Not fully as far as I've seen.
I've been playing around with HTML5 in windows 8 developers preview. Youtube does have a complete version of itself that is HTML5; so there is movement to that format.
this is not a big deal as adobe air has the same capabilities that flash has except it will be in a more application type manner.

Yes there are browsers on Android that do support HTML5 completely. well as completely as any other browser does, seeing as HTML5 is incomplete still. Not to mention that adobe isnt just going to pull Flash out from under us.
:-O WTF?!?!?!?!?

What platform would launch? Or have the technologies become so widespread that it's an easy port.... Seems silly when you look at it...

silverlight is a microsoft product, if microsoft doesnt choose to make a version for android then you are out of luck. what i would suggest is to vnc into a desktop and then watch the jerky unwatchable video through that =)
Funny, I'm still waiting for silverlight with full drm support for linux. Android was based off of linux. So all I can tell you is keep waiting for microsoft to port it over. BTW, no dev I know is going to touch a microsoft branded software.

The LGP500 struggles to play Angry Birds at times. I doubt it run Metro apps, let alone be worthwhile to use for regular Windows apps (imagine clicking on icons, or menus?)

That said, it'd be a fun, geeky experiment to see what kind of minimal ARM hardware that Win8 could be made to run on. Perhaps with some kind of HDMI output + bluetooth peripherals.

Just got this info from engadget...looks good
Following Samsung's launch of the it's-definitely-a-tablet 10.1 Note, it's become even more clear that the company's stylus S Pen is here to stay, in a very big way. Now, it's time for third-party developers to get sketchy with version 2.0 of the S Pen SDK. The biggest feature boost is the ability to animate drawings to pair with recorded voice, while other additions include SAMM Library access, improved rendering and the ability to revert after accidentally clearing all. Ready to start jotting?
How it works: Say for example, you are taking notes while recording a meeting. When you are reviewing your notes, you click on a word or pen swipe or whatever you were noting, and it then plays the audio from the exact time you made that note.
I'm not sure if I'm doing it any justice with that explanation; but in practice it's all kinds of awesome.
They (Samsung) have also started a contest for best S Pen apps. Winner gets $100,000.
So they are definitely trying to attract developers.
For the love of all things efficient, will somebody _please_ build an app that allows annotation of word and powerpoint documents with the s-pen.
My boss will pay good money for this feature!

I have read an article in flipboard stating that ubuntu will release nexus and nexus 4 os.. yeah.. I guess developers will make this work on our note 2
from GODFATHER GT-N7100
ARHD V11.2
Could you give me more information? Thanks
Sv: Ubuntu is on its way
Seems you can try it out on the GN/N4 at 21/2 and i will for sure try it out on my nexus.
But would love later on to have it on my Note2 with the vig screen..

We have awesome devs!
Also, it supports Android kernels and drivers so it should be pretty easy.

I'd like to see Ubuntu on the Note 2 as well, in the future.
If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to tri-boot my Note 2 with Android, Windows Phone and Ubuntu.
If a tri-booted phone like that can't get you laid, nothing can.

Have you heard about guru dev wanting to port it to GN2 yet ?
It seems GN2 community is not as much entusiast as SGS3's about this...

Source code is out and the porting guide will be out tomorrow. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Porting
It's based on the AOSP android Kernel and drivers. So porting it for the Note should be pretty easy. They went with the same approach as Firefox did. I might even give this a try myself.
For anyone else that will attempting this port or that of Firefox os , build against Cyanogen source and not the Samsung one.
It is actually based on Cyanogen mod and not AOSP.

agreed; you need a lot of testers to discover the non-critical bugs and fix them; what better way to do it than to release is into the world and wait for feedback
