No matter what ive tried I can't get my phone to reboot into recovery with bootstrap or rom manager. I'm trying to install a new apex theme but when i try and reboot into recovery my phone just reboots like normal.
Any suggestions or tips?
Hmm is it telling you "success" when you click bootstrap recovery?

As owenbeals has stated, you will need to root your phone if you have not done so already. If you need help, check out my guide:

I had cm7 and stupidly hit the reboot into recovery button. Then I was in the recovery bootloop. I tried to fix it but didn't have have adb access in twrp. I tried to install the stock update instead. It went through everything except installing the update. So it wiped every thing but recovery. I still don't have adb access, kindle is not showing as a storage device on my computer, and all I can get into on the fire is twrp. I'm kinda stuck. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Edited to add: I got it. I tried from another computer. It was a driver issue.

Hi- I rooted using ViperMod's method, have superuser and RecoveryInstaller.apk installed on a manually updated ICS rom which I downloaded from Asus site.
My issue is CWM keeps force closing when trying to reboot into recovery and Quick Boot wont boot me there either. I'm no stranger to rooting Android phones but this is my first tablet and I'm kinda stumped. I know I'm rooted because I've used titanium to backup my apps/data. Any suggestions?

Look for an app call "transformer reboot recovery" in the Market. Quickboot not compatible.
or manually with
Vol down plus power button
When you see words at top left corner immediately posh Vol up within 5 sec to get into recovery.
Also after you install RecoveryInstaller you did open the app to flash recovery?
Awesome. Installed your market app suggestion and worked like a charm!

Rooted fine my tf101. Recovery installed fine. So I wanted to save my buttons and install CWM Touch. Tried to install via terminal and typed the wrong mmcblock 4 instead of 3. Now its stuck in the splash screen with no recovery. I am able to access the tablet by cold boot only. Anyway I can fix this?

Honestly i have tried a lot of roms give the kindle fire hellfire ROM a try located http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470253
I have tried a lot of roms but this one is really smooth the only time its laggy is one first power on and playstore is updating everything other than that i love this one and its 4.4.2......
So download that one from the link make sure to download the gapps to for 4.4. When you plug your kindle fire in click on the storage and when all the folders pop up post it there which is the ROOT of your sdcard. Put the gapps there to again when the folders come up just copy and paste, where all the folders are but not in the folder. Go to wipe click advance wipe check off system, data, cache, dalvik cache go back. Go to install, and check the rom hf-11 the link i gave you press ADD more zips add the gapps zip and swipe to flash reboot system and let it boot. Let me know if you need any help

@TheChosenOne1 here you go.
1)Go to TWRP and then go to reboot and then bootloader. This should take you to the yellow triangle again.
2)Now download KFU on the PC, keeping the kindle disconnected, select install drivers.
3)Install the drivers.
4)Now open KFU and connect the kindle. It should say
ADB Status: Online
Bootmode or whatever:4002
5)Now select install latest TWRP recovery.
Check on the top that it downloads the correct version '2.6.3.1'
6)Then go here and download any nightly
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=otter
7)Then here
http://d-h.st/oYG
Click the small Black Download one. Rest all are spam
8)Now go to twrp
9)Go to mount and say USB Storage
10)Transfer both the files(I know they are all big, but still)
Now say unmount on kindle
Press home (On the top right)
Check that TWRP version shows 2.6.3.1
Go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select everything other than sdcard and swipe
Now go home
Install
Place where you kept your files
click on the cm-nightly first
Swipe to confirm flash
it will take time..
then after its over go home, not reboot system
select the gapps file
swipe to confirm flash
Now after its done reboot system
First boot takes lots of time be patient.
It will show cyanogenmod after the yellow triangle
Enjoy an android 4.4 KitKat Tablet!!!
If I helped press thanks
