Short answer, no. You can download the update, but it will fail upon installation.

[Q] Once you root can you upgrade firmware to 8.2.3.13

The title pretty much says it all. Once you downgrade to root can you reapply the 8.2.3.13 firmware?

Once you're rooted, you can flash any ROM that has root.
If you update using a non rooted ROM you will loose root.
At this point however if you downgrade to root, flash a 3.1 ROM instead of just going back to .13

I have a Similar Question.. Im In the US though.. But I have the stock rom.. Not modified.. But it is rooted with the Gingerbreak app...
Does this need to be undone to get the update.. or are updates still enabled with it being rooted?
Same here in Canada. No OTA notification, rooted stock 3.01.
I was rooted when I received my notification. If you don't want to lose root and are sick of waiting on the update please see this post to flash the official OTA using CWM:
ROM - Stock 3.1 4.010.07 - Update with CWM
I was able to receive an OTA before when I was rooted (not 3.1 though) so it's most likely that the update is not available in your regions yet.

Yes but he has not the 4.1 yet. Read the whole message.
I would make a proper reflash with Odin in 4.1.1 ( the official, from samfirmware for example) and then a flash with wathever rom suits you. If you want to stay vanilla, this rom is nice : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020223
P.S: Oh sorry I see you have P3110. Then i have no advice on the rom to use, do whatever pleases you or you can even root it without flashing a rom.

if update you will loose root access
If you still want the OTA, i believe you can still get it but you will lose root access
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium

Currently on NE9, can I take the OTA and still root?

So I just got my S5 and updated to NE9 with root. I just got another message saying there is an update available. My question is can I take that update and still root?? I'm assuming Id do it the same way just use the latest kernel to flash after I root.
Thanks!
