issues with htc graphic icons too
