I've been using the volume and scrolling mod for a few days now and noticed an issue with the volume having very random levels as you go through the steps. I thought maybe it was a bad download or something on my part, but then I saw a couple other people post the same thing using CM 7 Ba2tF so I started to dismiss it as a bug with CM. Then, I saw someone else +1 it using Neutrino which I realize is CM weekly based but it still lead me to test and I found out that I only have the volume step at random levels using Power Amp. On anything else, default music player, Gallery 3D, Mk Video Player, I tested the volume worked perfectly. 30 well incremented steps from no sound to the max. I know I remember at least one other person saying they used Power Amp and was just wondering if anyone else using the mod & Power Amp had the same thing and if so or if not what other apps did they have a problem with.
I did have that same problem using the volume mod and poweramp, so just going with only the smooth scrolling mod for now.

Hey guys hows it going
Do you know if there is any way to increase the vega colume when listening to music or watching films... The films part isn't that important because i use rockplayer and i know thats a bit dodgy... BUT when it comes to the music part i use Poweramp, which is an awesome player... Its just in a silent room, with no windows opens, music full volume, i can hear it, but not that well...
Is there anything that can increase the volume now AND will honeycomb somehow change something about the volume? Tweak the hardware or something?
Thanks alot
Sorry to state the obvious. But is your "media" volume turned down in settings/sound/volume.
My understanding is that the Volume on the stock rom and all roms based on it is capped at half way.
The Cyanogen mod that Apache is working on (see the development forum) resolves this, however all the other roms out there are based on stock and so don't.
Hope that helps.
Have you tried this? It certainly fixed the fact that the stock volume doesn't seem to get any louder after 50%

I still have a distortion issue at any volume on my Vega.
Which version can we use on the advent vega?

I used the V2 of the Generation 7 files. Download the G7 files - UNIVERSAL.zip and extract the V2 files to the desktop.
But I actually now think this doesn't work on the Vega. Sorry.
I'm running HD2O's new NODO rom.
Still havent been able to find a fix for the low volume out of the headphones listening to music, and very low volume for speakerphone. The camera also doesnt autofocus. Any 1 figure out a way to fix this yet? The last rom i was using before nodo, speaker volume was crazy loud. I would rather it be loud than very quiet. Also with WPbench, it shows that it's using 16 bit color instead of 32. Theres banding in the color transitions. Any fix for this, or is the HD2 screen just not up to par?

Is it newer than his original nodo rom he dropped before DFT's?
Yes it is newer and supposedly better. I'm downloading it as I write this.

Im going to see how ppcboy's rom is. his last one was awsome. nothing bad at all to sday about his previous build. Please let me know what you think of yuki's new rom. I dont have my usb cord to flash it tonight anyway.
You can possibly fix the volume by changing the general volume attenuation in HKCU\ControlPanel\Volume\MaxdBAtten. Default (original DFT) value for this key is 45, it's often set higher in custom roms to reduce the volume. Setting it again to a lower value will make the device (headphones + speaker) louder. I wouldn't go below 45 though, thats already pretty deafening
There is no fix for the camera other than installing a different camera software alltogether, AKAIK
BTW, both topics are pretty extensively discussed on the forum already
Ive tryed the maxbatt edit. Doesnt have any effect, except for adding more bars to volume, for a more acute volume adjustment. Doesnt actually make it louder or softer. Ive been looking in the other forums for answers for a few weeks now, and no 1 has come up with a legit answer, except reflash another rom. Ill have to look into another camera software for WP7, and the color banding issue is still no fix in site?
Ok. So I tryed out Yuki's newest rom. It's pretty dope. The camera is nice, but volume still seems low on speakerphone/external speaker. Ring volume is plenty loud though. Awsome original WP7 boot screen, and what not. Didn't really care for the green button coded to blutooth/media player. Right now I'm running elMInStER blackSideSeven ROM. Love everything about it except for the no camera fix. If this rom had yuki's camera he has in his, it would have been perfect. The green hardware button is hard coded as the green phone button, and doubles as the camera after you open it. Volume seems a bit louder on that rom also.
Hey can you tell me how much the battery drain is on the blackSideSeven ROM?
So far, it's been decent. Had the phone on since 7AM unplugged, havent used it much, but im still @ around 80% @ 2PM
Is anyone having issues with this rom and using the volume control with headphones on? Without headphones, the functionality seems to be normal. With headphones, the volume up/down buttons act erratically, they increase/decrease in increments, but somewhat retain their overall function.
Hitting volume up once causes the volume to raise, hitting it again lowers the volume. Hitting it a third time causes it to raise the volume higher than the first time, the fourth time lowers the volume, but at a higher volume than the second. Volume down acts pretty much the same way.
Ideas? I'd have posted in the rom thread, but restrictions and all...
Are you using an equalizer at all?

Yeah, DSPManager is included in the rom, but it doesn't seem to matter whether it's enabled or not.
Edit - Just flashed the rom to MazWoz's JB 4.1.2 just to rule out a few things. (and check out JB!) Volume works normally here, so its probably related to the 30-step volume mod in some way.

I've seen that same issue in different roms, too. I use SOS+, and it does the same thing. The issue seems to be with the mod, and not with the Rom acting incorrectly.

So is there any way to fix this issue or a patch maybe? Its not bugging me much, just curious.
Had the same issue with DigitalKarma v.7. I "froze" DSPManager in Titanium Backup and it seems to have fixed this problem.
Hello,
I'm having a very weird problem. Anytime I stop playing music or hang up the phone while using my headphone, there's a weird ticking noise that last about 2 seconds. It's the most annoying thing, and I cannot get it to stop. In fact, this also occurs if you play music with the volume set to the lowest setting. You can still hear the clicking noise. It is completed independent of the volume because I can drown out the sound by turning up the volume, but if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear it.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm using the crDroid which is CM10.2 based and this has happened on all builds (I've used 16,17,18,19 and 20). I'm using the franco Plus #184 kernel (and I've used the #183 kernel) and the issue has always been there. Thanks!
NOTE: this does not happen when I use my HTC headset that has a microphone.
-----------------------------------------------
Edit: I found out the issue was related to the kernel. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I switched to the default crDroid kernel and it's now fixed.
My media player volume keeps increasing and decreasing randomly and this is extremely irritating while listening to music. The only solution, albeit a temporary one, is to restart the phone every time this happens. But its just a matter of time before it starts randomly fluctuating again. Is there any solution for this?
Hi.
Maybe the problem is that your audio sources have different volume levels. In this case you should look for an app that use something called ReplayGain. I think Poweramp use it. I don't know about others...
Edit: just adding a link which explain it better than me maybe
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReplayGain
I had this problem on my 6P also. This just suddendly came after 2 weeks running on stock without any updates or anything. 1 week later still on same stock it got even worse. The fysical volume buttons stopped responding and I where only able to regulate the volume through software.
I then desided to f*ck the stock, root and use cyanogenmod/lineageOS roms instead and none of the problems have returned. The problems could maybe have been resolved just with a normal factory reset ? But overall the phone runs smoother and better than stock.
