upgrade/downgrade spl with S-ON ?

Hi,
I've currently the following setup
SAPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-ON H
HBOOT 1.33.2010
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17
My phone is currently having an issue to recognise the SD card and i've received a method to somehow fix this but i need to upgrade in SPL version 1.76.2007
My question:
I don't want to stay at this version and revert back to 1.33.2010. WIll it be possible to downgrade it if i have this flag S-ON ????

Unrooted my 32B ... SHIP S-ON H?

I've unrooted my 32B Magic as it's going back to Vodafone for repairs under the HTC warranty.
I want to be absolutely sure that I've reversed it back to the stock settings.
I've flashed an old nandroid back which doesn't have root. I've also flashed the non-engineering SPL. My recovery image has gone back to the stock one with the nandroid restore.
Fastboot says this:

I want to ask .. if returned to the stock rom with radio and SPL stock may make a brick to myTouch 4g?

you mean load the PD15IMG and boot into hboot?
no that will not brick it, unless you have a bad eMMC, then the chance goes up.

Ok I recently think I need eng hboot..
My phone in hboot says:
Glacier PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.86.0000
MICROP-0429
RADIO-26.09.04.26_M
eMMC-boot
I try su im emluator and it give me root access. I can go into recovery etc.. But i cannot get s-off.. IDk y...Its driving me nuts.. I just found out how to used adb.. but not how to flash/push...files to get s-off..If i do , do that.. where do i place the s-off files?

Help, Reboot loop trying to install CM6 Mytouch3G

I am trying to install Cyanogenmod using the tutorial here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Magic_(32B):_Rooting and the device can never boot.
This is a MyTouch3g 32b that was previously running the original firmware. I was able to downgrade to firmware 1.5 and get Amon_Ra 1.7.0G installed fine.
I downloaded update-cm-6.1.0-DS-signed.zip and copied to the SDcard. I rebooted into recovery and wiped everything before installing that zip. Now it boots to the Cyanogenmod logo which spins for a while then freezes and repeats the whole thing again.
How should I proceed?

While trying to troubleshoot I found another page on the wiki that said I needed the updated radio so I installed 2.22.23.02 from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=640535
It didn't change anything.

That is weird. Please post full spl-info (turn phone off, then turn on by pressing back + power)

It is now stuck on the initial "Mytouch 3g" screen
I have no downgraded to

i'm having a similar issue. i'm trying to get cm6 on this phone for a friend. i rooted with super1click, flashed recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G and i can get into recovery fine. i made a nand backup, flashed cm6 and it won't boot. stuck at htc slash. i had to nand restore. do i need s-off to flash a rom or flash kernel thru fastboot or something? i have not changed the spl yet for lack of really knowing what i need to do. there is little info about whether i need to mess with that to flash cm6.

I am not Magic 32b's owner, but it seems like CM6 is not compatible with hboot 1.33.0013 / radio 2.22.28.25
Try to check compatible Rom (ex. gingeryoshi or something else). Look at Htc Dream Development forum. There are some actual Roms. Htc Dream and Magic 32b have same hardware level and custom Roms (but NOT official)
I am not advising change spl (hboot/radio combo), cause hboot 1.33.0013 or 1.33.0013d are last hboots for Magic 32b and developers make roms compatible with these hboots.
