Hello all, Just got the fire. software ver 6.0
I have not connected to wifi/registered.
Should I just connect, register, and update.... then try and root?
Just wondering if updating/registering makes a difference for rooting purposes.
Any pros and/or cons?
Thanks!
yea version 6.2.1 is a bunch better/faster and rooting is super easy with kindle fire utility v7
yes there is a way to root it now.
Thank you guys!

Hello Everybody !
I've just had my new Yoga 2 1050F yesterday, and of course, I want it rooted...
But, I have a question here, Should I Root it BEFORE updating Android or AFTER ? (With OTA update)
Actually I'm on 4.4.2.
And which tool is prefered for rooting Lenovo Tab's ? It's my first one (before i've own ACER A20FHD, and Motorola Xoom2, all rooted.)
A big thanks everyone !
Have a nice day
that is an existential question you're asking...

Hi,
I just received my brand new tablet Asus Zenpad 10 Z300M and I am wondering if there is a way to root it or not ?
Thanks for your help,
Regards.
Manu
I have this tab as well. Remain patient.
Previous models of the Zenpad family had Intel Atom choosers, the z300m is a Mediatek device. It will take to e for development tools to reach us. I'm on this as well
Here are the hardware specs of this device:
This post will be updated with logs as I can make them.
Asus Z300m
Model number P00C
Mediatek MT8163 Quad-core 1.3GHz
2GB RAM
Marshmallow with security patch 5th July 16
I have so far been unable to do a ptrace or manual root via adb, NONE of the tools I have used have gained root
Hello, i also want to root my Asus Z300M.
Any news about root?
Thank you.
I'd like any information on this as well. Thanks to anyone who may be working on it.

I'd like to root this tablet as well. Really sucks there's no method.
Anyone get anywhere with this model? p00c? Been lookin all over and haven't found much on this tab. Thx in advance.
Just got this tablet last week. I'd love to see it get root as well, but can live without it if it never gets root. Thanks in advance to anyone who is working on root for this device.
This model has been out for ages now, so I'm amazed that there is no root?? I would love to get rid of the Asus bloatware - that said it's an amazing tablet for bigger all money!!
Someone has news about rooting it ?
Looking forward rooting it, I really need multi user support.
I need root too. Cheers to anyone working on this.
Has anyone tried to root this device following the Z300C guide?

Have you tried? I don't think it will work. Different CPU. Really sucks because this is a great tablet plagued by Asus crapware.

Would this work with the z300m? Need to move apps to SD as filling up the internal fast!
Still no root?
I got myself a 128gb SD card so I could throw all the apps on it, only to find out when the tablet and SD card arrived that you cant move anything over <_<
So now the card just sits in the tablet doing nothing. So Sad
Still no root for this ????

Asus ZenPad 10 Z300M (P00C) Android 6.0
Has Anyone had any luck finding a way to unlock the bootloader on a Z300M (P00C) (marshmallow 6.0, Android security patch level 1 December 2016)
I'm trying to root it so I can change the ROM on it to the new Android 7.1 . I've been reading all the post in hear about it, Tried all the intel stuff (no joy) KingRoot doesn't work, Won't pay OneClick.. Came across some dodgy webpage with a program called Autoroot tools V3.0 Which wants you to install some software first before it lets you download the program....... very suspect.. so no. Back to square one No Unlocked Bootloader, no root....... can anyone help ?
i have a kindle fire hd 82017 (douglas, i believe) here with fire os 5.3.3.0, and have successfully blocked the update servers on my router.
i understand the root situation ive done my research, however, i see that the hd10 has been rooted and it works better on lower versions.
does anyone know the root method used for the HD10? the one that kingo uses? their chpsets are very similar, and im wondering if someone knows how to find that information, or if theres some email address or report system for kingo to ask them to use the same method on the 8 models.
also, if anyone knows downgradibility, or links to some firmware for the 2017 variant of this OS it would be appreciated
also anyone know of any ideas they never got to try on 5.3.3.0? i
PS i have another one that 5.4.0.0 NOT .1, so i think it can be downgraded slightly lower? anyone has anything they wanna try, ive got 2 tablets id be willing to try anything on.
P.P.S. if we do get root, couldnt we then get the scatter and help other get rooted? or does the lockedbootloader prevent that entirely?
Successfully upgraded from 5.6.2.0 to 5.6.3.0 via the misnumbered 5.3.6.4 OTA update. Device had been previously rooted and the first OTA update failed, but I lost root in the process. OTA downloaded a second time and successfully updated to 5.6.3.0.
Root was quickly and painlessly restored following the procedure in this post by retyre:

Has anyone else confirmed root is successful on the FireHD10? One other user had problems in this forum and could not get root working.

Hi, I've updated my HD 10 with the official 5.6.3.0 version from Amazon and it shows 5.3.6.4 according to the Amazon support this is correct so, the old version was 5.2.
I don't know why but the version before was showing 5.6.2.0 I'm not sure if the support people knows anything about the correct version
Success!!
Hi I accidentally update one of my new Fire HD 10 to 5.3.6.4 which has been rooted while it was on 5.6.1.0. with the offline method by retyre.
It was only 1 attempt and it succeded.
Cool, root methods are still working for the latest update 5.6.3.0 (which I saw there was an update only today, as I have disabled OTA). Any noticeable changes in the latest 5.6.3.0 when compared to 5.6.2.0 in terms of features and speed/performance? (I could not find any release notes on AMZN website).
Cheers!
My firehd10 was rooted with the Kingsport method at 5.6.2.0 and I would like to upgrade to the latest 5.6.3.4. Since the method disables the OTA, how do I upgrade? I've read that the same rooting method works for 5.6.3.4, but don't know how to proceed from wherein am now on 5.6.2.0.

It's just a typo...real version is 5.6.3.4 :good:
Hey guys, so I just managed to get this Sloane rooted and it's currently on 5.2.6.7 r2, I'm wondering is there any point updating to latest 5.2.7.2 as I'll be deleting most of the bloat anyway. Is there any advantages such as 4k /remote updates or anything vital that I should need to update for?
Cheers in advance
