You're restoring your stuff you should not (ex system apps, system data). Wipe all and try again

this!
and to the rest: why yusing such apps if it is easaly changed within the settings -.- more bloat for a simply sound change.
I have had a Nexus S 4G for a while and I'm getting a lot of notification noises whenever the 4G signal is lost or acquired and just getting random notification noises overall. Is there a way to turn these sounds off on the stock ROM or is there a ROM that allows control over all notification sounds? It seems like the stock ROM only allows one notification noise for everything pretty much.
Have you tried going into each individual app and check everywhere in your settings app? For each app and section (most) there should be a place to check/uncheck notification sounds. You could also try a market search for something relevant :\?

After I disabled CM Profiles it would finally accept a different notification sound other than my default phone ringtone... What a confusing little feature
I'm using gapps 20130301and running CM10.1 nightlies. I'm not sure if this is an issue with this nightly because I just got this phone but within the Messaging app I'm unable to change the ring tone or vibrate patterns. It continues to use the system default notification sounds. Privacy guard is disabled on the app.
Any suggestions? I've reflashed gapps and I've cleared the data/cache for the app

Works fine here, for both CM10.1 and CM10.2.
And there is no changes on Mms recently.

last changes was 23/7.
Funny thing is it was working properly yesterday. Where did you get 10.2?
I did some more digging. It absolutely refuses to accept any sound changes within the Messaging app. It's using whatever default RINGTONE I have set instead of using even the default notification
Stock LG G2.. not rooted...
I use Zedge to download custom ringtones and notification sounds...
My phone has a bad habit of defaulting back to original ringtones that were set up when I originally got the phone.. All I do is open Zegde and re-apply them.
Any Idea what is causing my phone to do this ?
Hi there,
As in title, clock and alarms problem.
When screen is off, and alarm is set, I hear only a quick start of it, and then silience (like couple miliseconds of noise and then
nothing). It happens with every app. It is happnn' almost on every rom on my retarded phone. If screen is on while alarm starts, I can hear it, but when screen is off it is bad as you know. If alarm on off screen start, and I turn screen on, it looks like it's still going but without noise (I can stop the noiseless alarm...).
Now the second part, I can install only couple Clock apps from market (on most I get Error505). For example the google Clock app can not be inatalled, but KKClock can be, but the "no sound" problem occure.
I tried to wipe app data of KKClock and google play.
One more thing, after i push google Clock app into system apps through Root Browser, it appears, but when i try to open it is forcing close...
Help me I'm getting late at the morning
Repost : Please help, I really don't know what to do... I have no task killers and settings about apps in background are default.
Best option is to install a fresh rom wipping the data catch a such....when done without installing anything test the alarm app first! If problem insists it could be related to your kernel or you have a hardware problem.
The force closing of google clock did you give the correct permissions to the system app?
