Hi,
I have a Kindle Fire tablet ( not rooted ) and the Kindle fire can not connect to Wifi Networks, any wifi networks.
I tried to factory reset it, but when I go to Settings->Device it crashes with the error:
"Application "Privacy Settings" is not responding"
I hard reset it ... about 20 times, but the problem still exists.

[Q] WiFi and sdcard problem on Kindle Fire

I have flashed Kindle Fire with CM9(version 2/9) . It was running great first day. But the next day, it could not connect to WiFi(Mecurcy wireless router, WPA/WPA2), just frequently tried to connect but be refused. But it was OK on the first day after I flashed CM9.
When I tried to login the router from PC to set the wireless channel, the router refused the login name/password(it is admin/admin, used to be OK). It is so funny and confused.
About the sdcard problem: I plugged Kindle Fire usb cable into PC as usb driver. After i plugged out the cable, Kindle Fire cannot recognize the sdcard. I have to restart the machine. Is there any solution for finding sdcard without restart?
There is another little problem. It cannot recognize the file name with international language but show ??? instead. How to fix it?
I am very appreciate for your help. Thanks.
Hemmed go into TWRP and make sure that SDcard is mounted... Or you could try factory reset.

try disabling your wLAN security and try again
Have you tried factory reset ?
I think that the factory reset would solve the problem
Go into recovery and erase data, cache and dalvik-cache.
That will hopefully fix it
If not, try turning bluetooth on then using wifi

Kindle fire doesn’t recognize my PC

Hi,
I’ll appreciate it if you can help me with the problem with my KF.
So the story: I have charged my KF and when I wanted to turn it on, I was not able to start the WiFi – Once I go to the menu WiFi the marker goes from Off to On from itself and no search is performed. So I tried to make master reset, but when I go to “Device” I get error message “Application Privacy settings” is not responding“. I’ve connected the KF to my PC but on one hand KF is stuck on finding the PC – the orange circle in the bottom is just loading and normally it should say: press here to disconnect your device. On the other hand the PC is not recognizing the KF as removable device.
I’ve installed Kindle fire utility and the drivers, but still I cannot access the folders on my KF ( no removable device found) and KF utility is just showing “ waiting for device”
Could you please help me find a solution since I am in EU and I do not have any warranty?
Thank you in advance
Kind regards
Krassi
PS: KF is with the stock Rom and it is not rooted

Thanks Tera Tike, but unfortunately I get the same message "Waiting for device". I am getting the "Safely remove device" message from my PC, however KF doesn't recognize the PC

Try redoing your drivers first. Step 1 then step 2. Those need to be working correct.

Then proceed.

Thank you, I will try it once my KF gets charged , and let you know the result ( the only way now is trough the stock charger). I am a little bit confused since I haven't connected my KF to a PC since 6 months and this error suddenly occurred.
Since you have been using you computer for a lot of other devices there are many
Ghosted devices installed. It is better to clean those out. Also remember to reboot the computer once the drivers are uninstalled xor installed.

I am confused why I get errors in my KF without even connecting it to a PC, so I am not sure if it is a driver issues - but still I will clean my PC once it got charged. Thanks again!

What are the errors??? I thought you was getting errors when trying to connect to from the computer, that's why I suggested to clear your drivers.
Now I am confused...

Well above are the errors - basically I can not connect my KF either to USB, nor to WiFI. On top of this I can not access the "Device" menue
I will really appreciate if you have any solution to this
Thanks
Krassi
BTW - everything else is working - books, apps, etc

OK, Try a hard shutdown...Hold the power button until the device shuts off completely
The QuickSettings.apk user data might be corrupted. If you had TWRP installed then you could wipe and clear the dalvik and system cache.
You could try these fastboot command, But you need your drivers working correctly!!
fastboot erase userdata (this will erase all your personal data)
Unfortunately nothing helped. I've tried with a PC which was never connected to an Android device and still the same problem happened. I have also noticed that the battery is draining for 30 minutes after full charge (6 hours with the power charger) and the Kindle is overheated when it is on. However I convinced Amazon to take the shipment expenses from Europe and to send the new one to a friend in US, so tomorrow I will ship it back. Anyway thanks for your help!

App requesting install everytime wifi is connected

Hi guys I'm using the DN Lollipop ROM on my rooted note 4 and I have aptoide installed as well.
Everytime I connect to a wifi it requests me to install drop box. If I accept the request it says App not installed and if I reject it it just goes away. Then if I go upstairs and the wifi connection changes to the other router, it asks me again. Basically it always asks me to install everytime I connect to a wifi. Can anyone tell me how to stop this?

TB-X505F (Lenovo Tab M10), could not activate wifi and bluetooth any more

Hello,
I have a TB-X505F (Lenovo Tab M10) with the stock ROM TB_X505F_S001149_221115_ROW.
It is rooted and I tried different Magsiks/Zygisk modules.
From one moment to the next, WLAN and BT can no longer be activated. If you move the slider for turning on WLAN to the right, it jumps back to off a few seconds later; the same with BT.
What I have already done:
- Reset network settings via Settings -> System
- Factory reset via Android
- Factory reset via TWRP
- Factory reset via StockRom recovery
- reinstalled the rom with LRSA.
- Reboot with and without SD card
Do you have any idea what that could be or what else I could try?
With a cellphone module I read that an IMEI can get lost and that the module can no longer connect to the cellphone network.
Is there something like that with the MAC address of the Wifi and BT interface?
Thanks.
