I currently have full access to Windows Live, XBOX Live and Marketplace with my HD2, but I'm worried that I'll lose this access if I register my HD2 IMEI#.
Has anyone had success using their HD2 IMEI# with this offer?

Hi, I have two CDMA HTC devices. On my diamond I have an unlimited Data plan and on my Vogue I don't have any. I was wondering if it was possible to copy some ofmy EPST info from my Diamond to my Vogue so that it may access internet from my diamond account while both the devices keep their respective phone number?
I'm paying enough for both phones already and I don't want to pay an extra 20$ or so per month just to have web access on my second phone which I use occasionaly.
I've tried copying M.IP default profile info onto my Vogue but without success.. Is there any other steps? Also, theorically, is it possible to do?

Hello there. I have the 25 digit code, and have successfully activated my windows live account on my HD2. But when entering Marketplace, i get this message:
"Either Xbox LIVE or Marketplace for Windows Phone isn't offered yet in your country/region. Please check back later."
What can I do? WP7 is kind of boring without Marketplace access.
NB: I've tried to change my country settings under my windows live ID to USA, from Denmark. But still, same error message.

you have a make a new windows live ID from a country where it is supported. Change your locale to that country in your phone. Log in with your new information (you might have to hard reset), and BAM! it works.
I got the same problem.
I'm from Brazil and have a XBox Live Gold account (from that country).
I make the activation with that account and even the marketplace or xbox live games hub not work.
It's a shame that Microsoft don't make the MarketPlace available WorldWide when not exist in a specific region.
Anyone could make that work with a secondary account (just adding it)? Or have to hard reset?

this might fall on Windows Phone 7 Generally but the Philippines is still not supported buy Market and apparently windows phone 7 users cant buy apps, one user of an hd7 said he changed his location setting to US and was able to buy apps with his credit card, so how does Market recognize where the phone and owner is? is it via the manual setting or does the GPS report to Market where the owner is?
It is actually determined by the billing address of your Live ID. It has noithing to do with the location of your phone.
ok but his Mastercard is billed in the Philippines so how come he was able to buy apps and games?
what he did mention that somewhere in the Zune software he specified the US as location so was that the reason?
Actually, I think that if you set your Region Format to English (United States) you can access the Marketplace from your phone. Go to Settings > Region & Language to change this.
I live in Argentina and I can download apps from the Marketplace. If I set my Region Format to Spanish (Argentina) I can no longer access the Marketplace.
As a last resort, you can use the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace for Windows app to download applications and then deploy them to your phone. This will require you to "developer unlock" your phone in order to sideload the applications.
I never tried buying an app though, so all of the above might be irrelevant to your case.

but i still could not see PAID apps in the Market.
I am however NOT in the US currently.

Simple, first go to manage installed application in settings and clear data on Marketplace.

Most of the vpn services are not free.
Always connect to vpn BEFORE opening market place.

Gosh!really, that means Android Markets identify users according to the county IP & not the credit card source that's tied to Google Account.
What fuss! No paid apps for me for a year until I return to the US.

Just root your device and use market enabler app from the market. It will allow you to change your carrier country code, actually the carrier to a usa one like t mobile or something giving you access to paid apps

I just flashed native hd2 win 6.5 to wp7 green mango.
i don't have 3g or any data signal (phone works and wifi works)
also, trying to log into my windows live account asks for a key code.
is there a workaround for these 2? or is this the rom?
if this is the rom, does anyone have an alternative? I don't want to go the way of android.

Ok Just got 1 of 2 issues out of the way
FOR ALL WHO GO FROM HD2 WINMO 6.5 to WP7 and Don't get data:
Go to settings, Data and SET YOUR APN
FOR USA its epc.tmobile.com
My data works now
Still need workaround to access windows live (keep getting the key code entry)

You have to ask Microsoft for an activation code to get acces with your live ID.
