Hey XDA,
Thanks for your help, now I have another problem.
When I am clicking Haret.exe and it's saying that the file is unsigned.
What I need to do?
Srry about my bad English.
Thanks!
It has been a year and a half since the last time I used android with windows mobile, so, I don't know myself. [btw, it used to work perfectly for me]
Anyway, a quick search showed this up: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3312617&postcount=5
Also, make sure you have the latest version of .NET .

Thanks, there is .NET for windows mobile? I didn't see it in any guide.. I just copied the files and I opened CLRAD.exe and then I open Haret.exe and then I got that error, I also asked here in the forum if I need to do something else except opening those files, and they said that I just need to open those files.
What I need to do, Maybe I need to install this ROM in another way?
Thanks
no no .NET is for your PC to use with the link I provided
Anyway, ignore that (or make it a last option) and first try a hard reset.

Thanks, but why do I need to use the PC in any of the guide I saw wrote there only to open haret.exe clcad.exe.. Do I need to do something else to install this specific ROM?
Thanks
Okay, ignore my previous post.
Most of the people say that they have solved the issue by doing a hard reset. Try that and report back.

Is it just this Rom its showing the error? Try downloading a different ad Rom and copying that "haret.exe" to your build only haret.exe nothing more to replace the one in your build. Alex

Please help I am stuck without my language now because I did hard reset...
Thanks for your help guys!
Try to install a custom ROM, they usually "enable execution of non-trusted applications" .
That should solve it.
I use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256423
What language are you confident in?
If you google the subject there is some good information on the problem, seems to be set on your phone, your not doing anything wrong,
Just need to remove security policy...

I also used this ROM it didn't work. same problem.
and what is security policy? I find something about it but it in the registery..
can you help me to solve this problem please? "haret.exe... it is not signed with a trusted certificate".
I already did hard reset. Maybe I need to do a factory reset? I saw this:
"okay i solved it.!!!! Factory reset, not hard reset.!!!! Fatory reset!!! Go to settings security and reset.!!! For those who want anroid and dont care about their winmo6.5 data manually reset!!!"
I saw it in another thread, but I won't do anything until I will be sure , it isn't my phone..
Thanks for helping and srry about my bad english again..
Your English is fine, well done, if you saw factory reset works, give it a go! It only resets all the settings, make sure you back up data first, give it a go... Much safer then playing in registry...

If you have tried the factory reset and had no success, try opening an app from the Windows Market Place and see if that works...
If you still need another try,
Replaced your "Haret.exe" with this one, only the "Haret.exe"
Do you have your build in an "Android" folder, that helps allot as I know

I just understood that factory and hard reset it the same thing it's called "Clear Storage", I tried to format SD card, no success and that file doesn't work either.
Now I remember that when I installed android first time it was "FroyoStone" it was another in another SD card, I lost him.
if there is no another option I will need to buy another card.. So I want to be sure that the SD is the problem so I will describe you exactly what I did.
So I did this:
1. I downloaded MCCM 3.0 sense ROM.
2. I connected the phone to the PC.
3. I copied the Android folder to the root of the SD card.
4. I ran CLARD.exe and then Haret.exe.
5. I got this error after clicking the Haret file:
"The file HARET cannot be opened.either it is not sighned with a trustes certifate or one of its components cannot be found.if the problem persists;try reinstalling or restoring the file."
I am stuck without my language now (caused by the hard reset), I need android (android support my language) So please help me to fix it, I am stuck I tried to find it in Google for hours I found only the same solutions that I already tried and they didn't work.
So please help me, and thanks guys!
Most people say a hard reset sorted the problem, I know how you feel, the fact it worked before is a good sign but might mean the sd card is broke.
Maybe try the hard reset again through buttons...
With your phone powered off, press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons 3. While holding the volume buttons, press the power button and then release it 4. When you see a warning message on screen, release the volume up and volume down buttons 5. Press the volume up button to perform the reset when prompted, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
Also make sure the time is correct some people report correcting the time fixed the problem,

ive tried a whole bunch of different combinations these last 2 days and for the life of me i cant get any android rom to pick up the g-sensor..anyone else have this issue...or can tell me what im doing wrong?
I believe someone suggested calibrating the sensor in windows mobile can have some effect in android.
ive tried that and still nothing..
i have the same problem tryed every android build but the sensor didnt work on none of them
yea same here it kinda sucks but i hope it can get fixed soon idk if it matters but im on a tmo-us 1024 hd2
best calibration is turn it off. download gscript lite from market and follow these direction. i only turn it on when i playing a game that requires it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7989313&postcount=2551
how do i turn something off if it doesnt work from the start?
You may be better of, for now, without it. Many users still experience freezing caused by the sensor.
If I were you I'd start from scratch. Task29 your phone, flash a new radio and rom, format the sd and load a new build.
Hyperdroid has a reliable g sensor, for me at least

Hi,
I think you may have screwed up your framework-res.apk
Try unzipping the ROM zip you downloaded.
Go to system>framework> and make a copy of your framework-res.apk
Then put it onto your phone and copy over the one you played with, and it might correct things.
how man the android is on the phones memory not on the sd card . how can i reach those folders cuz when i connect it via usb it wont be recognozed by the pc
Why not just make a fresh install of the ROM through CWM? Wipe all data & etc. Flash your Rom. You should be able setup your Google Account after.

Hi,
There is also a nice and easy step by step guide, for anyone just starting out, like yourself.
Try KEVIN134's TOOLKIT (Don't forget to thank him).
I've noticed on here the official T-mobile gingerbread ota update that can be downloaded for the G2. Does one exist for the MT4G yet? I have not rooted or modified my handset yet because I was strictly Blackberry until a few weeks ago & I haven't read enough to feel comfortable altering my phone. I did however, try the G2 update b4 I realized it was for the G2. Needless to say it didn't work! But I figured if one was available for the G2, surely the MT4G should be nearly ready for d/l.

Hey, if you are impatient like me and don't want to wait for the official OTA update to hit your My Touch 4g, you can go to your local T Mobile store as of August the 6th and they can do the update for you via a micro SD card. You need to make sure you back up all your stuff via google and your micro SD card and you will lose all of your apps so write them down so you can re download them. This will completely wipe your phone when it does it. I just did it yesterday and am now rocking GB 2.3.4 on my phone and loving it so far. Battery seems to be a bit better and there's a new radio and my cell reception seems to have improved some. Good luck, I'm like you didn't want to root my phone...I have a rooted Nook and don't mind playing with it but didn't want to chance bricking my only phone.
I thought it would re-install your apps? Or so I've been reading.
Also I called a couple nearby tmo stores, they haven't got the SD card yet.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
It didn't with mine. Once you log into your google account and go to the market, any apps you have purchased will show up, but all the free ones, you have to re download...or at least I did. As far as them saying they don't have it...
I went to my local store before calling and almost got into an argument with them about the whole thing. Then I finally asked them to look around and see if it was there and they found an envelope and "tada!" there was the SD card with the instructions on how to update. The girl at the store even said "a lot of times our customers know more about what is going on than we do" Are you freaking kidding me!!?? Anyway, it might not be a bad idea to wait until tomorrow to check since that is probably when the managers would be working and maybe they will know to check their mailboxes...

1. Download the file
2. Rename the file PD15IMG.zip (it should already be a zip file do not add .zip as the name just file type)
3. Move or Copy the file to the root of the SD card
4. Turn off the phone and remove the battery (unless you have fast boot already off in your phone, then no need to take out battery)
5. Hold down the volume down button while pressing the power button to turn it on
6. A menu will pop up and a few seconds later it will check for a the file you placed on the sd card
7. It will load some stuff on the right hand side of the screen on top.
8.It will say ready to update press something idk remember what it says
9.then it will begin. During process it will shut down once i believe and reboot to same menu and continue.
10. Make sure your phone is good battery. Just to make sure keep it plugged in to wall.
WARNING: This will basically do a factory reset on your phone
BUT: If you have your gmail backed up and everything, every single one of your downloaded apps(paid or free) should be re downloaded once you set up your gmail again on first time setup.
I did this and i am completely happy with with Gingerbread and NO this is not a made up rom this is the stock version.
Hope it helped and if you do this tell me how it went.
PS. Dont keep me responsible if you screw up somehow lol
Thank if this helped!

I did go to my local store today, they had it & I was able to get the update. As far as erasing everything, well all your apps that are installed through the Android market will re- install as long as you have them backed up. There is a setting somewhere that you can choose to automatically reinstall apps. Maybe in "storage & SD card"

I'm new at this, and I don't want to mess this up..
I hate even having to do this in the first place, but I need to flash a new radio to my phone as my GPS is kaput since I rooted and installed the leaked rooted version of the Gingerbread update (Radio didn't update). However, though I understand how to root and flash a Rom fairly well now, I'm having a little trouble understanding the procedure for flashing a radio. Here's what I intend to follow:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
How to Flash:
In order for this to work, the HTC Glacier needs to be S-OFF. Flashing the radio with a corrupt file or interrupting the flash, can brick the device, please proceed with caution.
Download the your choice of radio for the HTC Glacier.
Make sure the filename is PD15IMG.zip exactly or it will not work and copy it to the same folder as adb (the /platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
Connect the HTC Glacier to the computer via USB.
On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
Code:
adb push PD15IMG.zip /sdcard/PD15IMG.zip
adb shell md5sum /sdcard/PD15IMG.zip
NOTE: The md5 should match up the provide the original download location. If not, redownload & try again.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
The HTC Glacier will reboot & usually boot into fastboot. Pressing the Power button will put the device into the bootloader.
The bootloader will scan for the radio update. Once it finds the update, select Yes.
Allow the bootloader to finish flashing the updated radio, and reboot the HTC Glacier normally.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Questions:
1) "Open terminal" - What is terminal exactly? I see multiple references to this on this site, but no clear explanation of what it is, or where I get it.
2) "The md5 should match up the provide the original download location." - What does this mean exactly, and what am I looking for exactly?
3) Is there anything in settings that should be set in a particular way before I start?
4) Are there any apps or programs that I should have on my phone before I begin that I will need to do this?
5) Is the 3rd Gingerbread radio in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059347 compatible with this ROM?
Phone information:
T-Mobile MyTouch 4G, unlocked, permarooted, with Wind Mobile Canada.
Android version 2.3.4
Htc sense version 2.1
Kernel version 2.6.35.10-g225de41 [email protected] #1
Baseband version 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M
Build number 2.19.531.1 CL95282 release-keys
I'm heading out of town next weekend and I'd like to use my nav app, but it's impossible without the GPS functional, so any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Terminal is an app in the market. It allows you to run commands via the phone rather than using adb.
The md5sum is a quality control check to ensure that the downloaded file was not corrupt while downloading, so that if anything changed while downloading the md5sum (kind of a unique serial number) will not match... Search md5sum in the market and choose one to use and then verify the checksum for the files you download with the check sum supplied on the thread, usually above or below the download, if they do not match the the file is corrupt and will not and should not be flashed! Any other questions, feel free to ask and i will try to help!

I second his suggestion. It's much more headache free than all that other stuff you posted. I do suggest you verify the md5 though, just to make sure you didn't get a bad download of the radio.

This made me lol a bit. I know what you meant, but the typos just worked too well in those sentences. Made it sound like that Iphone confession app the catholic church approved lmao

Ok, that makes more sense to me now. Thank you.
I've downloaded AFV, and I already have terminal emulator installed, so I assume that would work?

Should be good to go! Just make sure the md5sum matches or you could end up with a paper weight!

Thank you to EVERYONE here, both those who helped, and those that provided typo comedy.
I went with the Panache radio and my GPS is up and running again, not to mention that my signal is stronger than it used to be. BONUS!
And hboot method was easy as could be, though I suppose I should learn how to use adb if I'm going to continue to muck with my phone.
Awesome.

Yup. Although in this case I searched a lot, and I managed to piece a lot of it together, but I'm still trying to get up to speed on the tools and terminology though. I mean no offense to anyone on here by this, but I found that many of the posts here are written with the assumption that the person reading it has at least a basic understanding of the procedures and terminology, which unfortunately isn't the case with me. I definitely appreciate the help, and I thank where appropriate for sure.

Hi guys ...firstly Id like to apologize for my english cause iam from slovakia .....
Ok now my problem.... today i finally decided to root my HTC DESIRE Z 2.3.3
Soft.num. : 2.42.405.4
Somewhere i found out that the only working way is according to the wiki it means that firslty i have to downgrade my phone i downloaded ADB installed needed packages .... i did every step according to wiki and when i type "adb devices" to my command promt it says "list of devices attached" and it finds my device.... but when i type "adb push fre3vo /data/local/tmp" it says cannot start fre3vo no such a file or directory
it's a simple problem, adb is not finding fr3vo. try moving fr3vo, and the other files you downloaded and extracted, into the same folder where you're running adb from. or if you have adb access set up universally, in the terminal just cd into the directory where you have the files extracted.
Of course I did so but still nothing ..

hmm ok, did you extract all the files after downloading them? that's about all i can think of..
edit; and someties you have to make sure the name of the file hasn't changed since the guide was written.
And I didn't completely understand the second advice maybe my english is inappropriate or my pc knowledge is bad could u explain it a bit closely ?
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda app-developers app
sure, no problem. when you download the files in the guide, you also have to 'extract' them..... you right-click on the files and choose 'extract'... that will make them a folder instead of a zip file, and then adb will find the folder called 'fr3vo'. i hope this helps...
I didn't mean this but the second advice at first post

oh, i just meant that you can set it up so that adb will work no matter which directory you are in. in that case, in the terminal you run adb in the folder where you have fr3vo and the other files extracted. this is sort of the proper way, but i do not have mine set up this way.
unfortunately it's hard to know why adb is not finding the files.... but i'm sure you will get it to work, since you already have adb set up.
I used XP ...I could try it on w7 could it work?
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda app-developers app
i have used Windows 7 successfully. it's worth a try because just doing it over again, maybe things will fall into place properly
Ok thx for ur help ill try it and ill let u know....

Ok cool, I'm sure you'll get it. Sometimes getting adb set up can be tricky for people, but ya got that.

omg thanks guys a did everything according to the pdf guide and now iam perma rooted ... omg youre great guys ...now cpuld u tell me what would be the best rom for me ? i want something really fast and responsible .thank u one more time guys
oh guys ive found this one looking really interesting ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1714187 I LOVE ICS so it could be really nice ..what do you think and then another think ..how to flash this rom how i get into recovery ?
power on while holding volume down, select recovery with the power button. wipe everything (in recovery use trackpad to select and scroll) then choose flash zip and follow the op in the thread.
mimicry and elitemod are the two best ics roms I've tried latley although its been months since I used others and I'm sure more are good now as well.
still find myself using gingerbread most of the time though, try a few roms out. do nandroid backups before flashing new ones, but flash a few roms to find out what you like. in the developers section you will find a thread that has links to all of the current roms and many from the past

sry for stupid questions but ... volume down+power ... i should use it when my phone is on or off? ... when i try it when my phone is on it does nothing
now i was just playing i wrote adb reboot recovery to command promt and it worked but i guess this is not proper way
adb reboot recovery. Is a perfect and flawless way to reboot into recovery. Its useful when a rom goes into a bootloop as removing the battery is not advisable(removing battery should be your last resort).
Edit: Don't forget to remove/delete PC10IMG.zip from your sdcard before you use the power + vol.down.
