Forgot password - Omnia II General

Hi guys,
I have a samsung omnia I8000 which I haven't used in ages. Now the problem is that I've forgotten the screen unlock password. Is there any way to bypass this without losing all the data? If not then how can I reinstall the OS on it?
Thanks in advance.

That needs root. You say you are on stock but are you rooted?

Hy
Yep my phone was rooted without increasing the counter.
I've fixed my problem with upgrade to Gingerbreath and the Galaxy_s unlock app.
It seem, that this app dont work together with ICS.
Thanks for Help and nice evening

External storage error

Hi. I was on a plane last night after the longest week ever on a trip.
I have a perfectly functioning nexus 10. I downloaded a flashable zip of clockwork touch recovery instead of the non touch one I was using.
Stupidly I flashed it and rebooted and ever since I get the gallery error of now external storage. Google play doesn't work either.
In setting the nexus knows I have 13gb available and I get no error messages when I boot into recovery.
A pain in the butt for sure and I am not sure how to undo my stupidity.

I tried reflashing. I tried fastboot -w. I tried a few other things but to no avail.
I'd prefer to just blast the entire partition structure and start over

I'll redo the boot loader tomorrow. Maybe flash the Ubuntu preview then back.
Thoughts?

So far no luck. I've relocked and unlocked. Changed recoveries. Installed ROM after ROM and still same error. I'm completely at a loss
Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try fix permissions in recovery? It's worth a shot.
I dunno why flashing any version of CWM would cause this though.
I did yes sir. I tried 100 million things. In the storage section of settongs the tablet knew it was a 16gb. But just wouldn't let it be mountable or usable.

Its almost like it doesn't know its partition size or where it is.

Sent to Samsung for repair. I'll report back their findings

I am having the same issue, not able to access Google play or the internal storage even after reinstalling to factory image many times. Have you got it resolved from Samsung. Please update
Hi. Sorry for the delay.
Sadly I contacted Samsung about it and it was officially broken. Happily Samsung repaired it under warranty for me. It was the motherboard that died.

Flashing vs Unlocking

Hi!
I want to get a Samsung Galaxy S4 but I was wondering if I could just flash it?
In exemple:
I get a T-Mobile phone and I want to get it to work on AT&T network, can I flash the ROM so it recognizes the new sim card or unlocking it is really required?
Thanks =)

You need to sim unlock. Flashing a rom won't do it.

So my dear wife forgot her password and couldn't unlock it after the phone restarted. I was able to unlock it by going through the Samsung find my mobile portal. Now the only way she can unlock the phone is with the fingerprint sensor but I can't find a way to change the password.

Factory reset
Yes. Factory reset from recovery mode

I was hopping no, I'm sure the phone can do a full backup before doing the reset. She is just freaking out about loosing her pictures and files.
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
You should backup the files and pictures before factory reset, or at least move them to a SD card.

Backup your pictures with google photos
Thank you guys, so she finally remember the password and was able to change it.

just for future reference you can unlock your phone from a laptop by logging into your Samsung galaxy account I had to do this

Help for my SM-T537V Tab4

I recently bought a tab4 off of ebay. When go through the start up screens it says it has gone through an abnormal factory reset. It is running lollipop, and I can't find a bypass that works. Does anyone know of one, or do you guys know if I can root it, or back up the os to allow one of the bypasses to work.
